Absolutely! They could either make fictional drivers, Or they get an agreement to let actual drivers in the game to switch manufacturers. And teams shut down, Drivers retire, But that’s not very realistic for the *first* game.
I think I heard a little earlier on the year that drivers switching teams and manufacturers wasn’t going to happen, something along the line of not worth the legal trouble to make it happen. But having fantasy teams and drivers moving up and down the ranks would be so incredible, especially if we would be able to implement some customization into it as well
That’s what I want. Madden does this. Each driver should have like an overall on them and it either goes up or goes down during and after a season. Also, it would be cool if we could pull drivers from xfinity or trucks up to the cup level as that would make it way more realistic as well. Heck, maybe even put ARCA in the game and we could pull drivers up from that series. I love this idea
The fact that they mentioned nr2003, dirt to daytona, and the thunder games really intrigues me... I hope this game has that perfect balance of arcade and simulation
@mikemayhem39 Wouldn't it be better to just have a great Cup game? All these games try to do too much and eff it up. Or maybe the top 3 levels with trimmed down Trucks and Xfinity. If it's good and there's an additional market they could make a separate game for all the "other stuff". ?? Dirt, late models, all that other hardcore stuff. My 2 cents.
@@FantasySportsZen Whelen mods and late models are regional level nascar divisions essential to career mode, everything’s already scanned in iracing there are literally no excuses not to have these things , iracing will do just fine they are literally the world leader in simulation racing, they have 9 different series in the world out outlaws game, also no one starts off their racing career in cup right away unrealistic, this better be a simulation based experience overall
You're either super rich or out of your mind if you're gonna complain about the game not costing $70. Pricing a game lower is not gonna turn everyone off. Everyone's been waiting for this game for ages. If they bless us with a $50 price tag sales are only gonna skyrocket more
That and not being on previous gen consoles is insane to me. Ik it isn't quite a sim but GT7 is on both PS4 and 5, and still runs and looks beautiful on PS4, and only costs $40.
@@emeraldeyeball2002 the "next gen" consoles have been out for 4 YEARS its your own damn fault for not upgrading everyone has stop making games for previous gen consoles. keep in mind previous gen consoles are 11 years old and still have old tech
Bro the $70 take is wild tbh. With how many videos I've seen at people complaining about how expensive games are. $50 game with plenty of features would be a great selling point. A good game for a decent price.
@@taylortnt1175yeah It’s been like this since the 90s. I don’t get this I want to pay less but expect the same or more production value. “We have to dock your pay. But you have to work the same hours probably more.” “But my last raise was 34 years ago!”
@@runrafarunthebestintheworld it's not "way too high" if you can't get a 50$ bill and a 20$ bill then you have bigger problems than worrying about what game to purchase plus NASCAR and Monster Games is reasonable it most likely won't be 70$ NASCAR needs these series of games to be successful
Bruh, $70 is RIDICULOUS for a racing game. Where they’re going to release another the year after asking for another $70. Might as well just sign up for iRacing at that point. You’d have better racing, online competition, physics, and fun.
@@MJForever1999 it blew up expectations and that may have been its downfall. I just hope everyone doesn’t expect this to be up there with NASCAR Thunder in quality with it being the first game in the series.
@@jacechrisman4806 now hold on now…. They have technology now that they couldn’t dream of in 2000,2001,2003… I am expecting a decent shot at a game title and completion. I’m not saying perfect but listen it’s 2024 about to roll into 2025. Don’t sell us iracing 2025 on console. That’s not what we’re asking. Can we get story lines? Can we get a decent damage model? Can we get a presentation worth watching?
I really really hope there will be a NASCAR game that will make even us Europeans appreciate the beautiful motorsport from the US! The onboard sound needs to be absolutely spot on! Peace from Denmark! ❤
Problem with $70 is with the inflation. People who don't have a lot of money can't afford it especially if they have to pay their home bills, groceries, and auto insurance. $40 to $50 for the 1st game is a great start. If the game is good then they can raise the price with more value in the next game.
