Kaminari is very good I just feel they need to work around with his lighting bolts but other than that a decently fast paced character and is very good for setup
@@Shadow82311Nah, the electric bolts rarely make the difference. Not enough damage on hit + you have to get hit twice in succession for them to stun you which is okay at best. However, in specific instances, when they do get their time to shine, they are pretty fun. They do need a damage buff tho since I'll often see enemies just not care and walk straight through the trap lol.
Hes an incredible burst dps character especially with the gamma into alpha shots combo. Problem is, he lacks powerful/meaningful mobility or defensive tools (the bolt traps are okay at best). Which causes him to often get overwhelmed when low on health, and he can't chase enemies to secure K.O's at all.
I’ve played denki quite a bit, and from my experience, the dome has gotten me killed more times then it’s helped me. I pretty much exclusively use it if I’m getting jumped or they are armor broken. His gamma is easily is best quirk ability in my opinion. If done right and if your fast enough landing it is basically a instant guard break or down. I level up my A first, then Y, and I finish with B. The Y into A combo is my bread and butter, it makes him so good in the one Vs. one. I find myself rarely using his special honestly, it’s kind trash even against the melee characters. He’s a extremely fun character, but it can be tilting to play as him sometimes.
Yes, that's how I use him aswell, the dome sucks since it doesn't really stun so your letting yourself open to everyone, just electric dash to projectiles is the way to go
Overall I believe good ol' ⚡️human pikachu⚡️ is a solid B+ tier character. He's good, but overall, he's a step below some of the greats (which is hard to say as i love his character and quirk). The reason being is that his Gamma quirk is really the entire kit, as its the only strong tool in his arsenal. Now why is this? Well thunderbolt traps from his alpha aren't scary enough for players to care. Most tend to just run right straight through them since the only punishment they'll recieve is a measly 20-30 dmg and a small stun if they for some reason get hit by them twice in a row His special move is easily the worst in the game. It hardly ever sees significant use, and even on the off chance it is used and actually connects, it's simply redundant. And Indiscriminate shock... dear lord... its SO baaaaad 😢. Its to the point where I won't bother to level it up most games unless I have extra lvl cards. It deals very low dps at all lvls, has a tiny radius before lvl9 (and even then it doesnt get too much better), doesn't hitstun enemies at all, and completely leaves you open to just about any attack in the game. The sheer amount of times ive died using this thing in situations it should shine in is straight up tragic. Now, how would I recommend fixing these issues? 1. Have the lightning bolt traps instantly knockback the victim away from the trap, thus allowing them to actually have area denial properties and giving enemies a reason to avoid them. 2. Grant indiscriminate shock the ability to block projectiles similarly to Dabi's quirk, give Kaminari at least a bit of super armor while using it, and increase the dmg. 3. Rework the special move a bit Personally if I were to rework the special, I would double the duration, allow kaminari to stop and start the special move at any percent, and while the special move is active, grant kaminari increased dmg + speed alongside the effect it has currently (but get rid of the fact that the current effect sets the percent to 0% when used).
Not really, kaminari's special takes such a long time before it actually decides to stun the enemy that most melee characters will only get stunned by it after they're done combo'ing you. Its honestly one of if not THE weakest special in the game.
@@-Ozone-lol Right? Tenya Iida would like a word. The beta quirk knocks you down with every hit, so Kaminari's special does basically nothing to stop him and wastes all that special action time.
Here's a few tips. He's my main. Power up the stun dash to level 4 and then do the lighting bolt to level 4. Then max out the stun dash since thats his main attack for me personally then the lightning bolt. I don't use the lightning dome alot because it leaves you open but that can come in handy for endgame. So it's optional when choosing between that and the lightning bolt. Your preference. Also another advantage of the lightning bolt is that it won't knock them to the ground so while they are stunned you and your "helpful" team mates if you get some can bombard them with projectile shots. My main problem enemy characters for him in a 1v1 is Tsuyu,Momo and Eijiro. Tenya not that much since if you use his special ability and he hits you, you can get good damage on him. That's all i can say but he lacks mobility so carry Rapid ability cards always
I play Iida and kaminari is a good matchup for me. If I see you have your stun up I will just hit you with my beta for the knockdown so it doesn't matter if you stun me. But that's not really a fair comparison because kaminari sucks 1v1 anyway. His whole purpose is to play with his team setting up electro walls and when he engages his job is to gamma stun > special stun so that your team can focus someone down and kill them. He can lock someone down for like 5 seconds. No one can survive that. But he works even better with teammates that have armor and CC so that your enemies don't have counter play to save their teammate you are focusing. For example Shigaraki has armor on his grab so it's better to have him finish the combo allowing kaminari to back away while shooting after stunning.
