@Harry Denny Thank you for being the classic Warmunist, using the Saul Alinsky tactics of Ad Hominem to push the cloaked Marxist agenda. When it boils down to it, all anyone needs to understand, is *who* is doing *what* with this special Garbage In - Gospel Out climate model weasel word science. You bleat the typical Doomer porn talking points, there is still ice in the Arctic (Al Gorebbles didn't put his COP15 lecture in his box office bomb), the Antarctic is not just the poster children glaciers on the west side with volcanic activity melting them, and the Maldives is still not flooded by CSLR. Harry Denny, I don’t know what his writing or research ablitity is, since I haven’t read his book. However, I do agree that climate change has been highly politicized in Sweden and the US from the start. What is the solution that is proposed, other than levy a tax? Levying a tax will not stop India and China from doing what is life saving for their citizens. The US has reduced CO2 emissions significantly but unintentionally. Since natural gas is currently cheaper and releases less CO2 per BTU.

@@House4saleinessex You realize we are exposed to natural radiation all the time? The effects of all of the nuclear accidents has been the death of less than 100 people. Chernobyl was the worst reactor too. It had no safety features and was an accident waiting to happen. The modern reactors can't melt down and produce a lot less waste. YOu may be right about large things moving climate temperatures. But I'd rather not take the chance that we're screwing ourselves until we know for sure. Orbital cycles are more in play, solar cycles are secondary. But a confluence of all of the above can be either good or bad. @Harry Denny , how ethical & trustworthy are the "best scientists"? "A conspiracy theory invented by an idiot" and "the best scientists in the field" reeks of scientism. *Blindly trusting science is idiotic,* especially when you take into account that "Scientists at MIT, Harvard, and Elsewhere Face Continued Fallout Over Epstein Connections; The largesse of wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted pedophile, now *haunts the upper echelons of science. * THE *UPPER ECHELONS of academic science continued to be rattled this week amid revelations that many prominent researchers accepted funding* from, or were otherwise friendly with, wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted pedophile and accused sex trafficker who hung himself in a New York City jail cell earlier this month. Buzzfeed News compiled a who’s who of physicists, biologists, neuroscientists, and other researchers who benefitted, in large and small ways, from *Epstein’s pet interests in science.* “Some say they are sorry,” Buzzfeed reported. “Others didn’t comment.” Among those identified were the mathematical biologist Martin Nowak, MIT professor of mechanical engineering Seth Lloyd, and “celebrity physicist” Lawrence Krauss. undark.org/2019/08/30/abstracts-mit-harvard-epstein-connections/ *Epstein said his approach to giving was aimed at achieving scientific breakthroughs.* But his view of the current state of innovation was surprisingly gloomy. “Frankly, Jeff, since the discovery of penicillin [in 1928], there’s been no really remarkable discovery,” he said. “I’ve followed the genome project, and there’s lots of hope. But in terms of a real product, there’s probably nothing that has kept more people alive than penicillin.” Epstein was quick to distinguish his approach from the path taken by other philanthropists, both dead and alive, many of them with wealth that far exceeded his own. “The [Bill & Melinda] Gates Foundation doesn’t search for smart people,” he asserted. “Bill wants to cure polio. He wants to eliminate poverty. But in terms of coming up with new theories of biology or some new form of mathematics, zero [interest].” *Epstein said he also dispensed with the accountability that typically goes with a grant.* “When I’ve given money to a scientist, they’re usually somewhat surprised, and then they say, ‘What type of reports would you like? Is it for a milestone from my next grant?’ And I giggle and say, ‘No, the concept is, you know your field best. Letting people with lots of money have input into what you do doesn’t make any sense to me.’" Asked whose approach to philanthropy he admired, Epstein said his sole role model was billionaire James Simons. A fellow hedge fund manager and a Ph.D. mathematician, Simons has poured some of his great wealth into a foundation that supports budding mathematicians and math educators. But unlike Simons, Epstein said he felt no obligation to help foster a more scientifically literate population. www.sciencemag.org/news/2019/09/what-kind-researcher-did-sex-offender-jeffrey-epstein-fund-he-told-science-he-died *As warnings about global warming* become more dire, *scientists retreat into escapist fantasies.