No mystery, the catholic church and the Eastern Orthodox church listened to Origen, an Egyptian philosopher. In 381 AD they voted the trinity into their doctrines at the First Council of Constantinople. Not one of the Apostles of Jesus believed in a trinity. The name is Jesus. Father, Son and Holy Spirit are titles. All the titles are the titles of Jesus. Matthew 28:18 Jesus said " All power has been given unto Me in heaven and in earth."

God has three personages as clearly described in the Bible. Jesus Himself spoke of His Father in Heaven being there while Jesus was with us in the time of His ministry 31-33AD. Going back to the beginning of Genesis, we see God discussing among Himself ..."let US..." We are blaspheming if we assert that God doesn't have three distinct and individual parts when He Himself said "we" and "us" and "our".

He convinced the Roman and Eastern Churches to incorporate it at The First Council of Constantinople in 381 AD. If you have repented, been baptized in the " name of Jesus Christ" you shall receive The Holy Spirit. Those who have actually received The Holy Spirit are brough to all truth. These know that there is no trinity. Reread The Book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ after you have received The Holy Spirit and the Truth about Jesus and God will be clear.

The word mystery in the bible means a secret unsealed or secret revealed. But who can explain the Trinity?🤔 God wants us to know Him, he revealed himself to us through his Son. There isn't any secret here: "and in secret I have said nothing." John 18:20. A mystery is not an unknown secret but a revealed one. "He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given." Matthew 13:11. Check also Romans 11:25 "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in." Well if you are going to use a term out side the Bible then you must go outside of the Bible. The word trinity comes from catholics and there Jesus comes in a sinless nature as do mary and her mother. So if you believe in the trinity, then you believe in that. But the Bible says Jesus came in sinful nature. Use biblical terms not catholics like vespers is catholic too