The hardcore gamers wouldn’t care. Money isn’t everything to some of us. Lol I mean it’s a $140-$150. Some peoples sim setups are in the tens of thousands. lol my series x sim setup (mainly play F1 for now until the new nascar comes out) is worth like $2k. Gotta be dedicated. lol
@justinchenault356 that's the thing though, most casual gamers, if given a choice of one over the other, are absolutely going with GTA over NASCAR. EA sold millions of Thunder games, and I guarantee not all those were hardcore NASCAR fans. The audience is much smaller now than then as it is
The original writers are all gone anyways. GTA 6 already had a stock holder meeting where some devs said its going to receive negative feedback. Probably some Sweet Baby inc woke bs.
I picked up on the context clues in the August 1st development video that led me to the strong opinion of the potential of the February release, it would be great for marketing the game during the entire season. What do you think?
The fact they also mentioned to have some former Tiburon staff as well onboard with monster and their own studio its hopefully the best of the aughts in one modern package
Well we haven't had a good NASCAR game since NASCAR thunder 2004 and ever since then we have been disappointed with every game since i hope it's for Xbox One and Xbox series x and s and PS5 and PS4 consoles as well too hopefully.😊
As much as I hate you saying that it should be priced at $70, I truly do agree with you. It needs to be promoted and perceived that way, along with having the features of a $70 AAA game
No it shouldn't also NASCAR Heat Evolution being priced 50 dollars was the right price that Game was clearly broken from the start. Plus I don't hear Radman complaining about Eutechnyx or Activision making NASCAR 2011 the Game less than 50 dollars.
Monster games will develop this game with tracks superspeedway, intermediate, short, road courses and historical tracks with respective drivers and legends known by all with a paint booth and burnouts in quick race and career Cup Series, Xfinity and Craftsman truck series included it will resemble dirt to Daytona & NASCAR 21 ignition and rivals platforms will be included PC, Xbox and PlayStation and Nintendo switch it will come with a lower price that will never increase🏁
I totally hear you on the release. I've never understood why NASCAR games always came out at the end of the season, which made it an outdated game, at least at the time. Now they can do roster updates, so it shouldn't really be an issue. I think it's probably going to come out at the end of the 2025 regular season and the beginning of the playoffs. On a side note, I hope they give us the option to make a custom point system like iRacing has and give us the option to include the playoff or not. Gave us some room to play with the points to make it how we want it rather than be stuck in the gimmick box that NASCAR made. Give us the option to remove stages or adjust how many we want (up to 5). Give us the option of what laps the end of the stages are by using percentages of the total laps, and the option to have no cautions to end the stages either. Basically, give the players or fans the freedom to customize a season or career mode to make it more fun and less repetitive.
The ai wrecks weren't the best, The minimum car wreck included 3 cars involved. Nascar heat 3 and 2 had more cars involved, and we need that to make the wrecks more realistic. 2nd adding to the wreckage topic, when a wreck does happen, the ai just stops in their tracks and it looks unrealistic. It would be better to make it so they actually try to go around the wreck while still on the gas to avoid it, and some just stol while the wreck happens so the wrecksge is realistic. Basically saying that some cars in the field do end up avoiding the wreck, and some get collected.
I think that if they are going to mention nr2003 in the very first bit of official content they publish then they CAN NOT miss the mark. That's a call to the old heads of sim racing.
They should kinda do the farming simulator release schedule which is every two years a main console release with new features and improved graphics, and in between some kind of mobile OS game....
What % of fans do you think follow Cup level, essentially exclusively, vs ALL the "other stuff"? I would say high but idk. 50+ I would guess. I hope the game is tailored to being in Cup and all they can pull out of that.
I feel like what they may miss on without the PC release is more content creator exposure, simply because it's easier to pull off with most gaming and recording on PC anyway. I feel like the WoO game was really good but pretty quiet on the content creation front and it may have been the console only release? Possible idk. I think they don't want to release on PC to protect assets within the game not so much competition with the iRacing simulator.