* They envision establishing colonies on Mars. They *preach the imminence of the Singularity,* in which we become superhuman cyborgs or download our psyches into cyberspace, where we can live forever. Some pundits propose that we are already living in cyberspace, a computer simulation constructed by God-like aliens. A few decades ago, these science fictions were fun. But now, as temperatures and sea levels climb, they strike me as, well, decadent. There is a whiff of end times in the air. The *rotten cherry atop this mess is the scandal involving Jeffrey Epstein,* the financier and sexual predator, who took his own life in jail last August. *Epstein cozied up to leading universities and scientists,* who welcomed his attention. They took his cash, rode on his jet and flocked to his parties and conferences, even after his 2008 conviction for having sex with underage girls. [3] blogs.scientificamerican.com/cross-check/jeffrey-epstein-and-the-decadence-of-science/ Where does science come from? "At the same time, Dee was also an important mathematician, political theorist, and proto-scientist, and *his intellectual heritage influenced Francis Bacon and the founding of the Royal Society,* the *oldest national scientific institution,* in 1660. Nevertheless, Dee is not as well-known today as other Renaissance men such as Da Vinci, Leibniz, or Descartes. The political situation of England in the Dee’s lifetime, swinging back and forth between Catholicism and Protestantism, was difficult to navigate. Shifting alliances and monarchs made Dee already lose much of his reputation while still alive, but in many ways, *he is disregarded today because of his involvement in alchemy,* magic, and the *summoning of spirits.* *In alchemy hides the germ of a protoscience that would later become the modern scientific method.* And in conjunction with the rediscovery of Hermeticism and Neoplatonism during the Renaissance, some of its ideas about personal transformation and individual paths to self-realization would, through the *Rosicrucian and Freemasonic sects,* pave the way to a proto-individualist ideology, sparking the French and American revolution whose ideals so define our modern world. medium.com/the-faculty/alchemy-and-the-problems-of-modern-science-e84bde3e6f6b eandt.theiet.org/content/articles/2018/03/the-debt-science-owes-to-alchemy/ *Credibility is a combination of expertise and trust.* While *scientists persist in thinking that they should be trusted because of their expertise,* climategate has made it clear that *expertise itself is not a sufficient basis for public trust.* The fallout from climategate is much broader than the *allegations of misconduct by scientists at two universities.* Of greatest importance is the reduced credibility of the IPCC assessment reports, which are providing the scientific basis for international policies on climate change. Recent disclosures about the IPCC have brought up a host of concerns about the IPCC that had been festering in the background: involvement of IPCC scientists in explicit climate policy advocacy; tribalism that excluded skeptics; hubris of scientists with regards to a noble (Nobel) cause; alarmism; and inadequate attention to the statistics of uncertainty and the complexity of alternative interpretations. The scientists involved in the CRU emails and the IPCC have been defended as scientists with the best of intentions trying to do their work in a very difficult environment. They blame the alleged hacking incident on the “climate denial machine.” They are described as fighting a valiant war to keep misinformation from the public that is being pushed by skeptics with links to the oil industry. They are focused on moving the science forward, rather than the janitorial work of record keeping, data archival, etc. They have had to adopt unconventional strategies to fight off what they thought was malicious interference. They defend their science based upon their years of experience and their expertise. *Scientists are claiming that the scientific content of the IPCC reports is not compromised by climategate.* The jury is still out on the specific fallout from climategate in terms of the historical and paleo temperature records. There are larger concerns (raised by glaciergate, etc.) particularly with regards to the IPCC Assessment Report on Impacts (Working Group II): has *a combination of groupthink,* political advocacy and a noble cause syndrome stifled scientific debate, slowed down scientific progress and corrupted the assessment process? If institutions are doing their jobs, then misconduct by a few individual scientists should be quickly identified, and the impacts of the misconduct should be confined and quickly rectified. *Institutions need to look in the mirror and ask the question as to how they enabled this situation and what opportunities they missed to forestall such substantial loss of public trust in climate research and the major assessment reports. * curry.eas.gatech.edu/climate/towards_rebuilding_trust.html *Scientific beliefs are destined to supersede and replace primitive religious views,* once argued 19th-century French philosopher Auguste Comte. *His scientific positivism birthed today’s scientism:* the *notion that science has exclusive access to the truth.* qz.com/476722/be-careful-your-love-of-science-looks-a-lot-like-religion/

