I’m glad that people have seen how great his utility is now, but I still get a bit upset when thinking my back to how much doomposting there was about Baizhu and how they kept comparing him to YaoYao and saying she was superior. Don’t get me wrong YaoYao is amazing, but I just found it to be kinda unfair to compare a 4 star and a 5 star, especially when Baizhu offers more than just healing at C0

I’ve never regretted getting baizhu, he’s such a good healer shielder and being dendro just makes him a constant team pick.

Oh yeah definitely agree- I accidentally got C2 Baizhu (trying to get Kaveh cons) and I honestly now use him in a lot of my dendro teams. He’s just useful!

I got Baizhu since 3.6 and I am so glad I did. This man makes all content so comfy to play through; Exploring, Domains, Spiral Abyss, you name it.

The fact that his dendro reaction buffs get ignored so often amazes me.

The only problem with his burst is THE ENERGY COST. God, it can be so annoying sometimes. But yeah, I more view him as a healer with 100% interruption resist, but I really like that about him.

Baizhu was an early guarantee for me - back then I didn't know wtf I was doing but he just popped up at like 40 pity Have NEVER regretted that man, he single handedly carried my 1st half of abyss (Scara hyperbloom, dont ask) until I got Alhaitham. He is one of my rare lvl 90 characters with 8/8/8 talents. Babygirl. Debating going for his weapon but S4 Amber is honestly carrying him enough HEH

I had promised myself I would pull Baizhu when he first released because he was in the game for so long without being playable. And tbh I think he's a lot of fun to play haha.

I use Nahida, Ei, Baizhu and Furina in Abyss and let me tell you that it's so OP. Everyone has infinite uptime, no need to aim and hyperbloom SHREDS all my opponents 😂

as a baizhu defender, i will say his burst feels Awkward sometimes since his dendro application is very single-target and he can get staggered betweeen shield generations, which makes him feel a bit lackluster, especially into multihit enemies like the eremites

Baizhu a4 is such a placebo buff. I wish it actually did things, but it's just another emm buff which makes it additive with EM and not multiplicative. I love the gameplay design of tiny sheilds that are there not to absorb damage, they're about as strong as 0 EM crystalize sheilds, but are instead just creative poise buffs. His burst cost is a nightmare though. Glued to my r5 fav codex unfortunately for that reason.

I just wish the shield was a bit stronger even if it just tanked one heavy hit.

I skipped Furina for Baizhu last time and I regret nothing. Went from using Zhongli on all my teams to using Baizhu. Having to actually dodge attacks has been such an experience compared to the endless m1 spam with Zhongli (we still love our Geo Lord though 🍷).

I think a big factor to that is people often describing him as a shielder with a really bad shield and then not really following up with any positives right after. Naturally, curious newcomers will immediately pass him off if that's going to be their first impression of him.

Im guessing him, Neuvillete, Nahida and Ei are a Hyperbloom team that will shread everyone

ngl as much as i love Baizhu and I find him to be underrated, I find his off field dendro app to be pretty awkward or sometimes just bad unless if it's in ST and his buffing is pretty eh outside of Aggravate since less dendro is better for that team.

Me who doesn't skip a banner, pull as long as there is 160. Too bad I'm still on 23 pity right now.

I have him for so long and he's the reason i skipped nahida because he's sufficient for everything so i can invest in new characters.

His original banner was when I first started playing, and he was the one I was trying to pull for (mostly because I wanted a healer that wouldn't freeze me, and also, I love snakes... and the color green). I'm hoping I'll have enough to try to pull for him and re-save for Furina. TT_TT

He's my most used healer because his kit (both skill and burst) doesn't need him to be onfield to work. Just press and swap. Kokomi has the limitations of distance (skill) and field time (burst) to heal. Jean and Xianyun are both reliant on their bursts only to heal. Not with Baizhu. He's the most versatile, in my opinion, as a healer.

I think a huge thing people forget is that Baizhu allows you to run so many different hypercarries in hyperbloom team, if you dont have other building blocks for a good dendro team, in my personal case, Wanderer, Baizhu, Xingqiu and Raiden. It literally destroys everything. And NO ONE else can do what he does for teams like that

Never regretted pulling for him, And he's honestly great for cyno. Helps him a bit with having at least some dendro application with his long ass burst

I’ve slowly come to appreciate Baizhu and he’s now one of my favourite supports. When paired with Furina he’s even better

C6d Baizhu his first run and have gained him since getting him. YaoYao can heal sure, but she can't shield. She doesn't have team wide healing or healing that focuses on the character, character has to go to the feeling. Interruption resistance, decent dendro app and buffs Dendro reactions. He's a solid Nahida substitute too.

I have him since his 1st banner. Love how his skill and ult heals just like Barbara is❤ I tried to pull for Furina's signature weapon but got his signature weapon in a back to back loss but still a win for me.

I always wondered why everyone was saying that he was really bad, so I pulled for him. The only problem is that his damage is way too weak I think they could’ve at made that his damage is based off hp and attack (so that’s it’s not too strong) since he is a limited banner healer.

Got C1 in his original banner, and he's been indispensable since. Cannot forget I got laughed at for pulling him instead of Ganyu. Esp because I wanted a healer and I hate charged atk gameplay

Baizhu is one of my favourite characters in the game and his kit is just cool. Nahida likers will be yappers but we Baizhu fans just think he's cool

For the record, he has the worst shields in the game and because they are the source of his 'interrupttion resistanance' it's bad too. Blocking interruption only once per 2.5 second is close to nothing. There's not other character in the game with IR as bad his. His buff is weak, it's equal to approx 130 em for bloom and 115 for aggaravate/quicken. It doesn't work in every comp either. His most popular comp, Neuvi Kazuha and Furina, doesn't benefit from the buff at all. Comfortable healing but nothing else. Worst weapon in the game and utterly useless second talent unless you use dps build. Hoyo didnt give a damn when making him. Didn't even care to adjust duration of his burst accurately.

I usually prefer alhaitham paired with furina alongside raiden shogun and an ER built jean. Furnia and raiden shogun are my sub DPS, Alhaitham is my main dps (his damage combined with elemental reactions of dendro, hydro and electro completely shred enemies and bosses) and jean is my healer. I have so much ER on jean that i can constantly spam her burst. I run skyward blade on her alongside having 1 ER artifact and the rest are attack based. I think baizhu is a bit too slow to gain enough efficiency as a healer, plus i wouldn't have a reliable DPS like alhaitham to completely shred everything.

Ah, Baizhu. I remember hating him because he seemed like a scummy doctor first time Traveler met him during the Liyue Archon Quest but I have gained a new appreciation for him after doing his story quest. Changsheng is a mood and it’s nice to see that more people are growing on him and that he didn’t have to suffer through Kokomi syndrome
