thank you so much for uploading this!! I did not glom on to the series when it originally came out, too busy with family but when all that was behind me I was laid up from a car wreck and the re-runs came on in heavy rotation on LifeTime and I got hooked! the fact they were coming on all the time got me out of bed ( I crawled to the other room ) and I'm convinced that show actually saved my life because it gave me something to look forward to every day!! I will always love frann D. for that! GB
So, it's the laughter. We will remember whenever we remember the way we were. Thanks Cast from the Nanny for countless laughs to a wonderful show. They were obviously all a family.
i have loved this show since day one, i was 10 when it began and this made me discover the wonderful Barbra. I'd love to hear Ann Hampton's version out of the show, she sings this beautifuly in the back
i agree, it always seems that the final episodes are always the sadent... but they are also the best.. i loved this show and still watch the reruns....
Oh...when I watched this finale I got so sad!! I didn´t want it to end!! =( "TheNanny" was the first nickname I used on the internet! love The Nanny and Fran!!
This reminds me of an episode of All in the Family. Archie Bunker considers moving his family from NY to CA, and he goes, "What's so great about a place named Flushing?'
I'm with you on that. I hate seeing the end of my favorite shows. It's like if I don't see the finale the show doesn't actually end and can go on forever. The one thing I hate the most about finales is they're usually really sad. Why can't these people out do themselves and make the finale even better than all the episodes put together?! Go out with a bang instead of tears.
Not only Fran was a fan of Barbra. The Fine family was! Even in 94 Fran D. met Babs at the Madison S. Garden and she told her about her character was her biggest fan. And a few weeks later, Fran send Barbra a copy of the Ode To Barbra episode and Babs wrote her saying that the episode was really fun, but Barbra didn't appear in the show; not even once. I can say, as a fan who was everyone of her albums, that's not Babs in any way! This singer has a lower voice and sings in a different note.
@franandmax4eva I know, even with Barbra Streisand's The Way We Were playing in the background it makes it more depressing. Out of all the songs did have to pick that one for the finale of the show?
Such a great show! I was upset that it ended!!! On a seperate note, Barbra Streisand completely sings this song 100% better! No one can top her version!
@apeace90 I was thinking someone should remake this but with a few changes Fran used to work in a beauty shop the show takes place in L.A Fran's blonde Maxwell is a movie producer and his rival is Steven Spielberg
@LeandroChengoLopez The whole complete series, Fran Fine, was a tipically fan of a Diva, and that Diva was Barbra.. that makes me think and accept that the singer ir BS. So I'm searching for this "version" too.. and if you can hear the song, the rythm, the texture of the voice I think is the same, but time after with a almost unperceptive renewed music.
@GisaBarros Right? Even though I've seen the last 60 seconds of the show, I refuse to watch the last 2 episodes, because it will ruin watching the whole series for me. I will watch with the though of "it's over, why watch?"
@rodrigomusik So who is she.. ?? No one like her.. Just that's she recorded this version only for The Nanny Finale.. so, if it is not true, How can proof it??
