Wow! Actually feels surreal that a video me speaking is appearing on Plant Based News. Thank you for sharing. I have been following PBN since 2017 and have learned so much from the interviews you guys have done with the WFPBD promoting doctors and so much more. All the best to you and the team! Go Vegan! 🐖🐏🐥🐟🐓
Way to go! I loved your lecture. Well done! If one person in that room gives up eating God’s creatures, then it is a big success. You planted the seeds of knowledge into their minds, and now they can’t unlearn it. 💚
I feel the same way. I never realized how "unwell" I was in body and mind until I went vegan and I started feeling so much better than I ever have. When it's something you experience every day, you think it's normal and you think that's just how you're meant to feel. We're not meant to go through life feeling that way, even though it's most people's "baseline" normal. I feel bad for meat-eaters who don't know that what they're feeling is not only not normal but it's also completely avoidable. And of course, I feel even worse for all the animals that needlessly suffer and are killed because of it. It makes me angry how we've all been so brainwashed to think that the totally unnecessary killing and eating of animals is not only necessary but also GOOD FOR US - when nothing could be farther from the truth. Going vegan was definitely one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.
Thanks for featuring Arvind. He's probably the most influential activist in India. His videos are amazing and his logical approach is really effective in educating non-vegans.
Wow ! Fabulous talk ! I love his phrase: “People love to talk about things where they can’t do anything about”. So true. Go vegan ! It is powerful and easy.
Every person in the room would kill chicken ,if they stomach isnt allready full.It is a fact, and survival instinct in the nature. So speaking about not killing is complete nonsence. How many of them would kill fish and put it on the fire, and how many of them would search for plants,to feed themselfs?
#Preach!!! Be the voice for the voiceless!!! Humans have a voice! These innocent beings have committed no crime and are tortured, exploited, and violated for the simple fact that humans want to satisfy their taste buds with their decaying flesh. How sad! The Human race needs to stop being greedy and not have “ its all about me, me, me” mentality
I have said my whole life that “I love animals”, but it wasn’t until almost 4 years ago that I actually challenged myself on that statement. That’s when I had my Light Bulb moment and realized I had been a complete hypocrite; how could I say I love animals when I was actively contributing to their abuse and suffering? I went Vegan overnight and will never go back to buying or consuming animal products. Never.
Do you guys consider pet companionship, specifically pets that require meat to be morally unjust? As animal lover, I want to be in the company of animals. But certain vegans say that I’m not vegan due to this sticking point. My diet is the same no meat eggs dairy or honey but is that just not enough?
@UCFRPQLWCGafWdz28GqBNFCw The science so far suggests that dogs, and most cats (there are some exceptions) do very well and actually thrive on a plant based diet that is balanced and complete. I know a few dogs, including my own, that are doing very well plant based. So there is no real moral dilemma here. Hth 👍
@@main3182 thanks for typing all this out, just in addition to all you’ve said I hope one day that our obligate carnivore companion animals can be fed lab grown meat one day. I am 100 and ten percent for animal adoption rather than buying them :)
I loved it when he said that "humans think that they are superior to animals" This is the exact concept I was trying to teach another person when they asked me why I was vegan. I said we are equal, we both feel the same things, we have the exact same internal organs, both capable of loving and caring, both feel emotional & physical pain. In fact animals have qualities that humans don't even have!!! They are selfless, they do not envy, they are loyal to the end UNCONDITIONALLY!!!! If anything they are above humans!!!
See you are wrong, they too are selfish, and do envy when there is a threat. Unconditional love, i dont know, a street dog barks at me at night. Another wags tail because i fed biscuits.
Great to see Arvind featured here - I'm a fan. It is horrifying to see the growing popularity of KFC, McDonalds and their clones in India. Vegetarians are a very small minority in almost every state in India, and even they are unaware of the cruelty involved in the dairy industry. We need more awareness, activism and more local research.
@@claranimmer7349 Certain communities across different states are vegetarians. In some states, there are a lot more vegetarian communities. Jains are always vegetarians by default though.
@@vignesh1065 Thank‘s for the Information. A popular professor of Astrophysik said, there never was a vegan society. May be so, but inside societies there are vegan traditions like in Korean and Japanese monestaries and temples. They are healthy and have been eating like this for hundreds of years. Have a nice day.
I started drinking soya milk in tea and coffee a few years ago. I now much prefer it. I also prefer oat milk for milky coffees. The taste buds adapt very quickly to whatever you eat or drink on a regular basis and very soon you come to prefer the new option.
@@ZeMidnightPepper I discovered this in my teens when my sister challenged me to give up sugar in tea and coffee. I did so and now I find sugar in both drinks pretty unpleasant.
@@ZeMidnightPepper Apparently, taste buds are replaced every two weeks, although not always as efficiently in older adults. Nonetheless, it helps our preferences to shift quite quickly 🙂
Arvind is amazing, love to watch/listen to talks. And impressed with his passion for his cause and the compassion for animals! I became vegan about four and half years ago, after watching “Cowspiracy”. Anyway, whenever there’s discussion about veganism, I get arguments from my most beloved people, family and close friends, that because of vegans, there are more almond plantations and that kills bees. And eating honey will help bees survive. I do not believe that but it would be great if someone can help me with counter-arguments. Thanks!
If he can reach just one of those medical students, then that person could potentially affect the health outcomes of hundreds of patients. We should all be giving these kinds of talks.
Thank you @Arvind Animal Activist (and Plant Based News) for a wonderfully inspiring video. I would love to know how many of those medical students changed to a WFPB diet after listening to you. I am 79 and went vegan about 3 years ago, because I love animals and I couldn't bear seeing what we, on this planet, do to them to eat meat. Greetings from Melbourne, Australia.
Wow absolutely solid information, down to earth totally makes sense, this amazingly well put together comprehensive vegan 101 message to humans would work I believe with any demographic, any age group. Especially I love the interactive aspect. Even though the students seemed very solemn and a bit buttoned up, I did get the feeling they were completely taking it in that they were actually getting it. Because it's all truth facts and common Sense. The only trouble is the facts are the most tragic of any we can imagine. Wonderful thing is if we all work together and go vegan more and more and more by the day, we can change everything and make the tragedy nonexistent
What an incredible speech!!! One of the best, concise speeches I've ever heard for going vegan, and I've heard a lot of them in being vegan for 9 years now! When I started going vegan, there were very few notable people talking about veganism in India, one of them being Dr. Nandita Shah at SHARAN, who was amazing as well. I listened and watched all of Gary Yourofsky's content when I was first going vegan all the way until he retired in 2017, and he was my biggest hero and mentor throughout that process. I would recognize his speech structure anywhere! You did a wonderful job adapting his speeches and presenting it to an audience in India! He would be so happy and proud to see someone like you continuing his legendary work. Please keep it up, you are an amazing vegan activist!
Impressing and convincing speech by Aravind! Most of the people are unaware of the animal factory farms and it's atrocities, that's why the industry still exists; its unsustainable, and will dissappear sooner or later.
What AMAZING BRILLIANT PRESENTATION, SO MUCH GREAT FACTS that I watched it all the way to the end even without seeing any slideshow or film footage, that guy is so brilliant! Thank God for someone like him! So passionate about helping others and changing the world's for the good!
This was an amazing speech and the way it was explained was not overbearing or forceful, the way we should approach veganism is with a calm heart and open mind
