Maaan I loved the comic stupidity of these trolls, I'm even more excited for Mundo rework now, riot just showed us that it can make funny dumb characters, Mundo just gotta be the funniest and dumbest and we are all set. Kled showed me how a voice acting can bring life to a character so I wouldn't jump the gun and say that Mundo design will be pretty and boring without listening to the VO and seeing the animations of the character... Really hope Mundo has an ability where he tries to make an attack, trips and fall on his face, it would be so funny seeing that inside the game
@@fuckhead0 He basically says it in the story: Hes a dumbass compared to others, you see this when Lissandra spoke and he tried to comprehend the ice below him. But hes aware hes still smarter than the avg troll by a mile and witty to boot.
The story about the trolls eating is taken from a Norwegian folk story. the name is Askeladden som kappåt med trollet (The boy, the troll and the porridge-eating contest)
16:50 reminds me alot of an old Norwegian fairytail called "Askeladden kappåt med trollet" or "The Ashlad and the Hungry Troll" in english. Where the Ashlad would also dare a huge troll who's head was full of moss to a eating contest and also use a bag to stuff meat, and thus also cut his "stomach" (the bag) open in order to trick the troll into killing himself. Funny how this is exactly the same as Trundle did to Yettu hahahha. Looks like the writer had some inspiration xD
This is actually just a rewrite of a classic Nordic fable about a boy who gets sent out to kill a troll. He goes through different challenges and it ends with an eating contest where he places his backpack in front to eat more and then he cuts his “stomach” open in the same way trundle does. It’s comparable to the story David and Goliath, but with human ingenuity instead of the powder of god.

There will be about 5 cat people before another troll is introduced. In case you haven't realised yet, riot dropped its dota/warcraft roots and gone full weeb because it sells.
I love how all champions corelate to eachother in each of their stories, like trundle to lissandra, ornn to braum, and many more. Its just nice to see different interactions. Great work on these riot
the sequence of mildly heartwarming moment with Trundle and Sligu straight into "unfortunately i couldn't really do justice to how stupid trolls are" about killed me

The Faces of the Old Ones are one of my favorite cards lore-wise just cause they show how many old ancient monstrous things there are in Freljord even in addition to yetis and watchers
Frost Trolls are by far my favorite Race in Runeterra and i constantly try to come up with ways to railroad my DND Campaign into an expedition towards Freljord just so that i can use frostrolls against them
