Dr Mandell is the real deal! The first time I watched him I thought he was going to try to sell something, but nope!! Just straight to the point healthy advice. God bless this man!!
I use flax seed in my salads. I bring it in small container to restaurants to add to my salad. I also use chia seeds and raw hemp seeds. Add to peanut butter to eat with apple as a snack.
Superb info as usual. Just one serious mistake. Never buy flaxseeds already ground, always buy whole and grind yourself as the oil in them goes rancid v quickly. Therefore grind about 2 weeks worth at a time and store in a glass jar in fridge to maintain optimal nutrition.
Dr. Mandela states he buys his flaxseed already ground as flax meal..purchase the same but organic and leave them in the fridge in the sealable package. They will never go rancid and are even better digested than the whole seeds!
Thanks, Dr. Mandell for sharing. We used flaxseed each day. Following a healthy diet is the way to go, and having a daily connection with GOD increases our health 🙏
@@aprilgayles8389 I use Linwood's organic milled flax seeds. I buy a large bag from Costco. good value. I just sprinkle about a tbspoon on my breakfast.
My grandparents always had flaxseed in the kitchen & used them in many healthy recipes. They lived well into their 90s. 🥰 Thank You Doctor Mandell for always helping us to stay healthy!!🙏🏼🌻

If you bought a big bag, you should keep it cool and dry, when it is grounded it can easely become "bad"... I always buy the seeds and ground it every week, and keep that in the fridge.....Just want to help....

For breakfast I eat Cream of Buckwheat, and I use ground flaxseed in it. I call it Organic Hearty Cream of Buckwheat with Walnuts, Blueberries and Over Easy Eggs. I would like to share with you the recipe. Please read fully before attempting this, it will help. I do my best to eat all organic food. I suggest you use organic as well for the best health benefits. I hope you enjoy. The recipe is: 1. First, crack two eggs in a bowl, set aside for step 10. For reference, I am using a gass stove top. To begin the Cream of Buckwheat, start with a small dry saucepan, on low heat, add 1/4 cup organic cream of buckwheat and lightly toast for 45 seconds to 1 minute (keep it moving to avoid burning). Then add 1 and 1/3 cup of liquid, half water and half organic buttermilk which is healthiest and tastiest. The brand I prefer is Bob's Red Mill Organic Buckwheat (the texture is the best). 2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt and stir in. 3. Add one tablespoon of organic extra virgin olive oil and just under one tablespoon of organic Maple syrup. Mix or stir in well. 4. Add 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of organic turmeric and 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of organic ginger, fresh grated or dry ground. Mix well until the color changes to a nice smooth orange cream. 5. Add 1/2 teaspoon organic Ceylon cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of organic cacao powder. Mix well. The color will slightly darken. This will be at the 5-6 minutes of cooking time. 6. At this point, add 1 teaspoon of Organic HTB (Himalayan Tardy Buckwheat) Powder. This is a super food. I buy mine from "Big Bold Health". 7. Next add 1 lightly mounded tablespoon of organic ground flax seed and stir in well. This will cause the buckwheat to thicken more. As long as you’re still on low heat, the buckwheat will be moist enough. There should not be the need to add any liquid. At this point you will be in 8 minutes of cooking time. (At this point, go to step 10 (recipe for eggs), this is important to start now before moving to step 8) 8. Next, to your buckwheat, add about two handfuls of (hand crushed) organic walnut halves and mix in. 9. Lastly add 1/3 cup of fresh or frozen organic blueberries and stir in. This will bring up the cooking time to 11 minutes and turn the burner to the lowest setting and place a lid on the saucepan. Now, to finish, go to step 12. ----- (For the protein part of this recipe, other than the walnuts, when you are about 8 minutes in for the cream of buckwheat, before step 8, which is adding walnuts and the blueberries, move to step 10) 10. In a very small skillet, on medium to low heat, start one-part organic butter and one-part organic extra virgin olive oil to lightly cover the pan bottom. (olive oil should not heat up too much) 11. Once the butter is melted and mixed with the olive oil, cook the 2 organic eggs set out from before and add a pinch of sea salt and organic black pepper on top. Lightly fry for about 3 minutes on one side (be careful not to overcook, stay on medium low heat). Now go back to step 8. 12. Then, after the 3 minutes, in which you did step 8 and 9, flip the eggs while the yolks are still runny (be careful not to break the yolks). Turn the burner off for both and let the eggs sit for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Now your food is ready to eat. Spoon out your cream of buckwheat in a nice size bowl and then place your two over easy eggs on top. It is best to eat with a spoon. Enjoy all your efforts. Edited Additional note: I recommend setting out your measuring utensils and ingredients before you start. Don’t worry if you can’t get your timing correct the first time. What helps for me is keeping the Buckwheat on extremely low heat and not boiling while cooking. This will allow it to thicken but not overcook too quickly. Good luck Second additional note: I may have been a little too strict on the time. I think this recipe may need a couple more minutes so that you are not rushed putting everything together. I tried the recipe myself, as I had written it, and I come to find out that I was a little too rushed. I do apologize for this. I think a couple more minutes per step is best. Hope this helps.
