Someone from Edinburgh here, let me tell you, the reason you didn’t find many locals is because no self respecting person would be on the royal mile during fringe unless they absolutely had to
It was a bit different when we used to get discounts by having an edi post code but then they got rid of that which sucks. So there’s basically no reason to go anywhere near the centre during the fringe anymore
Max clearly doesn’t know the unwritten rule that is anyone from Edinburgh or the Edinburgh area locks themselves in their houses and hides for the entire festival period.
Okay, I might be over a year late to comment here, but can I just point out that “Zeroko’s Teatime” (3:21) is a fantastic show. They performed after the show I was in, and they are great. A mute comedy is hard to do well and they do it flawlessly. They had went for a few years before 2020.
Guy at the end sums it up lol, i do enjoy going back up home for the fringe but when i lived in edinburgh i was just like, get out of my way im trying to speedwalk to Greggs
You should check out Ross Smith who had his show Crying Shame this year. He managed to get into Dave's Top Ten Funniest Jokes of the Fringe list twice! Definitely the best act I saw at the Fringe this year!
Weird that this just came up in my recommendations... My boyfriend has just got back from performing in a play called Conscious at the Fringe! He absolutely hated the flyering part, and after watching this, I can see why 😂 cool video
I performed in the Edinburgh fringe this year with my theatre group! So annoyed that I missed you! Also I tried a deep fried mars bar and threw up 7 times the next day, so..... 😂❤️
Yeah, it's rare to find a local on the royal mile during the Fringe in the middle of the work week. They're usually at work, cursing the Tourist traffic on the way in and out from work. Pre pandemic ofcourse :(
