4:20 Ah yes, nothing screams "being there for your friend whenever she needs you" louder than "imma be gone to another continent for an unknown period of time". xD
I like the detail of the blood moon signifying the birth of a new spirit walker. It just kind of fleshes out the universe, like how real cosmic events in our world can be interpreted in two drastically different ways, so too does the blood moon. In Ionia, it's a symbol of foreboding, signifying the threat of demons, while in the freliord, it means the birth of a new potential warrior
Great update of the story. I do hope though that Udyr is Sejuanis father, since it would make the whole idea of Udyr helping the Winters Claw even deeper. He oc doesnt have to know it, but imo it just would give a nicer touch to both characters and their relationship
I’d love to have the Seal Sister as a champ. Just this weird little old lady in a big fur jacket who transforms into a big seal. We don’t really have any old lady champs besides Camille. So a kooky old trickster goddess would be a nice addition.
Only if in her first story she blesses Nunu XD But I agree. I've wanted the Seal Sister as a champ for YEARS, and now it seems that the time is really close. Although they'll probably add the Iron Boar first...
"Born in Piltover to Zaunite parents, Seraphine can hear the souls of others-the world sings to her, and she sings back." - Is seraphine one of the spirit walkers? lol
The point about the voice line, I feel like Udyr wouldn't know Sejuani is his daughter. Him and Kalkia probably got it on while spending time together then when Udyr decided not to return to the Winters Claw, Kalkia gave birth. So Im thinking that both Udyr and Sejuani are both unaware of their blood tie which is why they feel like family to each other
Udyr was one of my first champions when I started playing. Always loved the whole “spiritual martial artist” archetype but with the twist that he’s not from an Asian derived culture. So to see him given such a thorough reboot of his backstory and a truly badass redesign, makes me so happy.
honestly i like Graves and TF and i’m a huge fan of Leona and Dianna (their story is so perfect) but i feel like udyr and lee sun just fit more as close bonded friends more than lovers
Yo Necrit! Can you cover the new Darkin in the Legends of Runeterra expansion? The Darkin Halbred, The Darkin Ballista, The Darkin Lodestone, and the Darkin Bloodletters?
I still don't understand why Riot felt the need to keep Udyr and Sejuani's relationship vague. Like why don't they just straight up say that Udyr is or isn't Sejuiani's father? Riot has been adding these unnecessary details a lot recently where it doesn't really lead to any interesting plots because it's literally useless information that adds nothing. Look at Kassadin's daughter and what happened to the retcon to Yasuo's brother Yone. When Yasuo was released, Yone was referred to as his brother. But when Yone released, it specifically states that he's his half-brother. Does this change add drama to their relationship? Does Yasuo see his brother differently for being his half-brother? Does this put a strain on their relationship as children? What did they do with this change exactly? Absolutely nothing. What about Kassadin's daughter? When Kai'Sa was first teased, everyone knew her as Kassadin's daughter that came back. Swain's kill quote from Kassadin referred to Kai'Sa as the "girl who came back". But a lore Rioter actually denied this and claimed that she is in fact not his daughter and that they have never even met. So what even really is it? Everyone and even other Rioters wants Kai'Sa to be Kassadin's daughter. Even in the KDA universe she's his daughter. So clearly they want him to be Kai'Sa's father and intended for that. Even in the most recent story that includes her with Bel'Veth, she states that there are only two people that survived against the void. Her and her "father". Who is her father exactly? Well it's clearly obvious that it's Kassadin but even still it's not outright stated. It's just so that they can keep the story open ended so they can change it up on future stories when they decide to come back on it. They're just making this more confusing and unnecessary. These little details are very minor but if they're gonna include it, at least have it be important to their story.
Sejuani's updated bio has always stated that she was the daughter of a political marriage and never hinted toward Udyr being anything more than an Oathfather, this isn't a recent change, rather Necrit is only now acknowledging this fact.
In the game Legends of Runeterra. Path of Champions showcases certain champion's journey in a 3-part adventure. Lee sin's 3rd part is currently locked, and as of now, Targon, Freljord & Shadow Isles are the only regions in the map that is left locked. So... Since it is confirmed in this story that Lee sin is the one who went to Freljord. It would make sense if the last part for Lee sin's journey is fighting Udyr.
I hope necrit you make lore video on Cultist/Darkin, Kayn, Wuju followers and master Yi card in lor cards and I am curious what Darkin weapon does Yi have
Hmmm.. When the riot mmo releases maybe those other kinds of people could be a class. Udyr is a Spiritwalker, he is not the only one. Maybe Spiritwalker could be a playable class.
Udyr's story is great, delivered by an excellent narrator! Especially enjoyed the co-op where Lee Sin and Udyr shared a journey for growth and mastery.
10:55 . . . Where? Because of the blind fold thing? When I heard that, I thought, “very cool martial arts brother bond. Befitting how in this version they’re more like peers than master and student.”