THE SECOND COMMANDMENT, THE TRINITY AND THE OMNIPRESENCE OF GOD I always wondered what was so significant about the second Commandment that Rome found it necessary to remove it altogether from the Ten Commandments. But it appears that there is a fundamental truth in that Commandment concerning where God's presence is that is intended to protect us from all forms of false worship. The second Commandment tells us that we should not bow down before any image. This implies that God is not in any image. Which means that God is not everywhere. The Bible tells us that God is in heaven; and heaven is not everywhere. Heaven is above the earth and that is where we should direct our worship to God, where He is. He knows everything that happens everywhere and can go wherever He pleases but His abode is in heaven where Jesus, our High Priest and intercessor, is presenting our cases to Him. - "Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens" (Heb. 8:1). Furthermore, both the prophets Daniel and John saw God in heaven with the angels gathered around His throne and Jesus being separate and distinct (Dan. 7 and Rev. 4, 5). Daniel said "the Ancient of days did sit" (Dan. 7:9) and "one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days" (Dan. 7:13). John said "one sat on the throne" (Rev. 4:2) who was worshipped as the Creator to whom it was said "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created" (Rev. 4:11), with Jesus appearing before Him to receive a book and power and authority, as the Lamb who was slain, while the angels sang, "Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever." (Rev. 5:13). God is not everywhere all at once like a vapour while part of Him or an image sits on the throne representing Him. God Himself sits, of whom man was made in His image after His likeness, "made after the similitude of God" (James 3:9). Logically, if God is everywhere, He can be worshipped wherever He is. One could then bow down and worship before a stone, a tree, a person or any object, not as worshipping the object but as worshipping God, since God is in it. That would open the door for the worship of false Gods as no one would be able to tell the difference whether you are worshipping the true God or not. It would not be consistent to forbid worshipping before an object if God is in the object and one is worshipping, not the object, but God who is in the object. This is evident in the experience of the children of Israel in the wilderness. God appeared to them in a cloud and they were not forbidden to bow before Him in the cloud - "And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud" (Ex. 19:9), "And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door" (Ex. 33:10). If God is not in a particular place, say in an image, it means that there is at least one place where He is not. He cannot be everywhere and not everywhere at the same time. The idea that the Holy Spirit is God present everywhere was precisely the argument that Dr. John Harvey Kellogg put forward to justify his pantheistic teachings. And Ellen White told him that he was wrong. Initially, he said that God was in everything. And when God instructed Ellen White to oppose it, he modified it by saying that at the time of his first presentation of the matter in the book "The Living Temple" he did not believe in the Trinity. Because of that, he said he had not given a clear explanation of the matter. He went on to explain that he had now come to believe in the Trinity and could better explain his idea. The new explanation was that it was not God the Father, but God the Holy Ghost who was everywhere and in everything. Ellen White told him that he was wrong. And we can see why. If God the Holy Spirit is everywhere and can be worshipped, it is a doorway to replace worshipping God and Christ in heaven entirely. Another modified version of Kellogg's idea is that the Holy Spirit is really Christ himself or both God and Christ in an omnipresent form. This is also not correct as it places God and Christ on earth rather than in heaven. The pioneers of Seventh-day Adventism stated in their Fundamental Principles of faith published in the 1889 Yearbook that God was everywhere present by His representative, the Holy Spirit. At face value, this would suggest that this representative is omnipresent. But it is perhaps more consistent with scripture to say that He is everywhere present by His representatives the holy spirits. Holy spirits are ministering spirits sent from heaven - "And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man." (John1:51). "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" (Heb. 1:14). This is consistent with the Hebrew word ruach and the Greek word pneuma that are translated in the Bible as spirit. These words are also translated spirits, thus indicating that the Holy Spirit need not be seen as one individual being who is omnipresent but many spirit beings representing God everywhere. From this perspective, there is no denying that the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, sent at Pentecost is a person - only not a God-being to be worshipped. Like the Angel of Revelation 18 who comes down from heaven with the latter rain - a similar occurrence as that which took place at Pentecost except more extensive - the Comforter would be seen as a messenger sent by Christ from heaven, as stated repeatedly in John 14-16. Ellen G. White describing the latter rain speaks of a mighty angel from heaven being sent to do this work and further said, "Angels were sent to aid the mighty angel from heaven" (Ellen. G. White, Story of Redemption, p. 399). It should be noted that Jesus's warning against blaspheming against the Holy Spirit is not implying that the Holy Spirit is more to be revered than Jesus Himself. Jesus went back to heaven and promises to return to this earth to take us to His Father's house in heaven. He left the Holy Spirit to guide us until He returns. If we reject that guidance by blasheming against the the Holy Spirit, there will be nobody to guide us. The situation is similar to what God told the children of Israel in the wilderness - "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him." (Ex. 23:20, 21). It is simply warning us not to reject the Holy Spirit's guidance. It is not forbidding us seeking to understand who the Holy Spirit is or what the Holy Spirit does. So, there we have it. The church has now fully accepted Kellogg's idea. Ellen White said that the initial presentation by Kellogg was the alpha of deadly heresies. She said that the omega would follow shortly afterwards and would be accepted. And it did follow shortly afterwards in Kellogg's modified version, based on his acceptance of the Trinity. And the church has now fully accepted it - that God (the Holy Spirit) is everywhere and should be worshipped. So, based on current practice, Jesus is worshipped, the Holy Spirit is worshipped but the One true God is almost entirely ignored. Jesus, praying to His Father, made it clear who the "only true God" is and identified Himself as the one sent by God - "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3). Nowhere in the Bible is worship given to anyone else except the one seated on the throne who is referred to as "LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come" (Rev.4:8) and to the Christ, the Lamb, as it will be in the new earth - "And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it." (Rev. 21:22). God is the Father of Christ. Accordingly, Christ, the Lamb is seen with "an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads" (Rev. 14:1). It is the name of the Lamb's Father that will be written in their foreheads. Whatever one's concept of the Godhead, the term "godhead" is used only three times in the Bible (Acts 17:29, Rom. 1:20 and Col. 2:9) and in none of these places is the expression used to replace the idea of God being a single individual who has a Divine Son who is worshipped alongside Himself. And not even once does the term "godhead" in scripture allude to the worship of anyone else. All worship should be directed to God and Christ in heaven. It is not about where we are when we worship but, like sending a petition to the king of England, we do not send it to Spain or Australia but to him in England where he is. Similarly, Jesus in teaching us how to pray directed that we say, "Our Father which art in heaven". We should not be praying to nor worshipping anything on earth. We should pray to God in heaven, approaching His throne through Christ, our Mediator, and we should direct our worship to heaven where God is. This is the substance of the second Commandment that Rome has removed.

