I'm 65 and so much of this brings back so many memories. I Love Vintage Christmas, and collect it every chance I get. I have one of those large Santa faces I bought for $5 at a thrift store. I love him. He's in my Coca-Cola diner where I keep a tree up all year. I love putting vintage in that room. I have one of those silver trees loaded with gingerbread ornaments that sit on an old wood stove, in my dining room. Brings back memories of my sweet Mama. I'm gonna check out her Etsy page...so much here I love. I could go here every day. Gosh, it's beautiful. Thank you for this video. I love to see someone who appreciates vintage as much as I do. Have a very Merry Christmas! God Bless.
Wow! What a fantastic tour! So much of my childhood flashed before my eyes. Modern day Christmas decorations cannot compare to these vintage goodies. Thanks for sharing!
I’m 70 and inherited a few Xmas items from our grandparents and parents and saw quite a few glass ornaments, flocked deer and much more. The foil cone ornaments I bought early in my marriage (married in 1972) so they are vintage now. Wow it’s really hard to believe that all items we grew up with are in demand from so many of the younger generations…love it😊
So nostalgic! There were several items that we had in our home at Christmas displayed there. The snowman made from ball shapes (I think it was actually paper mache) really brought back memories. We had the exact same one/style. Thank you for sharing this! Merry Christmas!🎅🎁🎄
Thank you for this trip down memory lane. I saw several things from my childhood. She has an amazing collection. It was a fun few minutes. Can't wait to see what you purchased. Merry Christmas to you and yours and may 2022 bring many blessings.
Omg, the amount of vintage Christmas decor here is staggering and oh so beautiful. I live in WI, not too far away, I'm going to definitely visit this shop! I love so many things here but the tinsel trees remind me of my childhood. We had one my Mother decorated with the satin ornaments and we had a color wheel that illuminated the tree with different colors. Reminds me so much of my 1960's childhood Christmas decor. Thanks for sharing, Merry Christmas eveyone! ❤
Its summer in july so it seems ridiculous to watch a Christmas video so if you think I'm going to sit here for an hour and a half and watch video about Christmas then you're absolutely right LOL
I love this store you shared with us!!! I see so many different things from when I was a child! That first large Santa for $100 was awesome! Was that a Rushton Santa? My grandparents had a large Rushton Santa that we got to play with and sit on his lap when we were kids! I miss those days. I don’t know what happened to him. He’s been gone for a long time now😢 thank you for taking us along with you! Merry Christmas everyone!
What a wonderful store, she truly has an awesome collection! Out of time this year, but will definitely walk through her shop next season. Thank you so much for taking us along! Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!
I am actually in the process of selling many of my vintage pieces since I am downsizing. Hard to let items go but I remind myself that others are so excited to find the right piece that they love and appreciate. One thing I can not let go of is a huge 2x3 ft Santa face that I got for $5 - never have seen one like it on any site - has a break in the plastic but I love hanging him up and seeing him daily.
This looks like a fantastic place. I love antiques, and I love Christmas. It would be so much fun exploring there. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful Christmas.
Born in 1950...it's fun to hear the things I experienced as a child referred to as vintage 😏 the glass balls of beautiful colors are what we used on our tree ...my dad even had some older ones in the shapes of musical instruments...my son and his wife have these now along with the wooden and pewter ornaments that I collected when he was growing up from the late 70's to the late 90's...have a blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas 🎄😉🎅
what a great video, thank you. I used to buy all the modern decor but as i get older I've started buying vintage not only for Christmas but throughout the year decor. It definitely means more and takes you back to your childhood. I have watched so many Christmas tours with White everything. I just feel it shouts no imagination and catalogue home shots. I could live in that Christmas village haha. Thanks again for sharing.
My favorite things are definity the Snowman paper mache candy dish and there was a Advent calender with the candles, both kf which are from my childhood. I have a small collection of the old Angel Chimes which I didn't see here. Mine are solid brass, not plated. Hobby Lobby sells wedding candles that fit the holders too! Thanks again for the beautiful video. 🙂
(This is Tom, not Sandra.) Great video!! Thanks for posting all of these great yesteryear Christmas collectibles!! I really only like early Christmas collectibles...1940's thru to the 1960's!!! Anything after the late 60's.....forget it!!!!! They made so much neat stuff during those 3 decades, IMO. Thank You for posting this great tour through your Antique Store!!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours!!!!
WOW 🤯 doesn't even do it 😂.... I love this store and the mass vintage Christmas... I can look at it forever... Thank you for sharing. 🎄 Merry Christmas 🎄
Pretty cool 😎 I collect the little cardboard houses and have never seen the ones she has with scalloped edges along the roof to look like snow ❄️ or icicles ❤️🎄
I have 15 boxes of the old ornaments. I have a 1948 one when my parents got married! I would but them all. I love the ornaments the best! Thanks for sharing!
