. Say i have a Stanley TR45, same as one in video. Issue having is what size staples to use i bought some but its to snall in width or to long in width ? Specific would be a great help. Please?

Thank you for the review! I found your post while researching the best multi-purpose manual stapler. I really want to like the DeWalt DWHTTR510, but I have seen SO many credible negative reviews that I feel like I would be a fool to spend any money on it. Your review is quite positive regarding the DeWalt, but it is a few years old now. Have you researched this subject anymore lately? Do you still consider DeWalt the best in this category? Or is there a new champion?

I still use the DeWalt and the others. I haven't done any recent research haven't needed a new stapler yet. All the ones in my video still work great no issues. But I will look into updating the video here later this year.

Me too. I need a staple gun for crafts projects and really prefer one that could do brad nails. I was going to buy the dewalt cuz it's one of the most expensive ones Home depo had, but has like 45% negative reviews.. Amazon has way cheaper, but returning things can be a pain (& costly depending on the seller) . Dewalt also has a $20 staple gun and lots of complaints abt finding the staples

I’m having trouble loading 9/16 staples... it’s like they won’t fit inside the dewalt. I’m looking for a heavy duty staple for chicken wire and such. Any suggestions?

You may have buy a different staple gun. I can't think of anything , might have to use a different type of staples.

Even though it lists it, I've been reading reviews and it seems that the Arrow T50 staples jam or misfire with the DeWalt and that the propriety staples work better. Any experience with that?

No jams with any of the guns in my video. Used all of them for long periods of fixing up stuff or diy.

after some abuse they all would jam and such., pop had an old steel one from arrow i think that lasted longer then i've been alive. im 27 btw

Every staple gun I've had didn't feed properly. I Just smashed my latest one for not working. I think it was a stanley heavy duty.

The number one variable for comparing these guns for most people is POWER. Your review did not address that at all! With that soft wood & the short staples you used, you could obviously get away with ANY staple gun. If you had used a few woods (including HARD woods, it would have been a useful video.

+Larry B it was a general review most people I would say use staple gun for light duty applications. Plus in general hard would is expensive, plus most people are using a staple gun to put up plastic, and other light materials. Staple guns power also depends on length of staples, and most staples don't go into hard woods easily they bend.

If you are using it for light duty, like tacking plastic to soft wood, etc, then you can buy the absolute cheapest and you will be happy. The ONLY differences in these things happen when you move into tougher jobs...that's when they don't fully penetrate, or they jam.
