@@comicbookcountdown9252 Most of "money" creation is done by banks using fractional reserve lending: Loans created with debt to buy cars, real estate etc. We create the debt by taking on loans to receive the money NOW, and to pay it off with our future earnings. Low interest rates benefit the producers of our society that responsibly leverage their earning potential to buy assets on credit. Low interest rates also incentivizes reckless speculators that leverage debt to buy assets and that have not accounted for the business cycles where debt is cheap today, but may not be cheap in the near future (overleveraged). This is why speculators have been rewarded over savers. This is also why we have boom and busts where speculators rek the economy with their prolifigate borrowing.

I agree with the overall point and I'm not a big fan of the Federal Reserve but to be factual, Congress is the reason the dollar is being devalued and not the Fed. The Fed has no choice other than to pay for what Congress has already spent. They have to monetize the debt because Congress is spending more than they take in.

You are correct. There is no consequence for the elected officials to spend more of other people's money than they have. You are correct that there is no way the US pays off this debt. You are correct that Bitcoin is a solution. Where you are completely wrong is your assumption that eventually the US government will turn to Bitcoin to bail them out of the debt too

It's a TRICK... "they" actually believe that we are actually GROWING ourselves out-of-debt, every day. This Administration has signed on to a 10-year commitment, to fund Social Programs that require more money (debt) than we can ever think to cover, with the result being that we simply Print more dollars to pay the bills! In just the last 4-years, we have burdened Americans with about 34% inflation... and we have covered current and future debt by printing money to cover this scandalous act. By the time the National Debt has doubled, from 2021, to something near $48t, we will have devalued the US dollar by about one-half (1/2)... So, the actual cost in US dollars, to repay the debt at the $48t level (using devalued dollars), will likely be less than the original cost (of just a few years ago) to repay the debt at the $24t level! DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY... LISTEN/WATCH WHAT THEY DO!!!

Yet it does matter who _gets_ into office. We may still have The Federal (not) Reserve (none) - yet we could also have a secure border, less wars, less war mongers, less spending on wars at home (the culture war) and abroad (Eastern European Border protection???) ... Yes the USD will inflate (or lose value) ... Yes, buy gold, sliver and BTC. Fold The Fed into the Treasury - make it and them accountable. Restore *The Republic!* - even if it would take 100 or 1,000 years.

Yeah BTC has been dumping in price for months though and just been trading sideways. I understand the principle behind it, but the whole crypto market is down a lot this year. Even with the halting and supply being lower the price just dumps and dumps. Hard to feel bullish when I was only in profit for a few weeks before it took a nosedive and hasn't recovered since. Just pray it turns around at some point this year.
