The Mysterious Fate of The Kids In Playtime Co. 

I’m still wondering where the heck the police was in this universe. If a hundred adults and a hundred children go missing, the police would be all over trying to investigate it.

I think some of the kids did legitimately get adopted, and that’s why with the one vhs, a person overlooking the adoptions was confused when they had to do “tests” on a kid even though he was chosen to be adopted. For her to be confused about this means this didn’t happen every time.

Well, it's actually pretty easy to tell where all the children were during the Hour of Joy. We know the schedule the children followed day per day (don't remember which chapter it was mentioned though), and it said 11.00-11.45 or so was their lunch time, and that all of the children gathered in the canteen, most likely supervised by toys and a couple employees. We also know the Hour of Joy started at exactly 11.01. Children didn't see anything, I guess. Especially if the canteen is located further underground: as far as I remember we don't have mentions of it under the light of artificial "sun" together with Home Sweet Home and School. No signs of built-in canteens either. That also answers the question about food. Canteens should have at least SOME amount of resources stocked up: maybe enough for several weeks, a month even. What happened after? Also pretty easy. They all got turned into toys. Prototype KNOWS how to do what doctors did, he says he observed and learned every day. Why did he do it if apparently he loves kids and cares about them? Also simple: he doesn't trust humans. At all. All he and other children ever got from them is violence and torture. What else would he do, release the kids into a human world? Nah

I honestly think the Prototype had the orphans raised up as an additional meat source over the years, as morbid as that sounds. Maybe he pulled a “they’ll grow up to be just like the scientists” card to get Catnap and the other toys on board, because I can’t see where the orphans would be if they were alive.

Eventually, Elliot Ludwig really did love kids. He was the reason why PlayCare was built. However, when his adopted daughter, which is also Poppy, passed away, he was really devastated about her death. Soon, the evil Scientists brought her back to life, which eventually made Poppy Playtime the Doll. Elliot Ludwig was indeed horrified of what they had done. So, they turned into what we know, "The Prototype". However, his love for children did not stop there. The Scientists continued with their experiments. Which is why there's Huggy Wuggy, Kissy Missy, Mommy Long Legs, CatNap, etc. In the Samuel Lee tape, there was a hint of screaming, which shows that Samuel knew he was going to be turned into a toy. These toys were all kids. Prototype must had been wondering: "These evil people haven't stopped their evil work!" So he probably made underground safety bunkers where he could keep the remaining children. But if no sign of life, this implies that he couldn't find food or water, which resulted in them dieing. CatNap probably also was a good person after all, because in the Ms. Delight tape, it showed CatNap was so scared she and her "sisters" would attack them. Which was why he locked the door. (This took me a few minutes to write, so like if this comment if you want😀)

In the 'Sleep Well' Music Video we see Catnap dispersing the red smoke in home sweet, I think that means that they put the children to sleep, killed off everyone else, and then maybe tidied up the bodies to keep the kids calm, then took them somewhere safe, maybe like the amusement park

I feel most of the orphans are dead or and this be even scarier. The Prototype turned them all into toys too.

One thing I found interesting is that when the player was hallucinating and the backwards message was playing it says “your presence was demanded 10 years ago” on the day of the hour of joy, and it also says “you missed the event, you missed the meeting, you missed the party”. Maybe playtime had a big event for its workers that required everyone to be in attendance. And in the hour of joy tape, the places with the most workers are the “Make a Friend” machine and the Game Station. Maybe the executives were gonna announce an expansion of some sort, and they divided the workers from the ones who knew and didn’t know about the experiments into the two places. Then the hour of joy happened and with only a few workers in security and maintenance around they were able to evacuate the kids quietly and they could attack

I believe Ludwig built emergency bunkers under the factory. He would have been a child during World War 1, but he would have been drafted for World War 2. It's quite possible that when he came back from the war that he commenced building massive emergency bunkers underneath the factory incase another war broke out. Tinned food such as fruit or veggies can last up to 30 years if they are in good condition so the children would have access to food and if it was built for the entire staff, a massive amount of space. There could also be a bunker under Ludwig's estate as well. Given that there is a platform in Playcare that bares Ludwigs/Poppy's giant flower symbol it would make sense to evacuate the children (and staff caring for them) quickly. We have to factor in that building a floor under the factory for Playcare and creating an orphanage would not have happened overnight, so the timeline could add up if he had an orphanage in mind and needed to build things step by step by step. The Game Station may have originally just been a play area that was modified by staff after his "death" in order to allow for the experimenting so it would make sense to build a play area first, then the home and teaching area later, followed by a bunker for the children and THEN open the orphanage. Sometimes things are built out of order and the fact that this special Poppy button has to be pushed as opposed to simply getting there using a grab pack seems significant. I could be waaaay off here, but it's the only thing I can think of. Have a great day/night all🙂

According to the Wiki, on Samuel Lee's last day, after Samuel's name is called(1:36), apparently screaming can be heard through all the cheering but it's so hard hear it. The screaming implies that Samuel likely knew he was chosen to be turned into a toy

I mean, with the prototype studying the doctors and learning their techniques, would it be farfetched to say that the orphans were turned into toys regardless to build an army for the prototype? What is the prototypes end game in that case? To escape to the surface with an army so that they can find refuge in a safe haven they have created for themselves? I think the motive for the prototype needs to be addressed.