The spirit of the Freljord is dying. Volibear and Udyr interpret this as the Avarosan movement towards peace and farming corrupting the spirit. This could actually be the Watchers returning to full strength. Or Lissandra poisoning the Freljord via the Black Ice. After all, the Iceborn are how the Freljordians were turned into weapons by the Watchers. ("We were human once, then the Watchers came. They changed us, forged us into weapons, made us Iceborn." -Gregor, Eternal Guardian of the Howling Abyss.) True Ice forms from the sacrifice of Iceborn. The Black Ice is void corrupted True Ice. I wouldn't put it past the Watchers to have made the Iceborn specifically as a poison to the spirit of the Freljord. The Freljord is so closely connected to the blood of its people. ("The land is sown in blood" -Volibear.) And at the very least Iceborn turning into True Ice deprives the Freljord of the blood of its strongest warriors. Wouldn't be surprised if all the True Ice weapons were actually forged from dead Iceborn either. It would explain Ashe's True Ice bow being buried at that great battlefield all too well (the one in the comic).
Turning iceborns into true ice weaponry is quite parallel to the real-life Viking weapons. They used their ancestor's remains to their iron weapons, accidentally making steel which is stronger (carbon and iron).
pleaseeee on next video make a lore explantion with a new card in legends of runterra rise of darkin update plzzzzzz I wanna know about jun yi aprentice Im so lazy to read a card That I dont even know what's behind it sooo plzzzzzzzz
as there are other demigods in freljord (elk, fox, lynx, mammoth, murkwolf, owl, raven, walrus), I wish udyr has a rival spirit walker of some sorts, like a reverse udyr, the yang to the ying of udyr. somewhat a champion that is a necessary evil to freljord. one that udyr hates but needs. bruh I cannot think of a reverse udyr tho lol, maybe an extroverted loud frail thin no haired homophobic man, with complete mastery/control to the spirits with ease, germophobe maybe? likes multiple stacks of clothes(doesn't like being naked like udyr) a person with high ego, narcissistic, has ocd
Hm, interesting, a very interesting Story, though i wonder, was Udyr right about what was giving his Land Pain? Or did he jump the gun on that conclusion? Hm, i wonder what his current status in Canon is?
Are the Avarosans killing the spirits of the land? I mean, with all the Void Born and Void gods all around, they might have had a hand in killing parts of the Freljord. Or maybe it’s just Lissandra being petty. Who knows.
I think Lissandra has a part of it for eating her people's dreams to render the watchers deep in the howling abyss, or Bel'veth and her remoras start to approach North
I mean, anivia which is a demi god of the land supports the avarosans, so it can't be them. Probably is the watchers draining the life from around them, lissandra is struggling to keep them contained
@@twistedfate62 which is a all to human thing to do if something bad is happening and you don’t know why then blame a group you don’t like I liked udyr story except for that last part.
Necrit my friend I need help, is Kindred the most powerful champion when it comes to lore ? I'm confused I'm seeing all these creators and people say they are not ? Pls help
If an entity can die they automatically lose or will lose to Kindred at some point, so they are the most powerful champion by techinicality, but not the most powerful entity since we don't really know if the watchers can die or not
@@tenderandmoist5011 I see I mean I know that but Yordles can't die right ? They are immortal as far as I know , same with Olaf? He can't dies while he fights ? Right
"Uniting all tribes under one banner would harm the spirits of the land." I don't understand, does Udyr think if the Frelyordians don't kill and raid each other camps on a weekly basis then Frelyord will be doomed?
Hm, His story truly is beautiful. I still don't understand how he doesn't catch a cold like this xD. I hope that what would come next from the darkin expansion in lor (aka new Kayn, order of shadow members and darkin) and the new datkin champion will be very good as well. And also - Please Riot confirm the new info from lor as canon!
he is. Its not "forced" at all. Him and Lee Sin were romantic. Udyr is at least Bi since he loved a woman and then a man. Lee Sin is unknown atm. I dont think we know of any romances he's had except with Udyr.
@@jibbygibs25 udyr literally says "twice i have loved, twice i have left" hes talking about sejuani's mom, and lee sin. he literally says he loved lee sin. theyre not just "gym bros" lol
Tbh... I would prefer Udyr and Lee's relationship to be platonic. It would be nice to have some positive male relationships in League. Most of the male v male relationships in League are ones of hatred or they don't really associate with one another. Plus having the power of Bro-manship and Bro-mance (TF n Graves) would be awesome. But if Riot goes the other direction I would still like the character.
@@JuanitO_o that's not what he's saying lol he's saying udyr and Lee need to be like, bro levels of friends, like akin to how Graves and TF kinda are even those champs really are gay for each other
I think Necrit is trying to tell us something here. The story said nothing about Udyr's love or sexual interest in anyone and he still wants him to be gay...hmmm...
