FILM DESCRIPTION:
Nick Morton is a soldier of fortune who plunders ancient sites for timeless artifacts and sells them to the highest bidder. When Nick and his partner come under attack in the Middle East, the ensuing battle accidentally unearths Ahmanet, a betrayed Egyptian princess who was entombed under the desert for thousands of years. With her powers constantly evolving, Morton must now stop the resurrected monster as she embarks on a furious rampage through the streets of London.

Plus, surface area. He’s far smaller and more streamlined, especially when crouched. The bus is basically a big metal kite. When the glass broke, the bus slowed right down because more of the wind could pass through it.

Fun fact: this movie was supposed to start off like their own MCU that was gonna be called the Dark universe where they would have movies with classic universal movie monsters like Dracula, Wolf man, Frankenstein, The invisible man, the creature from the black lagoon, etc. But they put too much effort into their project for the Dark Universe it made them forget about the actual movie.

Sofia Boutella was awesome as Ahmanet just like how Luke Evans was awesome as Dracula in Dracula Untold. Universal should have gone for either Jason Ritter, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Paulo Costanzo, Diego Luna, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Matthew Lawrence, Scott Mescudi, Rider Strong, or Justin Long as Nick Morton instead of that circus midget Tom Cruise. Because why start a franchise with a circus midget pushing 60 and also Tom Cruise was THE Problem because he wrecked The Mummy with his ego by making it all about him which I am not surprised at. Because R. Lee Ermey even said that Tom Cruise's ego destroyed Stanley Kubrick's last film Eyes Wide Shut. One of those 10 actors would of had great chemistry with Annabelle Wallis being how they where born between 1978 to 1984 making them close to age with her and chemistry was why Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz did so well because they are close to age. Also if they had gotten one of those 10, you wouldn't have heard bring back Brendan Fraser as much and The Mummy would have done well. Because think about this did you hear people tell Columbia and Disney to bring back either Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire back as Spider-Man when Tom Holland got the role in Captain America Civil War for The MCU, not that much and why. Because Tom Holland doesn't have any baggage or is pushing 60 like Tom Cruise.

I feel like this movie could have worked better if they had just focused more on the monster itself and just gave a hint of the secret organization at the end. Hell, use a different smaller monster so it wouldn't be picked up on their radar immediately. Start small then work your way up to make it big. But overall, I do love this scene.

Tom Cruise was the problem and the film should have focused on Sofia Boutella, but Cruise like the selfish piece of shit that he is screwed her over by shortening her role just to beef up his lame ass role. The Mummy wasn't the first film that was tainted by Tom Cruise, according to actor R. Lee Ermey, Cruise did that with Eyes Wide Shut when he and his then wife Nicole Kidman were having their way with Stanley Kubrick. Ermey told interviewers that Kubrick told him that he thought that the critics would crucify him because Cruise and Kidman destroyed his film and turned it into a steaming pile of bullshit.

I love the this scene in movie. The first film where there was a powerful sandstorm in London starts from quartz sand. This scene is original than in other films in the sense that London is either flooded, or attacked, or simply thrown a bomb in the center.

This movie was a nightmare. But Sofia Boutella was great, her skills are really well employed by directors.

She was one strong character even without her powers just at the start of this scene she was capable of pouncing a man and straddling him down to the floor to subdue him with just her body no special power before using her death kiss on him most can’t subdue a larger foe like that with just their body

I wish I'd seen it in that environment, the negative reviews kept me away, so I finally saw it on video disc and like it

Chad Castagana same. I️ hadn’t watched it because of the bad reviews, but we ordered it on Friday the 13th and I️ enjoyed it and I️ enjoyed the story that came with it. It wasn’t the best movie ever, but it kept me entertained and I️ liked it.
