I literally forgot that Mary Anne existed, i always go to layer 5 so efficiently and fast, that I don't even realise that she is there, which makes it more terrifying once I do find her, just yesterday I was farming finger mushrooms there, and got a bit lost, then my neck got snapped

I swear lore game could be such a huge game if they worked on some aspects of the game I love that game 😩

The corpse seems most likely to be what the creature Mary Ann used to be once it was "alive" and if you look closely at the design. The skull and the ribcage is not actually part of mary ann, if you look where the neck would be, there is actually a hand holding the skeleton, as a type of bait to lure in travelers as they see what looks to be a floating skeleton. What seems to have likely happened was the wizards did some dark magic (Runes) and created Mary Ann from whatever the creature once was. The wizards retreat being so near and of the fact that mary ann seems to have not been around for too long with the notes and of wooden structures compared to the many ancient stone structures. The blind chasm seems once be used as a passage for travelers.

You can actually kill mary ann with another person or an alt. It drops nothing and just dissappears when killed but its still cool to see it can die

My running theory is that the skeleton mary ann wields isnt human, it looks human, and is very smiliar to our biology, but i think the size difference makes it clear it isnt a regular skeleton. My theory is that its a skeleton of an ancient, and that it would explain the size of the vaults door, and why some of the stuff left by the ancients is so large. The ancients may have been giants.

I think the corpse could be the transfiguration of someone else after interacting directly with Mary Ann for so long, Mary Ann appears to have long legs, just as if the bones it uses to attack are just a trap...