What a beautiful store and tour I’m all about vintage Christmas I did not know why I love pink Christmas trees , just memories from my childhood, be blessed ❤❤❤❤
I am 66 year's old and I saw a Santa Clause piggy bank, in fact I saw two of them. I wish I knew how much they are. I guess I could get a hold of the owner. Anway, I have one of the Santa Clause piggy bank's from my childhood. Those old vintage ornaments remind me of childhood. I had all of my mom's ornaments until my kid's were born and I bought new non breakable ones. What was I thinking? I wish I had of put some of the up in the closet or something.
i have vintage christmas decrations i collect, over 40 years now, every year find some more, its wonderful to put them on display at christmas time, people who visit love them.
At 13:24, to the right, is a garland of plastic candy. Only 2 weeks ago, I found this same garland hanging in a florist shop in Springfield, MO. My heart leapt because I had not thought of this garland since I was a small child and had to have it to add to my Christmas decor. It is one of the very few Christmas decorations that I recall our family having.
At the 12:50 spot with the Santa holding a gold color tree with little red ornaments, l have one those. My mother bought it back in the early 70s. She threw it in the trash and I rescued it. They don't make decorations like those anymore. The times when decorations were made in the USA, Japan, Germany and Poland. The today's decorations look cheap and made in China.
First time watching and this video did not disappoint. What a great shoppe with so many great pieces inside. Thank you for filming this for us and have a very merry Christmas 🎅🏼
I hate when Christmas is over and have to extend the season by watching Christmas decor videos. My father died last year and my Step mother sent my sister some small paper houses and church which are old Christmas decorations of my grandparents. Your video seems to show similar decorations. Do you know anything about these?
I too love vintage Christmas goodies. I have one vintage Bottle brush tree that I picked up at an estate sale. I always look for Christmas at estate sales. Great place to add to your collections.
Just subscribed to your channel. Love this video! Love vintage Christmas, it's the only way I decorate now. Thanks for sharing this store -- it's just amazing!! Hi from Canada! 🇨🇦
Awesome tour!!! Loved all the vintage christmas...I had a tinsel tree growing up with a lamp that sat on the floor, and turn the color wheel which was green, gold, dark blue, and red turned and made the colors shine through on the tinsel...Loved the porch with the old wagon and Santa's...Thank you as well as The Purple Ottoman for letting us tour her store...She has it all, loved it all....Have a "Blessed and very Merry Christmas " Season, to the both of you ladies, and your families😊❤🎄😊❤🎄😊❤🎄😊🎄
Amazing inventory! My local antique stores have zip Christmas..not even reproduction let along vintage. I love vintage Christmas and am disappointed every year, thinking this is the year I'll find something. Sure wish I had a store like this near me.
Oh my those Brachs Chocolate boxes! One of the things my parents had every Christmas was a box of Brachs chocolates. Early afternoon on Christmas Eve my dad would open the box and we would enjoy them along with nuts in the shells. I lost my dad in the spring of 2001 and he,I’m in the fall of 2006, so these boxes brought back such happy Christmas memories for me. Merry Christmas Nicole to you and your family!
Neat store! I’m curious - it seems like a large portion (if not all) of the store is Christmas decor. At the end of the season, does she take down her holiday inventory and replace it with other vintage items, or is her store exclusivity a Christmas shop throughout the entire year? ~ Linda
It's only Christmas during this time of year... her regular shop inventory is amazing too! I toured her store in the summer too, I'll send you the link to that video.
WOW!!! What a walk down Memory Lane” this video was!!!☺️☺️☺️ I saw several items that my Mom had ad I was growing up❤️❤️❤️ I would love to go in person snd look at all of the wonderful items she has!!! Thank you for sharing this shop😍😍😍😍😍
What a treat to stumble upon your video. I'm stuck in the house with a broken ankle and Covid and was feeling a bit down. Seeing these wonderful items brought back so many great memories and made me smile. Thank you!
Sorry no one answered you before now, but in the description it says Bethalto is in Illinois, so yes, the United States. Greetings from Toronto, Ontario, Canada! Hope you make it there, some day! 👋🤶
Right off the at I saw a striped hand towel with Santa's face on it and said "I have that" !! It was my Moms and the other side has a snowman. It is threadbare now, but loved. Great store. TFS and Merry Christmas to you and yours.😊😊
Oh my gosh! So many items from my childhood! I'll have to watch a few times and jot down a list. Saw things I'd love to have, who didn't? LOL!😜 Thank you for sharing! It was a great gift to us viewers!❤🎅🌲
I saw a number of things that looked familiar. ❤️ I have a vintage stocking and two other Christmas decorations from my childhood and plan to put them in a shadow box.
