The evil step mother trope is old and boring and no would support the greens if it was a direct book adaptation.i absolutely loved the friends to enemies

@@matthunter983 (spoiler alert)firstly the book is written as an in universe history book so the events are from multiple people,maester munkun,mushroom etc the maesters are likely to favor the greens as they are ‘serve’ the Hightowers.they are likely to make Rhaenyra the ‘evil’ villain that’s why even in the main universe they say a queen never sat the throne even though Rhaenyra sat it for half a year if I remember correctly. The evil king trope?they show has shown us the sympathetic side of aegon and the love that he so deeply seeks so I don’t know what you’re on about

@@Pouncealot2023 maesters are likely to favor the greens?...and the writers of the show are clearly favoring the blacks..so much so that they portrayed Rhaenys mvrdering a hundred poor oppressed innocent peasants in season one as an act of heroism, yet Aegon mistreating a poor oppressed servant girl as a act of pure evil, which it was, yet Rhaenys committing a far more heinous act, the mass mvrder of innocent small folk,more than likely including many many women and children who had nothing at all do do with political nonsense, was portrayed by the show to be an act of heroism..how do you explain that other than the show writers are trying to make viewers cheer on the blacks

@@Pouncealot2023 yet in the source material one can argue Alicent is portrayed in a more ill light that Rhaenarya ...show Alicent too has been mostly stripped of her cruelty...also, in season one the show, Aegon mistreating and abusing a servant girl is portrayed as being an act of pure evil, which it of course was...yet later in the season, in a later episode Rhaenys mv rdering at least a hundred poor innocent peasants, a far more heinous act than what Aegon committed, given it is almost certain many innocent peasant women and children were the victims of Rhaenays cruel act is portrayed, by show, as an act of heroism and empowerment ..how can you explain that?..how can you explain a show, that supposedly claims monarchical rule and feudalism are inherently cruel and oppressive, include a scene in which a high ranking member of the wicked ruling class mvrders hundreds of innocent members of the oppressed class, a frame that scene as being, not an act of cruelty inflicted by a member of the privileged oppressor class, but rather as a heroic and empowering act
