*BTW* The Footage recorded for this documentary will gradually be released for everyone to watch and use on this channel: ru-vid.com/show-UCb85YTropweN7mA0qh8x6EQ *Q&A!* *What is this?* This is a complete compilation of my "Nature of Monster Hunter World". Think of it as a Collectors edition, I guess. *Why is the editing/audio so inconsistent?* This is a compilation of eight separate videos that were produced over the course of around 16 months. I grew and evolved as a creator in that time and as such, the editing and quality continously improved. For this compilation, I fixed a few things here and there but ultimately left them mostly as they were, making them snapshots of my skills at certain moments in time. *Some of the music is different here compared to the single episodes, how come?* In the early episodes, I used a few pieces of music that continously caused me grief with RU-vids Copyright System. In order to not have to go through that whole spiel again, I replaced all problematic songs in this complete edition. *What happened to Kulve, Zorah and Shara?* In the end, I could not find a way to make them fit into any episode organically. At best, I might've been able to shove them into the Bonus Episode, but considering how long that segment was with only four monsters to cover, I didn't really want to extend it to almost double. *Why is the Bonus Episode so different from the rest?* The Black Dragons are mysterious beings that have very little known about them... literally. Ecology regarding them is almost non-existent, and while the Iceborne Artbook does give some info, it hasn't been officially translated yet. I didn't feel that I could do them justice in the normal Documentary format, nor did it make sense for a Documentary to exist on these supposedly mysterious creatures. So I decided to stretch my creative wings a little, I guess. *Okay but why is your Voice Acting so hammy?* I'm doing my best. *Will you do any more MHW Docus?* No. I am done with MHW for the foreseeable future. *Will you do a similar series on MH Rise?* Maybe! It really depends on the modding scene - if good freecam/freeze frame tools become available, I will definetly consider it. *Will you do it with older games too?* Much less likely. Not only are mods almost non-existent there, but there wouldn't be that much to show - MHW was the first game to really go hard on the ecology angle, whereas Old MonHun mostly just has Monsters idling until the Hunter enters their Arena. *What did you use to collect Footage?* I used MHWCC Studio for freecam shots in the first few episodes and then switched Otis_Inf Mod for Freecam and Freeze Frame functions. I recorded with NVIDIA GeForce. *What did you use to edit?* Premiere Pro.

Patterns of Blessing Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever. -Psalm 23:6 As he wrote the words of Psalm 23, David was able to look back on his life and say, “Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever” (Psalm 23:6) In the same way, as we look back on our lives as Christians, we are able see a pattern of God’s blessing over the years. As the results of sin catch up with those who have had no time for God, we find that God’s goodness and unfailing love have followed us all the days of our lives. Of course, when we’re going through certain situations, we might not be able to see God’s goodness or mercy. We might even question Him on occasion. But as we look backward, we’re able to see God’s hand in a way that we perhaps could not see it before. We see this illustrated in the tumultuous life of young Joseph, who had so many setbacks. Yet so many wonderful things happened in his life. And in the end, he said to his brothers who betrayed him, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good” (Genesis 50:20) Even if you have wandered from God, He will put goodness and mercy on your trail. The Bible says, “Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?” (Romans 2:4) Maybe you haven’t walked as closely with the Lord as you ought to, and you’re not happy doing what you’re doing. Come back to the Shepherd. He loves you and will welcome you with His goodness and mercy. And really, it’s the greatest life there is. Even if there wasn’t a Heaven, the Christian life on earth alone is better than anything this world has to offer. But there is a Heaven. And it isn’t an afterthought or a fringe benefit. It’s our ultimate destination. That is why we can say with David, “And I will live in the house of the Lord forever.” It is certain. Nothing is going to change that. And it has a way of putting everything else in perspective. When the disciples were discouraged, stressed out, and afraid for their future, Jesus told them, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am” (John 14:1-3) Jesus is coming again. It may be in our lifetime. It could even be today. And ultimately as Christians, we all are going to go to Heaven. That is our great hope.

This is too funny, but on a serious note, I must be built different or something, I remember fighting Plesioth in MH3U(my 1st MH game), I had a blast! Or maybe I was so traumatized by the fight I subconsciously recreated the fight into a happy memory as a coping mechanism.
@mememaster695
@mememaster695 Год назад
@@_fire_fox_1152 The Plesioth was mostly terrible in the original monster hunter, as it was programmed to spend 80% of the fight in the water spamming water beams at you, and also had really broken hitboxes when it finally came out of the water. It was fixed in later games when they added the ability to swim, which allowed you to fight it in the water, and also when they programmed it to come out of the water more often so you could actually fight it.

My friend, you are a genius. You manage to give a magnitude to these video games that can't leave anyone indifferent. Especially the last part, about the forgotten episode. The intensity felt during the fights, the sadness when learning the death of fellow hunters and the incomprehension at the brutal end and this unpleasant feeling of sadness that invades us ... just thinking about it gives me chills. This video is simply a work of art without equal. I would certainly watch again and again that video. In memory of all the Monster Hunters who died to ensure us a better world.