If playtime co had this many children I’m sure the prototype did something to them. The only reason why i say that is because if Catnap works with the prototype and Catnap already told Ms.Delight that their fine. I’m sure he’s lying to keep her sane, and it’s all part of the plan. Hopefully we’ll find out more in the future. And obviously I’m sure maybe some of the kids died since there could have been hundreds or maybe even thousands.

My idea is that the toys slowly got the orphans out of playcare,One by one,So not to raise suspicions of why children were just popping out of nowhere and so the employees didn’t notice.I have a feeling the employees didn’t really care about the orphans.I mean,Why would you let a however foot tall cat with a permanent smiling face that distributes red smoke that gives them horrific nightmares and NOT WORRY?!

So according to me, in the end of chapter 2 we try to escape through the train but poppy dosen't let us. Maybe Catnap helped the orphans to escape from the same train by putting every toy in deep sleep through his red gas.

It's possible that the children have found a part of the factory with non-perishable food, or (this might be a bit disturbing) They were also forced to eat the bodies of the employees as well

My theory is that Samuel Lee is Dogday.

I think the Only Way the Children would be Hiding Playtime Co. is somewhere Deep in whatever Direction Chapter 4 is heading, either in the Lab or in that Amusement Park it was Teasing or something Darker we don’t Know about Yet.

I think the prototype raised the children as a source of food and then one of the kids discovered this and then escaped and met up with poppy and decided to defeat the prototype.I think this is the Ollie's backstory(and when the hour of joy happened he could have been a baby at that time and he could have taken food and water from the place where all the children food source is kept)

I think it'll be pretty cool if they made another game that centers around what happened after the hour of joy and how overtime it got worse and worse at the factory I think that would be pretty cool

We heard Richie complaining because the employees weren’t allowed to talk to the kids in chapter 1, I think that’s why most of the employees didn’t feel strange not seeing a kid in the hour of joy

I wonder if the children were happy at the orphanage. I actually feel like without the experiments it may have been an fun place "to the children" despite the horror of them never seeing sunlight. I also theorize the place was never full. Like number cribs was not equal to the number of infants and toddlers. I think they may have never had more then 30-60 kids at a time. And it sounds like there are way more kids than there actually were because of acoustics.

One theory: The children well most didn't make it due to either dying by accidentally getting killed or maybe the toys put them in a room so they would be next to die after the adults

My dumb theory is that maybe in chapter 4 maybe we'll get to fight and possibly defeat the prototype and maybe just maybe in the end we might get betrayed by poppy leading us into chapter 5 where we have to defeat poppy.

How about this idea! Catnap put all the children to sleep so that the toys could move them. If the Hour of Joy happened at night, when the children would be expected to be in their dorms, the employees may not have realized right away they were gone.

I believe the prototype is poppy herself Why::: 1) Ollie told us that there was an accident and the prototype gave up his freedom to save Him...(Or trapped in that awful case).. 2) Mommy Knew about this prototype thats why she held poppy hostage so she won't kill her 3)Where the heck poppy goes when we were facing catnap or mommy Probably equipping the giant hand to take away the dead and the victims to hide them I can be wrong but I feel that this could be Possible Do you agree???

Catnap kept the children away from the Miss Delights, and claimed that they were safe. I think the Prototype knew that the toys would eventually starve and eat the kids and is hoarding all of the corpses in the deepest levels where it resides). The Prototype masterminded the Hour of Joy and Catnap does whatever the P says, so Catnap took the children somewhere at the P's orders. So there are plans for the children. Prototype is the first recorded successfully sentient non-human in the game - who knows whether or not it cares about the children or has a sinister plan. I think all those barricades we see in the Home Sweet Home are from the adult workers trying to survive. The kids got out but who knows why.

I HAVE A theory the theory is that the toys are not evil, because why the hour of joy even happened was because the prototype wanted to keep the kids safe so if a kid went in to the factory the kid would be maybe safe but a adult would not be safe is that means that the toys are not evil.

Maybe they distributed orphans in small groups, although they would probs still be working on it

What I noticed is that you lose your hands in order by the toys so I think we will lose the purple hand first by the main boss and we will use the orange hand to stop or defeat the main boss but we lose the hand at the process but we get 2 new hands and maybe a new device to help us through chapter 4 I think we get these new stuff at the beginning oh and my guess of the color of our 2 new hands are going to be yellow and the other one is probably going to be pink both of these are probably going to have a mechanic same thing for the device that we might get in chapter 4 but I could be wrong.