I agree with pricing. Don’t short change your self. To have a great game that’s close or better than early 2000’s NASCAR games even if it’s just on console would be great. I trust the group of guys the assembled. Just give it time and the proper funding. I feel NASCAR popularity is on the rise. I think a lot of the racing podcast are helping with it. Even if you’re not really a nascar fan those games are fun to play.
They are saying what they are supposed to say. Will it deliver? Will it have story lines? Will there be tension? Will the Ai do things that show its intelligence or lack there of? Fuel mileage? Like there are a lot of unknowns here
I have a great idea about them dropping the game whenever September or February, but do what Rainbow 6 Siege does and do like seasons where it’s every 3-4 months. The new season starts while they are preparing the new game 2-3 years afterward or even later. Or better yet, make this the console version of I Racing and keep updating and upgrading the game to bring in more customers
As a poor kid growing up. I didn’t have the privilege to buy the games day one(59.99 for Super Nintendo games in my day). You have to wait a year for a sale. That usually gives you enough time to realize if you even need this game or just got caught up in the hype. I still use these tactics. But now sometimes instead of a sale. They release it for free for psnetwork users.
I feel like these games need to be on a bi annual release. If anything we can either get a free or cheap expansion that gives you updated drivers, schedules and paint schemes. That way you can still play and not be too outdated with who or how you're playing
Even though there are some ups and downs, I really just hope it’s a better game than 21 by this point I can’t even play NASCAR games and I’m a kid that’s crazy. I just hope this NASCAR game is good enough.
I think the hard part of releasing for the Daytona 500 is you'll either have the previous year's roster or an incomplete roster for the new season. Every year has more and more teams with last minute driver announcements, and even the teams which don't, don't have sponsors and paint schemes revealed in time for the game to launch
I want them to be able to let us build cars like thunder 03 where you gotta upgrade the chassis the motor the tires the aero everything like that and it just might bring me back to console racing
I just want better ai and a setting for more often ai crashes. Also I don’t care how it looks but I just want the Chicago street course idk why I just do
I might be the minority but I hope that the online has private lobbies with AI. I've gotten a ton of hours out of heat 5 doing custom seasons with my friends and keeping track of points for a champion. Being able to adjust the ai difficulty would be icing on the cake for that
A lot of these games release September/October because October is the new Fiscal year. A lot of financial reporting and other things go on a fiscal year period, not a traditional annual period. So that is why this happens
Wholly disagree with the $70 price point for 2 reasons: 1: prove to the consumer that you’re actually committed to making the best product possible. The past few games have burned fans, even though this is a completely different studio, prove to the consumer that you’re actually doing things the right way. 2: simple supply and demand, NASCAR is a niche market now whether everyone likes it or not. The $70 sports games are something everyone knows ie Madden, NBA, CFB25, MLB, NHL, and so on. In the gaming industry at least nascar itself hasn’t been at the forefront of sports games since Nascar 14 at least. There isn’t enough of a demand from the gaming industry to justify a $70 price tag.
Hi RealRadman, You bring up a good point about how most sport fans buy video games between July and November which can feel like a burnout. I’ll side with you that NASCAR 25 should be released in February 2026.
I disagree with ur pricing argument. Ive played a game called Inscryption for like 70 hours and the game was awesome. It only costed me like $20. There’s a lot of really good games out there that are not triple A pricing.
I'm keeping my personal hype down, my expectation for NASCAR 25 is for it to be playable, I will not be preordering it or buy it until we get to actually see the game, as far as a February release, I would do the $50 November release, than a February special $70 Daytona release with a driver DLC both of NASCAR 25. And every game after that the same way with a duel release
It may not be at the console games release date but I wouldn't be surprised if iRacing sets something up where for PC the console game is effectively "built in" to the UI for as long as you have an iRacing membership. Not sure how easy it would be for them to have a normal game that is entirely separate from iRacing use the UI as a launcher but I feel like that would be the best case scenario. Maybe get some people into the iRacing world if they come in just for NASCAR '25 and possibly get some of the non oval iRacing crowd interested in the game and maybe even NASCAR as a whole.