@isaiahwelch8066 2 года назад
No. What he was talking about was that acid rain -- which I recall learning about growing up -- was allegedly demonstrated in the Adirondack Mountains of the US in the 1800s, prior to McKinley's assassination. When the lumber companies came in and cut the trees down and burned the stumps of the trees they cut, it was found that the soil had de-acidified, and as a result, fish and wildlife came back to the area. Where Theodore Roosevelt came in, as the first "conservation president," was that at that time, other conservationists said, "Don't cut any of those trees down," referring to places like the Adirondacks. As a result, the area acidified again, and the fish and wildlife died out again. The issue is that Teddy Roosevelt never said that we should not use natural resources -- he always said that we should be able to use resources, if we cleaned up the environment after extracting them. This was partly the reason why he established the natural parks system as federal lands, as before that, industries had extracted natural resources, and a lot of the time, left things a mess, whether it was the lumber and paper mill industries, or industries like mining. The Conservationist Movement was who tried to say that _any_ use of environmental resources was unethical or immoral, despite the fact that today, the lumber industry actually has an industry standard that when lumber is harvested, they replant the trees they cut down. This results in a "crop rotation" plan of sorts, where an area will take 30 to 50 years and regrow, before being cut down again. This is also why paper mills have largely gone to recycling paper products, and making more out of that raw resource. The key, however, to understanding the modern AGW movement is that during the time of Teddy Roosevelt, the acidification of the soil was a known science. During the 1970s and 1980s, this science was hidden from the public, which is why it had become so rampant back then. The thing about the whole environmental movement today, with so-called "green energy," is that the proponents of "green energy" think innovation and incentivization have stalled, when it comes to nuclear power. Fact of the matter is, the French have solved the meltdown issue of nuclear power by redesigning the fuel rods, while also developing better and more effective safety protocols. Meanwhile, Chernobyl is being repaired, and now has a steel dome over Reactor No. 4. The US has not improved reactor designs since the 1970s, and has had two major disasters with its designs: Three-Mile Island in 1986, and Fukushima, Japan, only a few years ago. I mention the nuclear question because back during the debate about acid rain, it was claimed nuclear power plants contributed to it, when the science said otherwise, which was hidden from the public by the US EPA. Yet, the kicker is, nuclear power is used by every major military force in the world, including the Chinese and Russians, as motive power in things like submarines and aircraft carriers. The technology is proven safe and reliable, yet the AGW proponents and their Green allies would have you believe that nuclear is just as bad, if not worse, than coal, and we should only use wind and solar. And Germany, ironically, after this interview, tried to go to only wind and solar, only to switch coal-fired powerplants back on after 6 months of rolling brownouts.

I don't care to get behind this fellow or the author he interviews. I'm just here for a look-in, and find nothing to firmly persuade me. _But_ ... But I do notice that true believers in the critical danger of AGW do not want a debate. They appear to believe that a vote has taken place and the matter is decided. This is not scientific-minded in the very best sense of the term as I came to understand it while getting my science education at an elite university with a global reputation of long standing. Consensus is enough for many scientists, but the best of them know that the value of a 'consensus view' can for certain reasons have serious limits. Proof and belief are for them words which must be handled like live bombs, except rarely. I've never thought the peer review process absolutely immune to degradation; it has a very good record over the long term and I am not prepared to say more than that. Thus in this instance I am satisfied to disregard most of the time the average views of average scientists, never mind their passable competence at plodding work that squeaks through now and then into a journal. Urgent higher-level interpretation is a different game altogether and the matter is simply too important to give them equal say. So much for consensus, a fine thing though it may be concerning a great many arrangements elsewhere. I notice also that the comment section true believers themselves never in my experience claim to be scientists themselves, let alone tenured climate scientists not career- or funding-dependent on acceptance of AGW-theory. Everywhere I look and in every discussion I read I see fevered attempts by AGW-theory proponents to shut people up. The arguments are poor. I see in fact repeated signs of the madness of crowds. I see ganging-up. I hear ad hominem attacks and other low-value forms of argumentation. I detect in almost every case immature and even deformed elements of personality. I cannot avoid sensations of distrust of them not just as scientific thinkers, but as people. I see plenty of the same things on the other side as well. Yet the doubting side seems to have a monopoly on mental sobriety, calm skepticism, caution in interpretation, and refusal to accept things on faith or on account of mere appeal to authority. In my own life the people I trust resemble them far more than the sneering and often swinish parties attacking them. For now, as I continue to absorb information---usually from respectably-credentialled sources but also from weird places like this---they slightly have the edge in credibility in my eyes.