Thank you for the upload, that’s a lot of effort put into the information. I for one will be trying as I need a new breakfast regime. Sounds like a winner to me. Thank you once again. From Brisbane Aus.😊
To everyone who is trying this recipe, since I uploaded it, I hope you found it enjoyable. I did add an additional note for timing because I, myself, found that my 1 to 2 minutes per step is just a little too restrictive. If you add a couple more minutes to the entire recipe, I believe this will help. I apologize if the recipe felt rushed when making. I hope this helps. And please feel free to make this recipe your own, by finding or adjusting to your own timing. Have a great day!
I have not stayed with flaxseed. However, with this information, I will apply flaxseed in my food. I do not have a gallbladder. I need the fiber for sure to help with digestion health. ❤
Thank u our Doctor for loving and caring for us all u have be a very good help to me on others may our Powerful God continue to bless and keep u always Amen ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Dr. Mandell. I'm definitely going to be buying ground flaxseed on my next trip to Aldi's. I was just told by my primary that my glucose is now in the diabetic range. I believe that the diabetes is medically induced by the prescriptions I'm on, one especially Repathha. I have stopped talking it after discussing this with my cardiologist. I'm a septuagenarian, but I'm still concerned about making healthy choices and looking for natural remedies instead of pharmaceuticals.
I used to eat the Seeds only because I knew they were good for you but after watching Dr. M.'s Video & getting all this Good Info, I will be putting Grounded Flax Seeds back into my Diet. Tx U for this Video!
Excellent video. I buy bulk flax seed (they won’t go rancid) and keep in a food safe bucket. I grind only what I will use ( I grind it with my vitamix) within a couple of weeks.
I’ve been eating flaxseeds for years now. I buy them ground and use them in muffins, cookies & smoothies! Doctor , would you do a segment on the benefits of Apricot seeds? ❤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Doctor Mandel is different but all in the right direction. He actually helps people if they listen and start taking his advice. A lot of us have been BRAINWASHED to the myth in our culture that health comes out of pharmacies and little pills in vials. In acute circumstances this may apply (antibiotics, vaccines, inhalers, EpiPens and cardiac emergency) but generally it is thinking from a lazy outlook and another century.
OK our toughs about this. 1- I'm a little perplexe about the ground seeds that you buy at the store. Many years ago a phytotherapeute and recently by a naturel food store owner, told me to Nevers buy pre ground flax seeds becauce it looses it's property. Alway fresh ground seeds and onces grounded, to put it in the fridge not more then 2 weeks. -------- 2- Also just learn, when we consum the hole grain our body absorbe 30% of it's proprety but grand it, our body absorbé 90% of ot's property. ----- 3- as we age our body loose pur collagène, but we can help our body to produire ot own collagène by taking 3 to 6 tables soon of 6 grains. All together or à mixte of 3 at the time.. flax seed Chia Sesame seeds (rich in oxalate) Hemp Sunflowers seeds Pumking seeds
So are you saying that buy the whole flax seed the grind them storage in refrigerator for no more then two weeks at a time, what about the others you listed, chic seeds ?
