Yeah, you can dual-wield, I just like using a 2-handed weapon.

You can't get the hags hair or the plus 2 str pot without breaking you oath.

You sure can. Have the vampire talk to the woman and agree to drink while controlling him and you can get it. I also got the hags hair by having another person talk to her when she gave up. The githyanki was next in the Initiative order so it made her talk to the hag.
