Don't cut the boards unless you're installing bed steps. Side bed steps are an option that few have and they're very nice to have. Your long boards are effectively side bed steps too.
Spray in liner will by your favorite thing you do to the truck. First thing I do to my trucks! Side note on cutting your running boards- if you leave them long then you have a platform to step on and get stuff out of your bed. May or not be useful for you but something to think about. All the best.
Nice! Ford threw in a Lynex lining when I bought my 2016 Platty. Get yourself the Ford F-150 OEM rubber bed mat also. Very nice. Cuts down on noise and things don’t slide around as much.
Drop in bed liners have the habit of collecting small sand and stone particles under it - no wonder how it gets there but it does and when it does it acts like sandpaper, making the bed eventually rust at some spots. Rapotorliner or what ever spray in bed-liner is protecting the paint and making t more rust resistant they are easy to refresh.
The extra running board length is nice for a step up to grab something out of the front of the bed. Good call on getting the Rhino Liner. I had one sprayed in when my 2018 SuperCrew was new and love the look.
Or even better keep an eye at junkyards for 2015 F150 Lariot/Platinum for electric massage seats and have these customized, then you don,t have to wait while current seats are being worked on and can still use the truck.
The bed liner looks awesome! I've got the hard plastic liner in my 2010 f150, been thinking about getting a think liner, can't wait to see the tonneau cover you choose. Thanks for the video. Just got my winter tires for my truck and next spring I get new rims! Keep up the good work 😎
Eh, it's not as impressive as you'd think. I have a 2016 5.0 with the new gen Whipple 2.9 and large throttle body. It's quick if the truck is in stock form. Now that it's lifted 5 inches and 35s , it's not that great. 11mpg driving like a grandpa isn't great either. RU-vid doesn't pay me for the parts though , so that would be an incentive.
oh and if you want any decent customer service after spending 8K with Whipple, forget about it. My kit was direct from Whipple and missing so many parts that I had to go get my own hardware and modify hoses, screws etc . The directions were also on par with the shittiest of Chinese ebay parts. Well built supercharger but absolute trash communication and customer service.
Well its about damn time mike! Lol you finally listened to us. Looks awesome, cant wait to see what hard cover you are going with also. I know you didnt say it but i feel like its gonna be the Bakflip MX4 because well its a damn nice cover lol. I've been waiting for more F150 content
I have running boards just like that on my Expedition. I like them more than the other ones. They are wider than the stationary ones and I like how it looks when they are up.
I'd leave the running boards that length so you can reach the objects that are in the front part of the bed - against the cab. Just a suggestion Mike. Your beauty perspective, your truck.
I honestly don’t mind that it took 5 days for you to upload a video, because as always the quality is great , I hate those channels that rush to make a video every single day, because in a real person life not every day is fun or exciting
You gotta go with the 2.9 whipple. VMP is good but the whipple is on a whole another level. Plus they have great customer service! Loved it on my 15 5.0. 650wheel horse power can’t beat it. Maybe think of doing billet oil pump gears. They are powdered metal stock. Just a good longevity mod.
I was gonna say don't cut the running board , it's long so you can reach the bed. But others said the same thing. Which brings this question....Do the doors have to be open for the running board to stay deployed? If it hides when you close the door I guess that extra length may screw things up.
Hopefully you go with a roll/sliding cover. I have a Snugtop on my truck and it’s great... except when you put something in the bed that’s higher than the bed. It’s annoying to have the cover/lid tilted imo
It will be interesting to see how those running boards work in the winter when you get all that snow build up from driving. Will they still work or freeze up on you?
You have to get an tonneau cover with a big autovlog logo in the middle, that would be nice. And I think that the running boards are nicer and more practical now.
I have a 2016 F150 (that I love) and I see we have the same annoying feature -the annoying chrome reflection of the vents in the side mirrors. Perhaps a mod to fix it should be your next video?
Considering buying your year truck used but supercrew, worried about unreliability. Is there anyway you can do a long lasting review? Thanks :) found something for like 25k with 40k miles!
You get a bed liner for your own reasons. I have a Bedrug. It fulfills my needs. But a liner just to improve looks? I think a painted bed looks better than any kind of liner.
Get a DiamondBack Truck cover!! There awesome and you can lock all your stuff inside it. Plus, you can load up to 3,000 pounds on the top, like a 4-wheeler or Quad. Plus, it comes in Black Diamond covered just like your spray I bad liner!! Their the Best truck cover you could ever want and it makes your truck look Super BadAss!!! Wouldn’t go with any other cover!! American made!!!
Hope you respond. How can I modify the ford logo on my f250. I bought the truck a couple of days ago and it is all black, like I wanted it to be but the big for logo is a eyesore to me at least. Big blue and silver it doesn't go with the looks of the truck at all. Ford 2019 f250 Lariat sport pkg. Help. thanks.
I was wondering if you have ever done a Vlog on how to buy a car since you used to be a car salesman. I never know what to ask or how far to go when dealing with a dealer, your insight would be greatly appreciated!.
I’d never buy a new truck with a factory bedliner again. They don’t prep the bed before spraying it. My F150 factory liner started to peel on the tailgate in a short time, anything you drug out of the box hooked the ridge on the tailgate and started it peeling.
Great video, but as well as a sprat in bed liner which of course makes it look better. A leather interior would really set the truck off. Keep up the good work ✊☝
Mike there's a complete used supercharger kit that utuber It's just a 6 is going to sell because he put a different setup in his 5.0 Mustang. It might be worth your while to get ahold of him. He said on his channel that it's going up for sale like 3 days ago.
I’m thinking of getting a 2019 Raptor early next year, is it possible to get that material for the bed liner underneath the wheel wells? Also there’s a huge gap in the front of the engine and wheels, because I’m a clean freak I’m sure there’s something one can add so mud/sand/water doesn’t get up in there right? 🤔🤔 Anyone ?
Linex would have been better. they dont put liner material on the bed bolts i dont think so you can actually remove your bed if you need to without destroying the liner
Hey man I've been watching some of your videos and not bad and I think for that step that you think about cutting off making a shorter I think you should leave it because sometimes you need to get on the side of your truck in the back you could step up on that and get inside there then going from the front of it meaning the back
The Running Boards are long for a reason, they act as a step to get into the bed, do not cut them. Also, how could you not get a spray-in bedliner in a truck when you buy it, makes 0 sense. Glad you went spray-in over drop-in, however. Spray in's have better longevity and keep the actual bed in better condition, i.e. no water leaking under and etc.
I’ve always loved the beats mike use, Hell all the music.. Shits Dope.. Come On Mike Lets See You Project That Chevy 💪🏽👌🏽 That’ll Be Some 🔥 Ass Content ‼️ As Always Great Content either Way 💯
