Why didnt you like SWS? Not here to argue just curious because it seems a lot of people are like meh when it comes to them from what i saw and i loved their music and while their last few albums i see why theyre not as liked, the new song was praised and i dont get why. They had a metalcore sound but their lyrics seemed to be more emotional so idk.

Brady Bigbear exactly! A bassist’s job is to help lay down groundwork for a song, while also not getting in the way of the guitarist, or the vocalist. The job is similar for drums.

Man, I just came across your video and I gotta say. I love the comedic aspect of this although it is so true. I do the same I make random pop punk and post hardcore songs with this methodology here it's pretty nice to put names to the technical aspects of the guitar that we approached. A lot of metalcore bands get labeled post hardcore for some reason I have yet to figure out. Metalcore is such a vague sub genre that it really should have its own clearly defined sub genre/micro genre labels.... and I think that’s why people come up with incorrect labels to define specific styles within it regularly.