Given how gripping that last episode was, I can only imagine what you might make for the Archdemon of the Abyss, should you ever do something like this for Rise and Sunbreak. Considering the characters often treat it as a literal demon trying to crawl out of the depths of hell, it’ll be a blast to write, I’m sure. In other news, this may be my favourite RU-vid video of all time. It really is a testament to the sheer level of worldbuilding (incredibly obvious pun not intended) present in World. You did an incredible job compiling it all and adding your own flair to it all, and the last episode is sensational. Mad props to ya, and I can’t wait to watch more of your stuff! He's huge into dinos, learning about nature, animals and geology, etc. Also loves Pokemon. I know he would love the adventure, immersion, and charm that this game has to offer. The problem I face is he is losing motor function, and has gotten to a point where unfortunately, a lot of things we take for granted are becoming increasingly difficult for him to partake in and enjoy. But I will show him this, you did a fantastic job of painting a picture of what makes Monster Hunter so special. Having already sunk hundreds of hours into mhw iceborne I didn't really think I would have learned anything but BOY was this a treat. You made an excellent documentary and pure showcase of just how incredible the world building of monster hunter is. There's things here I've learned about monsters that will even help me avoid and fight them better! It's amazing! The journal entries too were wholeheartedly magnificent. I was grinning throughout the entire xeno & safi'jiva entries (favorite monster and fight) and honestly it's inspiring. The entire section is inspiring from a purely story telling and voice acting level, finding myself wanting to do something similar.. The games definitely don't emphasize just how dangerous these monsters are and putting the game world into a different form like a journal can make that level of severity truly be felt. So many more words to say but not enough time or not in the correct space. This, is absolutely magnificent.

Patterns of Blessing. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.

Your work on this series has been incredible to behold. The passion you've shown for this game and its ecosystem is unrivalled. From the beta of base MHW i was obsessed with the world they created, it was so incredibly immersive and nostalgic at the same time for me. The only MH game I had played was MH Tri years before MHW came out. I knew from the first moment I saw that reveal trailer that this would be my return to the series, never to live without it again. I love your work on this series because of how incredibly detailed and realistic you are about the monsters, how you logically and fantasticly you explain all of the absurd moves and powers of every monster in every locales with just enough fantasy to make me think "of course it works that way!". These videos must have been the most draining thing you've done on this channel, and I just want to say that where I'm standing from it has not been wasted time. I thoroughly loved every second of every video. Thank you so much for sharing your insight into this absolute piece of art. Though some monsters weren't covered, you've more then earned your rest on this series. And leaving me wanting for more is not a bad sign from your angle I suppose :p Thank you so much again for making this, it has changed my opinion and lookout on already one of my favourite games for the better. As a long-time monster hunter fan, this is the best video I have ever seen on it. World is my favorite game of the series, and I've put in nearly 2,000 hours and reached MR 999. I have spent a lot of time exploring and researching environments while making connections between some of the more niche details. That being said, this video was eye-opening. Everything that you presented was incredibly logical and made perfect sense in the grand scheme of World's ecology. Even for the information I did know, it was displayed in such a way I was thoroughly entertained by it. I never expected to sit and watch a 5-hour video, but I was enraptured the entire time. I was constantly rewinding to properly analyze and ponder the points made. The presentation felt very official, and the information was incredibly well-informed and believable, with strong evidence to prove it. Thank you for making an absolutely incredible video that puts together so many of the little details Monster Hunter leaves us in their games and allowing us to further our understanding of the intricate and beautiful world of Monster Hunter.

Don't really understand why the odogaron isn't seen as one of the apex species of the vale. Odogaron is a killing machine. His fights results in a draw with the tigrex and glavenus (and I will argue that he seems to really do well against the tigrex), and he humiliates the radobaan. He moves through the whole area, and is even ballzy enough to dare to attack the Vaal Hazak, when most of the other apex predators flee against Elders. He can move to the coral highlands, and humiliate the tzitzi-ya-ku and the paolomu, and again, have a draw with the legiana. He also have a turf war with the rathalos in the guiding lands. He is pretty much totally adapted to the rotten vale, and when tigrex and glavenus weren't in the game, he was the clear master of the vale. The only thing kinda sad about him is how the Deviljho doesn't even go in a turf war and just uses him like he would with a great jagras. But for odogaron defense, all apex are fresh meat to the deviljho, and the odogaron, being lighter and smaller than most of the other apex, considering his lethality is no use against pickle jho, is pretty much screwed. The Rotten Vale seems to have no real apex predators, it is plagued with killing machines that fight again and again for superiority. Considering the environment, bones and putrid meat, effluvium, I would say that is pretty clear that the monsters here fights even more for their survival than the other monsters do in other areas.