Here are three quotes on the identity of the Holy Spirit: "Cumbered with humanity, Christ could not be in every place personally; therefore it was altogether for their advantage that He should leave them, go to His father, and send the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof. He would represent Himself as present in all places by His Holy Spirit, as the Omnipresent." (Ellen G. White, 14MR 23.3, 1895). "We want the Holy Spirit, which is Jesus Christ." (E. White, Letter 66, April 10, 1894, par.17-18). “The Holy Spirit is the SPIRIT of CHRIST; it is HIS REPRESENTATIVE. Here is the divine agency that carries conviction to hearts. When the power of His Spirit is revealed through the servants of God, we behold divinity flashing through humanity.” - (E.G. White, 13MR 313.3, 1895)
She explains it like it is! I don’t know why the Adventist Church has so many different views on the Holy Spirit! It’s their own views and the views of the Catholic Church! It’s the Omega! COMMENTS ON DOUG BATCHELOR’S, EXPLORING THE TRINITY: ONE GOD OR THREE Pastor Doug’s presentation made four main points: 1. Jesus always existed. 2. Jesus is fully equal with the Father. 3. The Holy Spirit is a unique person. 4. Mention is made of three distinct entities in certain benedictions and salutations. I would have addressed most of these points directly or indirectly in my previous post. But, for clarity, I will address each point briefly as follows: 1. Jesus died and therefore did not always exist - “I am he that liveth, and was dead” (Rev. 1:18). His Father gave Him life - "For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself" (John 5:26). 2. Jesus never claimed full equality with God, His Father, at any point in His existence. Before He came to earth, His Father anointed and appointed Him - “Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” (Heb. 1:9; see also verse 2). While He was on earth, He said “my Father is greater than I” (John 14:28). After sin is finished, He will still be subject to His Father - “And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.” (1 Cor. 15:28). 3. There is no issue with the Holy Spirit being a unique person. The Holy Spirit, the Comforter, like the Angel of Revelation 18 who lightens the earth with his glory during the latter rain, is someone who is sent and acts on instruction - not a God-Being to be worshipped - “he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak” (John 16:13). 4. There is no issue with mention being made of three distinct entities. The issue is the relative position of each. The Father has no co-equal. He is “the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see” (1 Tim. 6:15, 16). He is the One that the Bible refers to when it says there is one God and none else. It is talking about Him as the only Supreme Being. There aren’t three supreme beings, only One. All other beings are subject to Him. Further, the third entity is not always one Holy Spirit but many, for example, “Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne” (Rev.1:4). These seven spirits are later described as “seven lamps of fire” (Rev. 4:5) and also as “the seven angels which stood before God” (Rev. 8:2). It is interesting how the Bible explains itself if we would only take the time to consider it - Jesus sent His angel, (the Spirit) to His bride (the church), and this is what He said, “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.” (Rev. 22:16, 17). The Spirit and the bride are the same ones mentioned before - the angel and the churches. Here are the three again, “I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things” (1 Tim. 5:21). There are many others. These are the same ones who were present at the creation - “Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? …. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” (Job 38:4-7). It is time we take stock of God’s warnings to His people about the omega of deadly heresies and stop promoting this doctrine of pagan origin, brought into Christianity by Rome but was rejected by the pioneers of the Advent Movement. It denies the most fundamental truth of the gospel that God loved us to the point of giving His only begotten Son to die for us, and not a fellow God who really cannot die, pretending to die.

The final controversy of worship, with the mark of the beast and the seal of God, may have a Sabbath component, but it WILL be about those that believe in one God, and those that choose the POPULAR trinity deception which is already the unifying doctrine of the global ecumenical church, including SDA's. So who will be the true remnant of Christ's church and the true believers of the original pillars of truth of the seventh-day Adventist Church?
How would an intangible type of belief such as that be enforced? a day of surrender, no work, and observance is something tangible… there is no commandment, or even mosaic law stating do not believe in the trinity.. I’m genuinely curious the basis of this theology

The trinity concept only began to gain popularity after the Council of Nicaea (328) as part of an overall remodeling of Christianity which includes Sunday worship... it is hypocritical to the highest degree , higher than the 9th heaven, to say you accept " truth" as trinity and not sunday worship. To accept one is to accept all. Or be a ranking hypocrite.

It's sounds intelligent but oh..so wrong. That plurality in Genesis was in reference to HIS heavenly host, HIS sons...not to another GOD. And those name translations are all human interpretations. BUT, you do sound like you genuinely want to learn and understand. If only we could speak face to face, but alas, where I'm, you cannot come. The early church did not believe it. I have asked many Trinitarians to tell me why the Trinity is absent from the early church. I am still waiting for an answer.