@@ickyfist Not quite. In a 1v1 lets say start game. Denki will always get the first hit unless its Momo or Eijiro if you do the stun dash. I mentioned Tsuyu because since he's range and aim assist aren't that good she can literally make circles on him. Now I have found one solution and that is the lightning dome. Thing is I've never really felt that it does enough damage for leaving him so vulnerable so long. It's not worth it but Tsuyu can be a issue in the building areas. About Tenya well I haven't come across a 1v1 with him as much as the 3 I mentioned so I don't have much to say about him. My friends are always dealing with characters who could win against Denki like Ochaco,Shigaraki and Mt Lady. So i never really get to see how I can react to fighting them.
@@Chippy247 Trying to think who he should beat in a 1v1 at the start. Who do you think he is really good against in that way? Characters like bakugo and todoroki outrange you and have more mobility so they can just run away and shoot you. Most melee characters have armor moves and will just overpower him. He can only beat Tsuyu if he's standing next to her on round start and spams gamma but that requires her to play wrong. I'm surprised you say ochaco beats him because she is the only one I can think of NOT being able to win 1v1 at the start. His gamma will hit her before her level 1 beta will hit him even if she has it going first. He even loses to Dabi point blank because he can set a trap before denki's gamma even close range. Even Kendo can shield before he does gamma and from there he has nothing to beat her with.
Honestly,kaminari is ok,but I think he deserves a buff on the dome,he should be armored when he uses it,because characters that have armored moves generally just ignore the dome and knock him down The best example for this is kirishima. Really,I lost count of how many kaminaris I knocked out just from punching them while they use the dome, sometimes not even punching, just using any other skill
get both, if you get him with a ticket by them time momo is available to get with tickets you should have enough hero souls to have another ticket to get her with if you keep trying to roll for her and get unlcuyk
Personally I think Momo is better. The shield spam not only does good damage, but also disrupts the battlefield. You can follow up the shield knockdown by running up close and spamming Alpha quirk. If you were on my team, I'd rather you be a Momo than a Kaminari any day.
Gotta disagree as a Kaminari main 0:28 one of his biggest weaknesses is his mobility. He doesn’t have enough range to make up for his lack of mobility or enough mobility to make up for his lack of range. He’s literally a support character despite being a strike character.
This. I like playing him but he feels like a budget Todoroki since he heavily relies on connecting his gamma ability to do anything. The range also is so short you can't use it to escape and have to play aggressively to get value. Definitely a risky and rewarding character but needs some changes imo he's still a mid tier or lower character
I’ve never met a good Denki player so far i feel like his beta quirk leaves him really vulnerable as that’s when I get the most damage on him and His Alpha quirk is easily outranged and setting up a trap with it is difficult
His Y ability is definitely more useful then his B, B is a decent AoE but if your opponents have half a brain shooting him outside the sphere is an easy counter play, Y into anything gets your more damage for sure
Well akshuallyyyyyy Just kidding, but his alpha quirk is actually very important because once you stun someone, you can almost instakill them with it. The dome, on the other hand, takes multiple hits to KO (albeit in a nice AoE) and leaves you vulnerable to ranged shots or to a Tenya or shield charging Momo who just don't care about your dome since they'll stagger you out of it as soon as they hit you.
Your not using him right you should max level a then y and last b you want to stun enemies with y and blast them with a it’s one of the strongest strategies in the game it can get you crazy kills and with a decent team you can win any match
The most underrated is kendo she's good players over look her and the others just have they dislikes about tbh in my opinion kendo is so good love her ❤
Denki is sooo anoying, one wrong move and you're stuned making characters like Tomura perfect combo (sadly they're both red characters so it's not as broken)
Denki is not underrated…his kit is just okay. his Beta quirk leaves him completely immobile and vulnerable to long range attacks. gamma into beta is actually not an optimal combo either. i find to to Beta into Alpha as you’ll get more bang for your buck. but tbh as a strike character, there is just other characters that deal more damage faster. he feels like more of a support striker
no he is underrated but what separates him from the other strikers minus shigaraki is that he has no mobility and he cant solo a team by himself as easily, he works best when you have a competent team to back you up. in team group battles gamma to beta is very optimal as it hits around you and everyone in ur vicinity so nobody can assist the enemy you targeted. It only backfires if you get greedy and hold it for too long because then the knockback effect wont occur and people can just hit you out of it physically. Not only that but at high levels you can spam the beta move which destroys healthbars and guards. He isnt bad by any means but he actually takes skill to play vs someone like todoroki or bakugo
Shhhhh, no we don't. P.S. It's actually incredibly easy to dodge once you get the hang of it. Also it isn't indestructible. There are a few characters who can break it instantly (Ibarra is one, Kirishima is another), and I'm pretty sure enough damage will break the shield and end it early. Probably need some more testing for that though.