It's all in their book "The First Global Revolution" published in 1992...the same year as the Rio Earth Summit...and the same year as the U.N. published it's book "The United Nations Agenda for the 21st Century". I own both books. Interestingly enough, before 1992 there were virtually no scientists publishing climate hysteria articles...then all of a sudden there were lots of them. This also reminds me of another example of the misuse and corruption of science. In 1973 the American Psychiatric Association was hi-jacked by homosexuals high up in the organization who worked with an outside activist group called The National Gay Task Force, to declare that homosexuality had to be removed from the list of abnormal deviant behaviours because it was innate (genetic). And there wasn't a single scientific research article published as an investigation into genetics...it all started afterwards into the 1980's, and many researchers declared at the start of their research that their goal was to prove that homosexuality was genetic...(which it isn't). If you want to go further into the corruption of science you can go back to the late 19th and early 20th century where about 10 unproven assumptions were adopted by those who were materialists (you can find that in Rupert Sheldrake's "The Science Delusion"). Materialism is one of the tenants of Marxism and of the modern day green/totalitarians...and yes the Nazis did create policies that the environmentalists mirror today, so it comes full circle. If I get up the courage I want to write a book which I will title "The Final Hitler :and why you will enthusiastically support him" because the same conditions that brought Hitler to power are present again today...and ...a 2000 year old prophecy from the Bible describes conditions under which the anti-christ or counterfeit messiah comes to deceive everyone and rule the world until God destroys him and his followers (The Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ).

This entire video avoids the most important issue which is that the science is not really what is driving the supporters who claim that anthropogenic climate change is real and that it poses a serious threat to life on our planet. No, the real issue is that those behind this subject are the same people pushing for a new world order, though since they were not satisfied with their efforts up to the early 1970’s, they decided they needed an issue that was so big, so potentially devastating to life on the planet that they could easily manipulate the ignorant masses to unite behind them in sufficient numbers so that the global elitists could create such fear that the masses would willingly accept the new world order to save their lives and their planet. It did not even matter if the crisis was real or imagined, for as you can read in their own report, they did not care if the crisis was real or fabricated so long as it was so terrifying that the people would accept whatever the elitists proposed so long as their puny lives would be spared. And so the Club of Rome fabricated the lie of anthropogenic climate change (AGW) to be that threat, for surely the threat of the extinction of all life on the planet would arouse a panic so great across the world that people would rush to the governments crying to be saved! Lest you find this story too outrageous to be plausible, here is an excerpt from the report prepared by the Club of Rome titled “The First Global Revolution” in which they first put forth the notion of AGW: QUOTE “It would seem that humans need a common motivation, namely a common adversary, to organize and act together in the vacuum; such a motivation must be found to bring the divided nations together to face an outside enemy, either a real one or else one invented for the purpose. New enemies therefore have to be identified. New strategies imagined, new weapons devised. The common enemy of humanity is man. In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself.” ENDQUOTE And lest anyone doubt their intentions, remember that Al Gore made certain to protect mankind by inserting his personal interests squarely in the middle of the entire process, naturally, well before it became public, by obtaining sufficient rights to carbon credits so that once trading of those credits began, he would soon become a billionaire. But no one would question how he acquired his massive fortune for after all, look how much the philanthropic former vice President had personally sacrificed to protect the interests of the poor of the world! The report can be downloaded off the net by searching for the first global revolution club of rome It is sometimes surprising how our enemies can be so utterly arrogant that they have absolutely no respect for their victims that they publish their plans on public forums. The global elitists have done it in the past and others have done it more recently such as those who seek to replace our Constitution with sharia. I pray we may be Blessed to continue to find such documents for as Sun Tzu said almost 2,500 years ago, no general can defeat an enemy he does not know. May our leaders always know our enemies well and have the generals who have the skill to defeat them.

For me, the most interesting phenomenon in the environmental movement is the pervasive idea of tying reaching environmental goals with ending poverty (of course through siphoning wealth from the rich countries to the poor ones). Seriously, if climate change is as threatening as they say, perhaps leftist politicians should have some priorities? Like saving the planet first and changing the global wealth structure later? One might think that people who work on climate negotiations treat the climate crisis that according to them has the potential to end civilisation as a means to an end... oh well, that's surely a silly though ;)

I wonder if associating environmentalists with Nazism is simply a form of "ad hominem" attack. Actually, even if the Nazis did try to get people to be more environmentally sensitive, it's not necessarily a sign that it's wrong. In the same way that religion can make good people do bad things, perhaps environmentalism can make bad people do good things. Although there are some "fundamental environmentalists" who do appear to think that "the market" is the enemy, there are others who think technology and the market can be at least part of the solution. One thing should be clear, the threat of climate change (or global warming) is NOT a fraud...no doubt there are enemies of capitalism who will try to take advantage of it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9XIpTqbLR5Y.html

Madison Grant was a hero and ecofascism has a lot to recommend it. Just because the right support something does not make it automatically evil. But I would stress that one can be concerned with looking after the environment without buying into the climate change ideology. I would argue the best way to preserve the environment is to go full steam ahead with nationstate capitalism. Once societies get richer and technologically advanced they can find ways of living with nature. Especially if we pursued some kind of eugenics program to improve the population. Fascism is in many ways quite an attractive vision of a society that is on the one hand liberated by modern technology but on the other deeply engaged with what is natural and evolved i.e. God, religion, nation, family & natural living.

