Great info love the info put out in the gear gadget series. Byron Horton and Whitetail experience puts out solid content. I have learned a lot from both of your guys channels.
Another permethrin trick is to pick up cattle ear tags treated with them, they hang on the tops of my turkey boots typically I find a green for my spring turkey season here in South East Oklahoma, then transition to a black or brown for deer season. Not many if any ticks/chiggers above my boot line.
Literally went out yesterday for some scouting and camera set up, I used permethrin all turkey season...but not yesterday...yanked off 15 plus ticks that had attached to me during the course of the day. Brutal. Such a mistake...I’ll never do that again.
Permethrin is great. I have found that best bang for buck is to buy Gordon’s permethrin 10 for live stock areas at Your local farm store and mix it in a spray bottle. It is a concentrate so makes a lot. Spray my cloths the night before let dry and you are good. 32oz for around $14.
Ticks haven't been a real concern for me but maybe they should. I have never logged that many miles ever in a season, let alone one one set of boots. I have always preferred gloves and maybe I'll try a muff.
Great video series. You guys are coming up with some new innovative videos...from whitetail cribs to this new one, very entertaining, useful info for us whitetail attics. What about something along the lines of old school vs nu skool type video series.? Compare old spotting scopes, binos, boots, camo, bows, camers? I'm in the market for a spotting scope but having a hard time coming off the money for new, wondering if I can buy one 5 years old and still serve my needs ok? Thanks guys, keep up the good work.
Unless you're moving for miles and beating the hell out for your feet without a taking a break here and there an after market isn't crucial. A well made sock will help in general and proper foot care as well. Know your feet and take care of them, it'll keep you in the hunt and even keep you alive.