There is no mystery...God (Spirit) took flesh upon himself (the Christ) and dwelled among us. The Christ had human blood, to be shed for the remission of our sins. Was buried and the same God that indwelled it, resurrected it from the grave, glorified it, and took it to heaven. In the day of Pentecost He himself came as Spirit to indwell all believers, baptized in HIs name. He is the beginning the middle and will be in the end. The apostle Paul said, "and ye are COMPLETE in Him, that is the Head of all principality and power. For in HIM dwelleth ALL the fullness of the Godhead BODILY." (Colossians 2:9-10)
Sad bit this is false theology. Why was the teaching that God is a personal spiritual being removed from the FB? They removed it and put the Trinity in. Why? Why is the Trinity doctrine nowhere to be found in the early church. Did the apostles forget to tell their disciples of it?

People really need to read the bible in detail, and study in detail clearly the understanding of Trinity is there to clearly to understand, three divine beings equal in wisdom, knowledge, power, and immortality each taking a different roll in all things, and in our lives, united in love and purpose, make them one God, just as a man and woman with them still being two individuals become one flesh. Not hard to understand no violation of Scripture. What hard is for people to allow scripture to say what it really saying, but many choose what they want it to say that why maybe those who are to be offensive because there traditional understanding or beliefs may be shown wrong by scripture itself. They should study surrender and obedience first before lashing out. Let scripture tell you what it saying without your choosing what it saying.
Apparently, Jesus needed to study the Bible, too, because he said the Father was "the only true God." Your statement, a core tenet of Trinitarian dogma, does not hold up to the Biblical record.
A careful study of john 1.1 reads in the beginning the word was toward or with The God , very singular, and the word was god ,elohim. Trinitarians think they understand John 1:1--but by their understanding are then forced to reject verse 18 of the same chapter, for it says: "No man hath seen God at any time"! I don't like how you explained why Jesus said he doesn't know the hour of His coming... You said he didn't know because he was human, but then you came and say He knew their thoughts. I think is more reasonable to say that Jesus doesn't know the hour of His coming because Jesus choses to limit His power so He doesn't know. How came we have free will if God is all powerful? God limits His power so we can have free will. If I am strong enough to brake a dore when I open it, do I really need to break it, I can chose to limit my power so I can open the door slowly without breaking it. I think this explanation is more reasonable. If Jesus says only The Father knows, believe Him.

The word "name" in Jesus' command is singular both in Greek and in English. There is no "3" here, which the disciples well understood, for they only baptized in one name.

In the beginning God in the plural ( Elohim) created (Bara) is in the singular, ih the Hebrew the verb should have been in the plural, in the singular it is a gramatical mistake, but as the 3 are one the verb is in the singular! Literally in Hebrew it reads In the beginning created Gods ( Bereshit bara Elohim). In the Hebrew , the verb is the most important word in a sentence that is why the Hebrew reads ''in the beginning created'' In the beginning the verb does that rings a bell John 1:1 In the beginning the verb (the logos) and that verb is Jesus!
You should study more Hebrew. Hebrew has many words that appear in only the plural form. The verbs and adjectives tell the reader if they are functioning as singular or plural. The verb "bara" in Hebrew in Genesis 1:1 is not a mistake: if it were, then the mistake is repeated in verse 27 of the same chapter, and in every other place where "bara" is used in the Bible--it is _always_ in the singular, because this word is used _only_ for God, and never for anyone else. Nouns in Hebrew can often be irregular in appearance. To know the noun's true number and gender, students of Hebrew learn the rule of thumb: "The adjective never lies." (This applies to verbs, too, of course.) For example, in the first two verses of the Bible alone there are FOUR words that are in grammatical plural but function in singular: elohim, panim (faces--surface of the waters), shamayim (heavens/skies), mayim (waters). Those last three words are _always_ in the grammatical plural form in Hebrew--they have no singular word form. One knows whether "faces" refers to just one face or more than one based on the verbs or adjectives used with it. Nor are these the only words (called "plurale tantum") like this in Hebrew. Having studied Hebrew for about six years, I believe "elohim" is a word that is always plural as well. Understand the son-ship of Christ and how his work on the cross. The cross qualified Jesus to be a worthy high priest in the heavenly sanctuary on behalf of man. Elevating the Holy Spirit to another God or God the Holy Spirit removes where Christ, after his resurrection, breathed the Holy Spirit on his disciples. That same day was Pentecost. This was impossible before the cross, because we didn't have an heavenly high priest. The Holy Spirit dwelling in and with man is the work of God in the new testament! Changing to worship a trinity removes Jesus and the perfect plan of salvation, and replaces it with a god different from out Father. This is salvational... get it right!

