He's a really really good player ... In europe. Refs can't do anything against players in some places because they'd actually get jumped, brooks is only good in that environment. :)

Ayo I don't like Dillion Dynasty Brooks, he isn't my favourite player, but I feel some sadness and jealousy from the fact that team USA lost to team CANADA and he dropped 39 points, Which was a superstar performance. I think we will see a new Brooks this season
You don't have to like him, but you gotta respect it at this point. He isn't a bad player and I believe his antics are mainly mind games and NBA NEEDS a villain, he does it so well.

In the bronze medal game Brooks actually packed away the shenanigans and stayed on the floor long enough to play a complete game of basketball. He's a role player, that role is a 3 & D wing, objectively he's one of the best in the world at the role right now. There's always those guys that you hate when they're on the opposing team but like when they are on yours.

A guy that couldn't shoot for shit this past season TORCHES young NBA players for 39 points. These kids wanna be offensive minded, but play ZERO defense. Last 2 games gave up over 100 points... EACH GAME. This is why foreign players are better and more versatile. They're obviously smarter, too.
He was doing great things before the beef with the Warriors. You can do great things being an agitator in the NBA, just look at Dennis Rodman. As long as you don't step over the line and being responsible for your antics. However, I did thought he was finished when his own team didn't even want to deal with him no more.

I'm not a huge Dillon Brooks fan, but this is how soft the NBA culture has become. Gone are the times of Ron Artest, Dennis Rodman, and the Piston bad boys. Dillon Brooks is your biggest villain. He is literally vilified by the media. I literally have no problem with this as it adds to the interest of basketball.
I like villains and physical defense, but deliberating injuring or hurting players is not acceptable. Cases in point: GP2 in 2022 WCF and nutshooting Donovan Mitchell.
@@gdjaybee742 Both the incidents were obviously deliberate. GP2 he didn't even have a play on... and the Mitchell nutshot was insanely deliberate. He looked and saw where it was, then rolled & hit him in the nuts. So yes, he's done actions deliberately on more than 1 occasion.

I dislike Brooks and his attitude/persona. Comes across like a bit of a child. That said, he played well in a lot of games this tournament and seems to have been a pivotal part of the teams success. Props where they’re due. Parts of this video feel like a stretch.
Why you really hated Dillion Brooks? He's still a good guy as a father, brother of his family. He's just a villain inside the court/basketball. Luka also acknowledged him in Fiba. He appreciates brooks effort and taunting to help his team win. Overall brooks still deserve some little respect,

If you watch it live, you can clearly see that the main problem of USA team was that they don't have any elite defender and they also struggling in rebounding. USA can't let SGA play iso on Austin Reaves which mostly force them to play double team and most of it result to Dillon get a wide open shot and they dare him to take the shot. Shoutout to him, he did his job really good last night and that's why Canada won.
@@squiggs1002 He is rim protector kind of defender. USA lack of elite perimeter defender. USA lose to Germany and Canada because of Schroder and SGA. Both team just hunting USA weak point by give those guards a mismatch against USA and just repeat the same strategy over and over while USA almost have no answer to defend that.

I kinda see what Ime Udoka thinks in regards of Brooks creating a good situation for young and developing players. After all he takes a lot of heat from the media and is often the one seen responsible for his teams failure which might take pressure from his teammates. I can also imagine that if someone decides to try and bully a teammate of his on the court they could propably count on him being there. Plus he really want´s to win and fight for it, so not the worst veteran player to be around your prospects. And always better than playing against him.

lol. Should have waited one more day to put this out. At the end of the Bronze game the crowd was cheering MVP, MVP for Brooks in the bronze game where he absolutely lit it up. Apparently he was working on his show in the OVO mechanics workshop in Toronto pre-FIBA.... it worked. Dude was shooting lights out. If he can actually be a legit shooting threat, then any team will put up with those antics as he is one of a very few players in the league who always play defense every game.
And just like Rodman, 15 years from now there will be documenteries about how great this guy was. This media world is just here to pass (or waste!) the time.

There is a reason why the Grizzlies Defense is strong and its not all JJJ . We could all hate DB but at the end he is one of the best defenders in the NBA at the moment.
