Death adders are incredible snakes. They are built like a typical viper with a heavy body, large triangular head, and moveable fangs. A typical viper in Australia. But Australia doesn't have any vipers. Is the death adder not a viper? Clint travels down under to the Australian Reptile Park to see these incredible snakes as well as an amazing assortment of other Australian animals in one of the most unforgettable days of his life!

Kangaroos are extremely soft furred, it’s relatively short fur, and kind of sticks up instead of laying flat, you might they’d feel bristly or a bit rough, but they’re not at all. Probably only of the best petting experiences you could have. I am lucky, I live in Australia, not all that far from a city and I regularly have kangaroos come into my yard, they’re easily frightened, but occasionally a couple will stick around for pats, they just love being patted, they just need to over come their fear of you enough.

I am a biologist and this reptile park is my favorite zoo in Australia. They love the animals so much and give so much care and attention to all their animals but especially reptiles and amphibians that might not get as much of a spotlight elsewhere. I've been multiple times and I love hearing about how much care and thought they put into the enrichment and social needs of their reptiles - like what kind of things their komodo likes to play with, and how their tortoises do really enjoy social contact with their humans....I did a behind the scenes tour for my birthday one year and got to meet their tegu and oh my gosh they really are just lizard puppies I love them. The whole place is full of love and joy and it just makes me so happy. It is one of my favorite places to visit ever. I am so glad you got to go, and I am delighted that you had such a good time! Clint, glad you were so excited about the wildlife in Australia. One correction needs to be made that is related to a very common mistake (see at about 11:30 in video). There are actually several species of placental mammals that are native to Australia. All of the megabat species (flying foxes) are placental mammals. They are natives. The grey-headed flying fox is very common in Sydney, and can be seen flying every night of the year. It is common to have them burst out of a tree along a walkway at night as one passes. They love figs, which are also and abundant tree in Sydney. www.google.com/search?q=gray-headed%20flying%20fox&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1-m

While you're in australia, do you still think that the thylacine is extinct, or could they still be alive?

Sadly, they’re gone. I wish we still had the them, I have a friend who has gone out with trail cams in hundreds of locations, reviewed hundreds of thousands of hours of footage, none to be seen. Extinction is a bitch.

Great overview! The background "music" in the video was too loud and continued even while someone was narrating. Apparently no one reviewed the video before release. The content of this video really did NOT require the use of "music" for any reason.

I love the enthusiasm and excitement you show in abundance Clint! I live in Tasmania, and although we saw Devils often decades ago, I haven’t seen a wild one for a long time due to the facial tumour disease. I believe they are slowly coming back so hopefully they’ll be a common sight eventually once again. We love them here, and they’re even known as a farmer’s friend by cleaning up carcasses. We have some pretty cool(literally) reptiles here too… lots of skinks living on top of an often snow covered Kunanyi/Mt Wellington for example!
