Don’t disagree tbh 60m would be good for both parties. Only just turned 24, never worse than a 7/10, homegrown, getting better with every passing season, leader, there so many qualities. In todays market, think it’s a good deal

Smith Rowe for 35m makes less sense than mctominay for 25m for me. Smith Rowe has started 4 games and came off the bench in 4 games over the last 2 years. Scott got 10 goals last season and offers a lot of flexibility.

I agree that Tuchel was being a huge cry baby about the general quality of the squad, but I also think that Hansi Flick only made Kimmich and Goretzka work because of his high-intense pressing style which can't be sustained for more than one or two seasons. Goretzka was quite mediocre under Nagelsmann and that's when the problem of him being the partner of Kimmich was somewhat discovered by the majority of fans. I don't think having 4 players for 2 positions when you're competing for all titles is enough, especially because none of them is a nailed on superstar in that position at the moment. Also, I would say that Kimmich was quite underwhelming under Tuchel when he played in midfield. I can totally understand that Tuchel wanted to shift him and get players that fit his system more.

Why wouldn't it be possible for longer then 2 seaons? I agree with Goretzka, he has his limits for sure. Get's overhated a lot to, when the general shape of the team isn't that good he almost always gets the blame. I think under Tuchel it just was a Tuchel problem, no clear style, crying for a midfielder and not playing Kimmich there (who is and was one of the best, if not the best midfieldr in the world) He did a lot of weird and stupid things imo. Firing him but then agreeing with his assesment doesnt really make a lot of sense. Guerreiro can also play in midfield, I think they were fine, have a good youth just play them for a 1000minutes a season.

@@tybomortier1211 It's not possible for longer than 2 seasons because no team has ever managed to do so. We could easily see it with Liverpool when literally their entire squad was injured and Klopp had to adapt tactics and move away from intense pressing. Tuchel is stupid, I agree. But Goretzka wasn't that great under Nagelsmann either. Goretzka is just not suited in a double pivot IF his partner is not a defensive monster (like Palinha). Guerreiro can play midfield but he's injury-prone and rarely ever played as an actual midfielder in his career. He's also the only attack-minded LB option other than Davies who's been average for a while now, so I would not want to shift him into midfield tbh
