definitely soul of cinder, hes my favorite boss ever but he always gets overshadowed by the twin princes's or Gael. Also I appreciate that Elemer and Champion Gundyr are on the list, Elemer is one of my favorite Elden Ring bosses, and Champion Gundyr is my 2nd favorite DS3 boss
Elemer the Briar is one of my favourite fights. Champion Gundyr is one of my favourites all time, the moveset makes it feel so good, like an actual being that wants to kill you, not just a program with a few moves
We never see an actual dragon use frozen lightning in Elden Ring. My theory is that rozen lightning is a one-of-a-kind ability and somehow the Nox manages to capture the one dragon that could use it and the Dragonkin soldiers are "built" using the essences of said dragon, which is why they can use frozen lightning as well. The same goes to the dragonscale blade and halberd
Gundyr is so good man. It was my first Souls game and he destroyed me nonstop. I wanted to quit, but since i paid for the game, i wanted to at least get past him. Then after beating him, it opened a part of my brain i never thought I'd ever experience. And when i faced Champion Gundyr, i destroyed him first try. It showed me how far I'd come
It is a great touch that you included the downsides of these bossfights, after all, there is a reason they are underrated. That being said I would also include Old Demon King, he isn't really underrated but I rarely see people talk about him.
@@xd-px5ne even then, the ruins are just there to explore without any NPC quests relating to it. Putting ODK somewhat far away from the rest of the ruins is also a weird choice
The atmosphere and arena for the Old Demon King rule. It's like you found a path to hell to battle the last demon, plus it's sad as hell towards the end of the fight.
I really liked the flame lurker in demon souls. Most of the bosses in demon souls are just gimmicks but the flame lurker was the first boss that really tested your skill.
Now that you mention it, I hope we get to see an amped up version of the dragonkin soldiers or even the creatures sitting in the throne in their room for the DLC. I loved that fight so much and if his health bar was bigger, more people would agree
Flexile sentry i think is a very nice skill check early on in ds2 the room filling with water as you fight putting you on a timer to roll normally really adds something you dont see in 99% of souls fights. Maybe not the most memorable fight but a cool claustrophobic race to kill
Actually, that's something I haven't thought about. That sounds like a great idea. That would get rid of so many of ds2's problems. Like, just port ds2's world and enemies into Elden Ring. Wonder how that would turn out to be.
I agree soo much with Corrupted Monk. Couple more to.add - - Dragonslayer Armour, DS3 - Sinh the Slumbering Dragon, DS2 - The Lost Sinner, DS2 - Martyr Logarius, BB
Ruin Sentinels are the best way to do a gank fight. Also, Mirror Knight has one of the best arenas in all the Souls games. As for AC6, include it in the Souls list just to trigger the purists 😂
Big agree with so many of these picks. I'll throw in some more for each game: DS1: Gaping Dragon DS2: Demon of Song DS3: Vordt Sekiro: Gyoubu Elden Ring: Leonine Misbegotten
the fact that theres no demon prince on this list is just great. i can still live in my bubble thinking of this fight as the most fun fight in all of DS3 and no one bothers.
if you add ac6 to the list then you'll have to add all the rest of the armored core series. See how that doesn't make sense anymore? great video though
I havent gotten around to finishing Sekiro yet (I got up to Isshin and stop playing... I know, i know), but are you able to play as other characters in NG+ or is it a mod?
only problem I had was the point of Elemer of the Briar being a good fight because he's not a normal enemy with a glorified health bar, which is partly true. Sadly there are 4 others of him (which from what I have read seems to be the same guy in Shaded Citadel) but they are very hidden, I do agree that he is over hated, he's just a little too aggressive for newer players so he destroys them so hard that they just come back later overleveled, and then stomp him and brush him off as a bad boss
Elden Ring has the worst duo fights of all time. Both of those crucible knights in a small arena together are a nightmare for any high level character.
I would say lady butterfly is not underrated she's the first real test of your skill in sekiro. Lets you know that this isn't your average souls game. Pretty memorable fight that is unfortunately a bit overshadowed when you do the secret fight cause it's the same thing on steroids
Don't agree with Ruin Sentinels, fought them again recently and it was just a pain in the ass and even when I got the kill it was just a boring turtle fest because after the first one, the other 2 are both so aggressive and don't give much opening or will both attack at once. Surprisingly I actually found the gargoyle ganksquad a lot easier because of their UI, just also super boring and slow. My Underrated bosses would be iron golem from DS1 and dragonslayer armor from DS3. I love golem's arena and the giant you can kill to make things easier as well as his interactions with Tarkus if you summon him. Dragonslayer armor is also just really cool with a neat gimmick with the butterflies and a cool looking arena with the eclipse looming above.
How is Darklurker underrated? You could argue DS2 is an underrated game, but among the folks who like DS2, Darklurker seems to be ranked up there with Sir Alonne and Fume Knight. Maybe I just hang out in different corners of the Internet or something lol
Corrupted Monk is so damn good but I have 2 problems. First: Her second phase really looses what makes it so scary once you realize you cak one shot it. And second: I dont know why the fake version has to be harder.
Royal Rat Authority is the most underrated boss, because he's the hardest boss in the history of Souls games. Malenia? Orphan? Pff, try facing Royal Rat Authority