There's so much evidence in the Bible that expresses word Trinity, and still many cannot see it ! Baptizing them in the name of, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit !
As SDA it is seen and they are aware of what the bible says. The Adventist church has lost its way. Obviously we're all reading the same book. This emerging confusion is over the identity and position of the Holy Spirit. He, the Holy Spirit, is not another God. The Holy Spirit is Christ with us. Not God the Holy Spirit. After Christ resurrected he returned to heaven to receive his glorified body showing his sacrafice on the cross was accepted. Christ later appeared on the road walking with his disciples. Once the became aware Christ was among them, Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit on them. This act connected Christ in the Heavenly sanctuary ministering the spirit in the Most Holy to the Holy Spirit imparted to the disciples. That same evening was Pentecost. Yes, we all believe in Father God, and his begotten Son Jesus. We worship these two, but the Holy Spirit is not another God. The Holy Spirit is not another or different comforter. The Holy Spirit is Christ with us continually. The trinity is a mystery because it is different from God's plan of salvation. As a matter of fact, the Trinity destroys the plan of salvation by removing the son-ship of Jesus. Doing that tears down God and replaces him with a new triune god that is not biblical. This is a salvational matter not to be taken lightly.

What I'm sharing reveals Father God Son Jesus Helper Holy Spirit There is only 1 worth of our worship, God. Christ carried God's surname, so worship is obvious seeing as while they are 2 beings they are in agreement 🤝. It's a Father and Son plan of salvation with the Holy Spirit being a "helper". After the resurrection how many times did Christ appear in humanity? I'll tell you. With the exception of glorified Jesus on the mount of transfiguration every other time it was the Holy Spirit. Jesus must be ministering the Holy Spirit in the Most Holy Place. That's his work of mediation allowing man to pray directly asking for forgiveness. This is new covenant work. My proof is that Christ appeared to his mother and his disciples after his resurrection and they did not first believe it was Him. I refer you back to my previous post. Why did they not recognize? Because the facial features he has after the resurrection more closely resemble his father's since the features of his mother's side was ministering in the sanctuary. The Trinity says the Holy Spirit is another God seperate but equal to God the Father and Son. I propose the Holy Spirit is a Helper, and not another God, but God and Jesus with us continually. Their spirit in us and with us. It brought us the early rain and it will bring us the latter rain. Oh my friend the latter rain will be soon. It will be over exactly what I'm telling you now. There is a Catholic Bible in Spanish that recognizes in its commentary of Matthew 28:19 that it was modified to convey the idea of the Trinity doctrine. It says that in the begininng baptisms were made only in the name of Jesus.😊

Your understanding is wrong. The word trinity is a catholic term. Ellen white and the Bible uses the Godhead. What's the difference? Big one. Trinity teaches that christ had a sinless nature as did mary and her mother. The Godhead teaches Jesus had a sinful nature as in Hebrew. 2:17, Roman's 8:2-4😊

@@davidinchcliff4560 God gave his own spirit to the first man on earth, Adam, and then took Adam's rib to create the first woman, Eve, and gave his spirit to her too. Their spirits were part of God's spirit, so when they died, their spirits returned to and unite with God again, live with God in heaven. But their spirits were sinful and God had ways to deal with their spirits/souls. That is why during Adam to before Jesus come, the jews continued to sacrify animals, lambs, cow, etc to please God so that he delivered them from their sins and that they might be acceptable to God and go to heaven. @@JRTIGER07 John 17:3 is to clear to mess up. That’s why. Jesus is making a clear point that his Father only , no one else is the only true God. And he is next by his Father, the prince of heaven. Michael= one who is LIKE God. Christ is in the image of his Father. But he is not greater than his Father. Christ is called an Angel ( messenger) but he can forgive sins. Because the Father’s name is in him. John 17:3 is a short and clear point that shows no confusion who the Most High God is. The supreme ruler of the universe the ancient of days. The great creator.