I have to agree on odogaron being the apex of the rotten vale. What further cements this post is that he draws with other apexes and actually beats the mid tiers like radobaan.

I basically never have the desire to comment on anything, but, I this is one of my favorite youtube videos in recent memory. The amount of effort that just went into compiling the information and fact checking it must have been ridiculous. And then after that you poured so much effort into making it really well presented and professional. The editing alone would have been so time consuming, not to mention going through the effort to get all the relevant footage for the accompanying parts. Making it feel very realistic and believable in the documentary sense. Seeing the appreciation people (like myself) have for the developers for going the extra mile to flesh out these creatures and make them seem like they could almost exist is one of the qualities that makes me enjoy these games as much as I do. Even being someone who looks into a lot of this sort of information, I learnt so much. I write this as soon as I finished watching for the first time knowing I will watch it more than once. This is one of the most impressive videos/series of videos I have seen period. All I'm failing to say, if you do see this, is thank you. And now I shall go on to watch some more of your videos :)

I love how this simple 5 hour long documentary took a while day for me to finish. Not because I had stuff to do or because I didn't hear some things, no. Rather, it was because of the amount of detail put into it that made me replay some parts over and over to get a better understanding of every monster. I loved the forbidden episode a lot! That kept me rewinding more than all the other episodes combined. And the ending where the unamed hunter goes back into the fray and not write another entry gave me chills. I know how terrifying Fatalis is, in lore and in game, but hearing everything from the point of view of someone actually experiencing it was incredible. There's just one innacuracy I'd like to point out in the intro: the new world was NOT newly discovered, its existence had been theorized for a long time due to the elder crossing. It's just newly EXPLORED by the hunters guild. Aside from that, absolutely incredible video. The transitions from one monster to another are really clever, and I like how the first few monsters of each area were presented in the order you meet them in-game before diverging from that order as you introduced the master-rank monsters

This was a brilliant watch, especially the last section, you did an amazing job portraying the emotions these hunters would feel after facing these living calamities

Others have said this but the fact that the design of a game can fit into a 5 hour long (and concise) video with realistic validity is really damn cool.

As a deviljho and savage jho fan, that intro at 30:12 had my skin crawling. Smart Biologist would be proud of you!

Bravo. This...was incredible. The whole documentary was incredible, but... That forbidden episode? I am stunned beyond belief. It was visceral, and raw, and i was hooked. I wish i could have taken part in that story because even tho it tells a horrible tale, it was so...real. Amazing work. And please, be very sure of this: The honor is all yours.

This is probably one of my favorite mh video it’s long but also really entertaining which isn’t normal because long usually mean’s boring but your commentary really makes it feel real

My brother sent me this as i'd recently gotten obsessed with World. I really appreciate this type of video. I'm certain a lot of work went into this, and it is great. I'm hoping to see ones for Rise, or perhaps older games. EDIT: I saw you have a Rise video in the same style and i'm incredibly happy to see that. I also recommend that, while recording, you clap whenever you mispronounce a word or stutter in a sentence. It makes it much easier to find while editing and doing retakes and editing those stutters and such out will make these come out much more professionally.

Thank you for watching! I actually very recently completed the Rise Documentary Series, you can watch the 6 Hour Compilation release here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IiPx-_wB2WU.htmlsi=XM3Ii4f9cxve_-Wj

@@Oceaniz thank you! I just finished this one here and, once again, oustanding work. I especially appreciated the diary entries, as it gave me a newfound respect for creatures i don't think i'll ever be able to take on haha. Keep up the work mate, i'll definitely be subscribing.

*cue A Whole New World from Aladdin* Also really hoping you'll be able to do Rise my man, these are way too good to be limited to just one game

i mean no offense by this, but hearing you go from sort of awkward in the beginning with the ancient forest but then start to get into it over time, and then sounding like an actual documentary narrator by the coral highlands point was amazing. this was clearly a passion project and hearing that passion bloom over time in confident narration was amazing. youve actually taught me stuff about the monsters i didnt know yet! edit: also the inclusion of those high res snapshots of monsters in the middle of combat?? those were REALLY cool.

This was feck'n awesome. Clear over the top effort on this. Great job on it. Some of the descriptions for these just give me so much more respect for the monsters, and the team that made the games with so much detail that it can legitimately feel like a living, breathing ecosystem with only a few fantasy aspects making it more over-the-top.

Some slight stutters whilst reading the script, still, better than what I can do. It feels like an actual documentary, especially due to its 5 hour mark (but then again, it would be equivalent to 5, 1-hour long documentary episodes) The wording is incredible from a writer's perspective

I love this series!! I hope that, maybe one day, you might go over some of the locations from rise, or maybe even some of the older games. Theyre not as pretty as world, but theyre wonderful and full of life all the same.

This entire thing is just amazing, the transition from Documentary to a sort of Biography in the last chapter was amazing, and those final few moments left me speechless.
