My favorite combo is Fade-Touched Silverite (5 guard on hit) Armor + Fade-Touched Plush Fustian Velvet (10% Hidden Blades on hit) One-Hand weapon & shield for both instant guard fills and DPS 🤣
You can get the Chromatic Greatsword before Trespasser. But not the schematic ☝️ But once tou do get the schematic from the night time fireworks. You can go to Golden Nug and synchronize and save game. Go to before Trespasser Save File and enjoy you own forged Chromatic Geeatsword outside of Trespasser 👍
Knight Enchanter is good. But you need a good rhythm. Do not rush the abilities. Each combo requires Spirit Blade to hit, before using the second ability
Going thru the game again in preparation for the next installment I see a lot of these builds that I never tried before missing sigil of the great bear. Seeing it used on this one let's me know that the build is legit, lol.
Just a couple to add to the list: * Minthara's unique cantrip (branding) + any throwing build: Apparently, it's the thrown weapon, not the thrower that does "attacks". Minthara's cantrip only lasts until the next attack, so if you cast it on a char that uses throwing, it never breaks because the thrower never attacks. She can cast it on allies, so she can be built as a cleric or something that doesn't use bonus actions a lot. The bonus damage is crazy around lvl 8 when you first get Minthara, and it remains relevant. * Glaive that enchants weapons (bought in the tower in act2) + twin spell metamagic: It works together, you get to enchant two weapons.
People says Mage is for CC and AOE damage while Rogue is for Single Target DPS.. Well for artificer they can do it all single target DPS, AOE damage, CC, support....
the tactics system of Inquisition forces you to play active damage dealer. No more pure tank builds or CC healer. I really hope this is addressed in Veilguard cause it really was fun from time to time to play support role in Origins and just watch your party obliterate everyone
I didnt consider detonating sleep myself. Might uninstall the mod that fixes the sleep debuff with weaken and shocked so i can try this. Being upfront like that sounds fun

I know am super late for this lol however this looks good does still this hold up? Am a Templar now and trying to figure out a good build o don’t mind being two handed or sword and shield
interesting to know there are other ways to trigger this. I discovered a similar bug years ago to let you use hail of arrows (focus ability) without using up focus by using full draw and then quickly hitting hail immediately after.
I personally enjoy riftmage+icemage The amount of chill/freeze/sleep I'm pulling off with solas controls the whole field. I use blizzard along with the reduced mana and rift mana regen+amulet of regen from emprise map.
For further clarification for those who can't seem to make this work, you swing Spirit blade and right when you get damage numbers from the attack do you then pop energy barrage. Its best not to spam click barrage as this will cause it to not work.
