While I agree with you in principle, in reality if liberty didn't give them the code it wouldn't take them long to open a liberty safe with a cutting tool. If the fed's gained access to your safe without your consent or a warrant anything they find in their couldn't be used to prosecute you.
Mechanical is obviously going to be locksmiths first answer, that may never change, it’s what’s on mine. However, I think it’s fair to point out that companies like SecuRam and AMSEC have put out quality keypads for sometime. The fact Liberty and Browning ProSteel (and some others) are willing to put LifeTime Warranties on these keypads for an extra $130/$149 says a lot of back that up. SecuRam specifically does a 2,000 round test to all their locks. I promise you’ll hear 100 answers if you ask 100 locksmiths/people with safes. I’m basing it off what we see as a company who sells/services/moves about 100+ safes a month.
Can you get this with the door hinge on the left? If not, I'm guessing you can't just stick the safe in a right corner because of the handle, so you would have to offset it from the perpendicular right wall by the depth of the handle (3-ish inches)?
No left hinge option. 3-ish inches is a fair number. I always tell people to put a door/wall stop on the wall so it catches the handle. Another option might be a Browning ProSteel 1878 49, about the same size and available in left hand hinge (pricier). I think we have 1878 video, just imagine smaller.

You should have not walked out and certainly not think for them, not pretend to know their reasons. You seem to be very picky and easily upset. Not nice to assume the worst of them, most of the time is a reflection on us and not others. And, I am sure none of their customers wear tuxedos when shopping. Boys at the counter may be busy and most guys like me prefer to look around and appreciate a brief eye contact until we are ready, which is signaled by approaching the counter. Yet, roaming around the showroom by yourself can be seen as perusing the merchandise and is weird to have someone approach and shadow you. I actually do not like the "car salesman" approach in businesses, I feel supervised or monitored, so is best to let me check it out and then come to me when I ask them to do so. Again, fine if you would have said you walked in and out because that is the fact. But, that the store staff "DECIDED" to ignore you because you didn't have money to spend is a weird allegation and NOT A FACT. IMoreover, based on your profile picture, a middle age white guy with a baseball hat is PRECISELY the customer they target and look for...so your conclusion is erred and ill bred. Maybe is an Ohio thing, but that is how we roll here, in Auto Parts, lumber yards, HVAC stores, etc. Seek help! tons of help out there, Prozac, Valium, Lithium, Xanax, etc.