Personally I don’t think any video game should be worth $70 tbh but I just hope it’s a good game with good physics, good ai, good feeling tracks, good in depth career mode, and better damage and crash physics and I also want trucks, xfinity, cup in the new game
I want reactive ai where if a long run in the race goes on tires wear out and lap times deceases and handling goes away where the player isn’t the only one affected by it I also want multi groove racing on tracks that have multi lanes and also hopefully the plate races have nice pack racing and not 2-4 car runaways like old days nascar now doesn’t have 2 car tandems anymore and obviously we all want blow over physics but a little more realistic where you get don’t get turned and flip 50 feet into the air 😂
Hoping they price it at $70 is wild tbh, Radman. I love iRacing, and I think it’s the most advanced simulation racing game out there. With that being said, I couldn’t give less of a damn if they’re heavily aiding in making this game. This is the first game that they’re coming out with for console after the shitshow that was Motorsport Games. We haven’t seen a NASCAR game in 3-4 years. NASCAR games aren’t the $70 price tag level of NBA, MLB, Madden, CFB, etc. It’s NASCAR. Price it at $40 for the first game to see if the fanbase likes it and if they truly want to see more. If they do, THEN price it at 60-70 dollars (even then I still think $70 for a NASCAR game is wild). It’s crazy because the people that say “this game should be given a premium price tag of $70 dollars” are the same ones that get pissed whenever the game “sucks” and they don’t like it. 🤦🏽♂️
I also had a similar issue where I dropped 2102's tender and broke the little yellow step things on the rear. I haven't looked for any replacement parts, but the model is like 15 years old so there probably aren't any
I don’t even know why people were *hyped* for Motorsport Games, They had no experience. While iRacing (Alongside Monster Games) have experience, *TONS* of experience. I’m sure they’ll make a good game, But only time will tell…..
I hope they have 2 different modes, a simulation mode, and an arcade mode. I want to race on my racing sim setup and it needs to be a sim, along with being an arcade game for casual players, not a mix of both. Doesn’t have to be full on iRacing but something close in sim setups
No excuse not to have Whelen mods, late models and ARCA in career mode, everything’s already scanned on iracing I want a deep career mode starting from nascars regional Whelen mods all the way up to cup
@@Bak3dGamingYT I really hope so, sometimes I go back to NASCAR 2005 chase for the cup only to play the Featherlite mods too lol only thing bad about those games is no caution for the mods for some reason
even if the game is not going to be on last gen (xbox one and ps4) i still hope they will make the graphics good for at least low end laptops and pc's if this game does not come to PC or Steam. That's what I desperately hope so it can be at least compatible with my system if it goes to PC on steam, and low end gaming laptops to.
I honestly hope we can build our car up in career and then take it to online and level up in grade classes like iracing. If online holds and we can progress it would keep the skilled drivers wit skilled drivers and bad drivers wit bad drivers unless they get better.
If it was released on pc then it would be nice for the ppl who cant afford monthly i racing subscription. But yea could be confict of interest to iracing
The career mode better be different then the heat series because holy shot is that played out. NASCAR Heat, Tony Stewart, and WoW are basically the same career modes like cmon guys
New idea: For like Crown Jewels on that weekend. Say like coke 600, we have a 100% coke 600 online hosted by the devs with real officials and whoever wins gets like a free scheme bundle or something. 👇 like if you like this idea
Nascar console games have done me dirty for some many years. They haven't been that good at all as far as simulation goes. I just sold my left testicle to go iracing and get a pc. BEST MONEY IVE EVER SPENT
Did you say it NEEDS to be $70?! $70 would not make this game better than getting on IRacing and racing NASCAR… It’d be almost redundant to get both especially with how good the racing on iRacing is…
This had better release on PC. PC supports so much more than consoles. And im not buying a console just for one game. And iRacing has little conflict with a NASCAR game. iRacing doesnt have a career mode with team building/research/etc. And iRacing has all that stupid licensing to get through and nickle/dimes you to death on tracks/cars, etc. Two very very different types of games/sims.
I watched a video almost exactly like this one but it was abt if we were over hyping it for right now I think we are bc it’s still a year away and the hype is already high but I get it bc the technology these days u are able to make great games with great graphics and not have too many problems
