This is truely the most lush and beautiful version of this song that I have ever heard. Laine Kazan is one of the most talented singers in the world. Gorgeous voice, beautifully and tenderly delivered! I too would love to have a full version of this song.
Very nice rendition indeed. I've been listening to different versions over the years (love this song). Ella's and Nat King Cole's are nice. Doris as well. But it's a shame there's no studio recording of this one, really beautiful phrasing.
Lainie Kazan had such a beautiful voice back then. I remember seeing her in FUNNY GIRL on B'way. She was Barbra's understudy. When they announced that Barbra wasn't in the show, three quarters of the theatre left, but I stayed. Kazan was absolutely Wonderful. Different from Barbra, but totally Fantastic!
Ron you are a witness to Broadway history.🏆 We're all jealous. I hope Lainie Kazan felt the true support and love of the audience who stayed. Mesmerizing performer. The voice. The acting chops. Woulda met her at the stage door for sure!
She still has an amazing voice. Lust in the Dust is one of my all time favourite movies. The notes she hit in that… she’s a living legend. Amazing in any role.
Thank you so much for posting this, I have cried a river again. Everytime i watch this, i come to cry... Beautiful moment, I think i'd be a nice experience to sing that song to someone or maybe be sung to you...
What I try to mean is the deep meaning of the song, it would be a real bless to have someone saying those words... I´ll remember you... Beautiful, definitely, beautiful... Thank you so much for posting this, and the end of the series, very emotional moments... What moments...
Since Frieda is Morty's sister and we saw Morty himself sing towards the end of the series (when he was played by Steve Lawrence), I guess the Fines are just naturally musically inclined