Maybe the player is also an orphan who escaped but no toys can recognize him because they have lost their mind.. But only poppy can recognize him so she is manipulating him so that he can take revenge on the prototype who locked her for so many years??

AND nothing about the other toys, or even Poppy says that they kept the kids safe during the hour of Joy. Imo the prototype doesn't seem like the type to spare anyone simply to be fair, as he didn't decide to spare the innocent co workers who knew nothing about the hour of Joy. i mean we have a few options. 1: they were made a part of the prototype. 2: they were turned into toys to be seen in future chapters. 3: they are still alive to be used to make more people to eat. 3: they are alive and worship the prototype. 4: they escaped. 5: they are all dead due to starvation/dehydration/malnourishment.

In one of the chapters, it mentioned their schedule. And since the children were designated to be at lunch at 11:00, and the hour of joy started at 11:01, that's probably where they are

ppl tend to forget that the VHS tape Elliot Ludwig was in when he introduced play care was also released to the public so it would’ve been really suspicious if there was a huge orphanage w hundreds of kids but little to no actual adoptions happening. So having a few kids being actually adopted every now and then would make sense for the company to put up with their reputation. If this IS real, it makes me also wonder if any of those kids told their new parents how their life was in the orphanage, (like how it’s underground and being subjected to poppy gas thing to fall asleep thing) and if any of those parents found this extremely suspicious and reported it to the police. Speaking of police, aren’t there supposed to be welfare checks on the children in the orphanage? Kids being killed and turned into toys could’ve been somewhat preventable if there were well executed welfare checks, right?

What if the kids went crazy too, and would appear as antagonists in another chapter?

If they never wanted to hurt the children then catnap putting the smiling critters (as the kids) to sleep over the hour of joy (aka the storm)

I honestly think the kids ended up starving or dying from illnesses. The toys wouldve rationed out food, but at some point that would run out. They would then offer up the remains of the workers, but that could only last for so long. Especially since meat that isn’t stored probably goes bad real fast. The ones who got sick, the toys could only do so much for since they wouldn’t have the proper means of tending to them. Now there is the possibility that the toys could’ve left the facility to get more food, but I highly doubt that because there’s no way they’d be able to bring back enough food for that many kids

Crazy theory In chapter 4 the prototype is using all the toys to create a shrine and he’s the shrine

i personally feel like these children would not have been able to stay down there long enough without dying. BUT, the red smoke makes kids fall asleep. Meaning that maybe catnap uses the red smoke to keep the children, now almost adults asleep. That may be why catnap didn’t want us to turn off the red smoke. Just a theory🤷🏼‍♀️

What I don't understand is the toys that were previously children. I know when the transformation happened some of the humanity went out of the toys so they may not have even known who they were beforehand. But if they were right enough in their minds to follow the prototype and listen to his command about kill the humans out of revenge for what was done to them, that must mean that most of the toys at least understood what they were in the past life. So how come none of them ever try to warn the remaining orphans of what could possibly happen to them? It would almost seem easy if the children are playing around with the toys all day and they can give them warnings saying hey this place is actually very bad for you they're going to turn you into a toy one day or it's all a lie. I know catnip pretty much harmed all toys who won against the prototype, but this was before the hour of joy they could have warned them?

I think it's highly unlikely that any orphans are still in the factory. Just because the prototype orchestrated the hour of joy along with the other toys doesn't mean that it has other plans.

What happened to the employees’ cars? Did their families not look for them? What stopped the toys from escaping after the hour of joy? We know they’ve done it before. Who’s to say Poppy isn’t in kahoots with the prototype if not it’s master? We know she’s old, but how old?

what if ollie will be the next protaginist of poppy playtime??? cause one of i think most famous poppy playtime theory is that ollie is the prototype... but what if he is just a normal human that actually wanted to side with the evil employees but then the as ollie was going to walk the hour of joy occured then he hid but then we are good employees and he wants to get revenge on you... OR what if ollie is actually SIDING with the prototype... hope that gives you a new theory idea!

I got a theory: what if, there are actually no kids at Playtime Co., not even in the near, but they've been sent to foster homes, nurseries, and adoption centers to get the kids out of that place and avoid a mistake: letting the kids see what happened, and I also think it's unlikely that they have been taken down to the lab, since that is where most of the bodies were hidden, as Poppy said after the Hour of Joy VHS tape

Theory what happened to the children I believe that the children are still alive somewhere in a mini community under the playtime Co. factory, and I also believe that the prototype ordered cat nap to take all the food from the food storages within the factory so they can feed it to the children and keep them alive while experiments ate the corpses of the playtime Co. employees and most of those kids are adults now some of them are 18 while olly and the other younger kids are probably 12 years old because this game is taking place in 2005 and the hour of Joy happened eight years ago in 1995 so I believe the next chapter we’re going to find the children in a community under the guardianship of the prototype within the factory

TBH I think the children had a lord of the flies situation turning against each other betraying one another and killing eachother too and the children who are still in the factory are probably in hiding.
