With all the comparisons to Drew Brees and how he played at the same school as Derek Carr: i so want the saints to take Haener at some point in the draft Edit: LMFAO that aged well

He would look really good if he went to the saints or to the broncos

If anyone ever watched Haener play, he was an absolute DAWG at Fresno St. His highlight reel is beautiful, but he also does the little things right as well. He was always outsmarting defenses, moving around in the pocket and delivering strikes. I think the Rams or Raiders get him in day 2.

When your down in a game and no hope, Tom brady had that grit and leadership that you never seen and it won him a lot of games. Jake haner has that same ability. I am a panthers fan and I beleive haner will be the best qb in 5 years

Something not mentioned in the video but his coach was Jeff Tedford. Jeff is QB Groomer. Some of the QBs he helped get in the league include Trent Dilfer, Akili Smith, Joey Harrington, Kyle Boller, and Aaron Rodgers. I think its safe to say he might of learned a thing or two from him.

His Mom Julie Haener is a well known News Anchor in the Bay Area at KTVU Channel 2 which is the Fox affiliate in the Bay Area

This guy is a stud. I'm a Wyoming fan so I got to see this guy play he's pretty good in my opinion definitely underrated I could see him as a Detroit Lion sitting behind Goff for a year or two would be good for him.

Hard throws are hard to catch...Jake has a high completion rate.

I think he might be a future quarterback for the saints!

Haener will still be playing in 10 years while all the other top QB'S in the draft will be no where in sight!

Seems like a guy Sean Payton would want to snap up. He did pretty well with a guy about the same size whose arm was "average". (Also, I think being able to heave a ball 70 yards is NOT the be-all, end-all of a QB...you just don't need to do that very often in a game)

Would love to see him go to Atlanta late day 2 or something. They actually have Heinicke on their roster and could use Haener as a long term backup option if Ridder pans out or an alternative route if he turns out to develop better than Ridder does (similarly to a Trey Lance/Brock Purdy situation). Would be about time for them to get really lucky on one of their picks. That being said, I am confident in Ridder, so like I said, Haener backing up for him would still be sick.

HAENER TO THE RAMS LETS GO. This kid is seriously pro ready. He can play under center, he naturally makes adjustments at the line of scrimmage, amazing pocket presence and ability to make multiple reads under pressure. His game against UCLA was one of the greatest QB performances I’ve ever seen in my life. If he can put on some weight and improve his deep ball he’s gonna be a fucking FORCE.

Carr's contract is structured so that he will either be released after 2 years or have it restructured. If Haener really develops, Saints just might let Carr go for the cheaper/younger option.

I hate listening to this stuff. Plays reckless? so then stand there and get hammered? He stays in pocket when needed. He can move very well getting outside pocket designed or not. He is extremely smart and a natural leader. was montana big or fast? he will need the right O coordinator to actually eveluate his strengths and actually apply them.
