Bravo that the Police are watching. Tourists still act entitled. And some Guards were not speaking up. Why did their Service enact nee rules NOT to have the Troopers respect and enforce them?
In my opinion, this activity is a historical mark, now it mainly serves tourists... and sometimes the guards on horses are not required to do that. Think about it, if your superiors tell you to follow the rules but you don't follow them, you will definitely be fired... so the guards here are not required to yell at tourists... so we don't need to be harsh with them.
Yesterday Guards were allowing tourists to step in by the horses. One lady was there mauling the horses head. Pulling the reins. Kissing the horse. Others grabbing the horses. Guards said NOTHING. I actually emailed their Commander.
