Fun fact 2: completing all the DLC campaigns (especially rivulet and saint) will give you existential crysis if you at least slightly know the lore. I’m a pretty experienced Rain World player, having played the game for almost 100 hours with no sign of stopping, and I found it hilarious how many inaccuracies there were. I do not mean this in a “Oh, how stupid you are for not knowing everything about the game,” but rather a “The fact that this game’s lore and mechanics are so deep that you probably won’t know the start of it without watching half your hours worth of RU-vid content is crazy,” way. This game is just incredible(y difficult!).

To unlock gourmand and artificer you can just beat either survivor or monk, and to unlock rivulet and spearmaster you just need to beat either gourmand or artificer. No hunter needed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The scavengers come after the collapse of civilization. All the humans (ancients) jumped into the void to ascend into enlightenment. Fun fact: The robots around the LTTM are her neurons, you ate her brain. I believe the guardians did not let you pass because animals have karma as well and your worm did not have 10 karma.

Funny fact, the guards kill any creature with a lack of karma. and the grappling hook is also alive. And they could have tried to kill you just because you were holding it in your hands.

While others have mentioned the thing about the hunter not being the requirement for the other slugcats, I haven't seen it mentioned that the reason for Downpour's options in the remix menu is that it was all previously mods! The devs hired some of the popular modders to make an official dlc. Otherwise, its always cool to see people's first routes in this game are.

Describing the Rot as "God's mistake" is very funny to hear from a Rain World outsider, considering that statement only gets more correct the more you play.

Beating hunter is purely optional. Also, that robot you mercilessly murdered is my girl moon and one getting the mark of communication from pebbles you can actually speak to her (provided you didn't eat all of the braincells prior)

I like how you liked five pebbles more than looks to the moon when everything terrible about the world is pretty much all his fault including the fact that moon is dying, when moon is the one who tried to stop him and is also just the sweetest person ever.

Monk actually has *less breath capacity* than Survivor hence will drown faster :D (Monk is also worse at throwing spears (less damage and range), is lighter and therefore more easily killed by worm grass and spider swarms, and they have a worse version of Unfortunate Development.)

I played Rain World for a bit. Hard as hell. Made it to...I don't know, five rest spots? 2 hours, 0 achievements. 10/10 game, nothing quite like it.

You actually used the light source to get through shaded citadel? I just trial and error'd my way through it thinking that this is the god intended path and goddamn did I stick to it. I also finished drainage systems and got to the end area without a light source and now I have memorised the layout of a large chunk of drainage systems and can navigate it effortlessly to my objective. I feel as if somehow what I did may have been inefficient but, on the plus side: Getting through drainage is much easier now
