Or maybe he is just casual junkie, he was involved in friends death but unwillingly. He was beaten, maybe blackmailed (thats why he still doesnt talk, he will die in prison either way,) thats why ribs. The triple kill could be actual accident and all that drugs, chases and violence, friends death affected his decision to hide the bodies instead of calling police. With all of his history, friend missing and body in his backyard (which was stupid and again he could have been made to do it) he tried hiding their bodies

Police sketches often exaggerate features so that they stick in your mind better and you can have that immediate association. If the sketches looked "average" the chances someone would idenify a correct person based on the sketch would be really low. In this case. Her small lips and deep eyes stand out.

Slightly lighter sentence - 13-16 years, TO BE SERVED CONCURRENTLY

cop behavior makes way more sense when you reaize their job is totally tied to that of the District Attorney (or local equivalent). their priority is not to solve mysteries or right wrongs, it is to close cases and collect evidence that leads to cases being closed. any time this results in the truth coming to light is purely incidental, down to the whims of the cops and departments in question.

They also don't try to coerce confesions out of innocent people to avoid doing their jobs.

Misty was in on it. The dog was a gift from zeb to her and returned with the car. The aunt, misty, and the other kid westly are all tied through drugs. Maybe zeb did drugs maybe not but the guy who got arrested was just the hitman for the job. Misty is the caller Motive. Cocaine and girl drama.

Agreed it was 100% a red herring. Jason knew Zebb’s dirt with Misty and Wesley. When his pager went off that fateful night he saw an opportunity to strike and blame it on them. It’s likely he’d been planning it for a while. The witness drawing was a coincidence that unfortunately helped corroborate his plan of framing the couple. Perhaps he even got him to follow him further down the road, and said something like “were so close, may as well check it out while you’re already out here” and he followed along leading him to either Jason’s house or a secluded area.

I decided he was guilty from the very first setup. Two men go to buy a car _driving two separate cars?_ Then he claims to have sustained injuries that need quite a bit of force from a car crash when his car was fine? He obviously knew how to create red herrings and make up a convincing fake story (at least believable in his own mind). Looking at what he was trying to say, his version of events was: Missy’s boyfriend paged and threatened him. Missy and Zebb tried to run off together, with the lipstick and a new puppy. He wanted to say goodbye to his mother first. Missy’s now ex boyfriend found them before he got to the hospital doors and murdered Zebb. Missy stayed with the ex and lied because she was terrified. Jason is an addict and a serial killer, nothing can convince me otherwise. Poor Zebb and his poor mother. At least now she knows where her son went and can see justice for him prevail.

It’s been awhile since his disappearance (15 + years) and she’s probably progressed through the stages of grief at the time of the interview. As such, she’s likely already accepted his death, and her speech just reflects that.