When somebody says this is wrong because Nazi Germany did it, just laugh. Hitler really liked the idea of building freeways (autobahns in Germany). Are freeways bad? Are they "green", let alone tyrannical?

Yet another source that is related to social engineering, is the Tavistock Institute in Britain. The study of the mind and psychology, the treatment of mental disturbances which lead to methods of mind-control with the assistance of torture and hypnosis. This lead to a design of a dark agenda with an attempt to social-engineer the British population into hatred towards Germany in the 20th century. With the result that this nation was heavily involved in and suffered the consequences, losing many lives of soldiers, young men. and lives of civilians, in 2 wars. I believe, that to this day, the Tavistock Institute is active in mind-control of the British people, creating a widening gap between the people living in wealth and the people living in poverty, with an acceptance stemming from a class system. A report is published by the UN, in 2018, where shocking conclusions show us how far Britain is on its way on a slippery slope. The Tavistock Institute has expanded its territory all over the world now. Besides, one needs to look into the procedure leading up to the Referendum in June 2016 with the result of Brexit and all that transpired afterward, with a government never-ever-getting-there. At last, Brussels has kicked Britain out, by announcing the date fo Brexit, Jan. 31 2020. The freedom to give up freedom is the most wicked distortion of the human right to be free.

After the outlawing of the neo-nazi Socialist Reich Party, one of its members August Haußleiter moved towards organizing within the environmental and anti-nuclear movements, going on to become a founding member of the German Green Party. When green activists later uncovered his past activities in the neo-nazi movement, Haußleiter was forced to step down as the party's chairman, although he continued to hold a central role in the party newspaper.

Ever since at least 1980, We the People of planet Earth have had the capability of providing the highest quality of food, the highest quality of clothing, the highest quality of shelter, the highest quality of healthcare, and the highest quality of education for each and every man, woman and child on the face of the Earth, and to do it in such a way that was in Harmony with Nature. We already have gazillions of practical creative solutions that have not been implemented yet. What we don't have is enough public servants to make sure they are implemented. Here in New York City, we are building a Majority Voting Bloc of at least 1 million individuals (a measly 20% of the electorate) who are well-informed, free of disinformation and misinformation, on all the major issues of today AND devoting their time, energy, resources, and talents to the political process, esp the campaigns. That is all we need to win the Mayorship, at least 2/3 of the City Council, at least 2/3 of the Congressional seats, at least 2/3 of the State Senate seats and at least 2/3 of the Assembly seats. We will make sure that only the most Loving/most Wise among us become our public servants. We will change the laws and implement the gazillions of creative solutions we already have on a grand scale and make NYC a model of what's possible in the world today. Then finally we will be in a position to transition to a Whole New Way of Living rooted in Love and Wisdom with no need for any government. See my group on Facebook: "Creating a Wonderful World. (let's get it done already)".

Right because of that globalist crap XR and Greta the actor. This guy is another of the many telling half truths. XR and Greta are not protests, they are engineered consent operation, the UN and World Banks can't demand a new system, they need a social movement to demand it.

A scoop of ice cream cost to one household’s monthly energy bill, compared to the whole country’s increase is not understandable. What was the average household increase? How many scoops of ice cream? Please compare apples to apples, scoops to scoops.

Glad he mentioned the "Frankfurt School". The real name is the "Institute for Social Research" founded in Frankfurt, German in 1929. This is where today's mess comes from 90 years on from it's beginnings. Google it - read about how your world has been moulded by this creed!

May I add .... renewable energy like wind and solar are not only a lot more expensive than for example nuclear or hydro, but are unreliable, intermittent, unfit for mass production of electrical energy and therefore unfit to maintain a stable grid at all times ..... and last but not least .... anything but green ! How come Germany has increased not decreased CO2 emissions and particle pollution by at least 1 to 1 1/2% per year ever since they shut down of the nuclear pp’s ?!

Some good points, but if climate change does pan out the way the worst case scenarios predict, then that will in itself usher in a totalitarian global situation to deal with the chaos. Whichever way, the end result is the same, except the latter position is a lot less safe and chaotic, as well as uninhabitable. But I don't see why global government needs to be adopted for climate change mitigation and reversal to work.
