Bro, it has to be the dumbest thing a team could do today. Trading a 21-year-old prospect that resembles Jokic. I'd retire from being a Rockets fan, and wait until new ownership takes over.
@@InkIsPink Yeah, bro.We already have a dynasty in the making. Sengun, Green, Bari, Thompson, Whitmore, and Eason could easily be the future w/ our future picks via BKN. The only people I'd trade for are Nikola, Luka, or Giannis.
The rumor regarding trading Sengun initiated via a biased Maverick's fan journalist and I can't believe how many people entertained the notion by giving the idea the light of day. I'm disliking exclusively due to seeing Sengun in another team's jersey in that horrid clickbait thumbnail, and the fact you entertained the rumor. There's nothing logical about this upload, and take.
@@gustavericson605 No, you have to do better homework before giving any respect towards that rumor. It literally was said by former Mavericks insider who's spreading lies. Why would a team trade a 21-year-old prospect that resembles Jokic? Literally the dumbest thing a team could do.
Wasn't it easy for Green and Houston to face injury-ridden or tanking teams in March? Run-and-gun play style might be fun but it's very exploitable. Reality set in against a real opponent in the Mavs on Sunday. Green can course-correct against the Timberwolves today but 13 hot games against teams like Salt Lake City Stars and Capital City Go-Go don't make you a superstar nor does it show that Şengün is expendable suddenly. Some Rockets fans think that Jalen will be offered a max for playing well against teams that tank and didn't defend him at all. The "R" in their logo must stand for something else, I won't use that word here... I'm rooting for him and the team to prove me wrong. Godspeed.
Jalen seems to turned the corner but I hate it when people look at a group of games never consider the opponents during the success period. Your comment is spot on.
As a rockets fan hell fucking no I’m not allowing that to happen if i had to pick between Jalen or sengun I’m always going to pick sengun because of him being more consistent i would look at trading Jalen green if you can get a significant amount of value
@@greglyon1402 tbh I know how it is gonna go he is gonna have the same stretch of sucking and then turn it around after all star break I love Jalen but it is time to trade him now if not your gonna regret you need to build around Sengun Jabari Tari amen and whitemore and who ever is the 3rd overall pick
I have heard for 2-3 years that Klay is getting moved. It is not happening. For better or worse, he will be a warrior for life. Edit: Total side note, but myself and I think many of your fans would prefer longer, deeper videos that are not as superficial compared to videos that age out within a month. Look at other channels such as jxmyhighroller for what I am talking about! You could easily make those sort of videos that get several million views rather than responding to the first take you see often based off of other RU-vid videos! Huge fan of the channel, which is why I offer this insight. Not to be a jackass.
Come on dude, you gotta have a BIT more critical thinking when it comes to this. The only reason that Houston is even in a spot to contend for a play-in push is BECAUSE of the emergence of Sengun, the thought of picturing him as anything other than un-tradeable is ridiculous.
Highlights from this season are a solid reminder of how horrible most of the IST floors really were. I loved the tourney, I desperately hope they ditch those floors, and the horror show of the All-Star floor.
They can’t get rid of that IST branding. A big part of the deal to have the tournaments is to make sure the tournament has different branding than regular & playoff games. Indiana & LAL have been selling that specific merch and making millions. No Exec/Player/Coach is giving up that kind of yearly bonus.
@@cjwrench07 I mean, they arent selling the floor. No one rushed out to buy a weird grey and teal court. They are selling the unis, which I thought were great, and they should make another round of great unis to sell next season. Change up the center court logos, change the court runners - but the floors are eye poison.
@@Mitch_Feral I said selling merch, not the floors. The different floors are about the branding of the tournament, because all of those highlights are easily distinguished from regular season highlights. They are even sold differently when buying a license to show/stream NBA games.
@@cjwrench07 The floors arent merch is my point, though. The teams are making money selling merch with the IST jersey branding; they can keep doing that, floors or no. The unis are an unmitigated success, everyone is happy. The floors have been met with broad negativity, both because they are ugly, and because the surface injured multiple players. Some folks like the floors - I think the vast majority of commentary about the IST suggests that ditching the floors will only improve things.
@@Mitch_Feral I agree the floors need improvement, but they will always be different is my point. They are a major part of IST’s branding so they’ll get is some input from players for improvement, but the separate colour scheme will stay no matter what.
The Trae Young stuff makes me laugh. No credibility, just media repeating each other. It's like they all want Trae Young on their home teams, but won't vote for him at All-star break.
That is how it works just one buzz at the all star game was all they had. Idk about you but if they plan on moving Trae or DJ. DJ has done nothing to justify being in Atlanta over Trae.
@@ajevans1422I think the logic is that Trae can get you a lot more value and the Hawks have been the definition of a mid team. They need to change things and maybe even make radical drastic decisions.
@@ajayjaggernauth8500 yeah in theory Trae should get you more but if you look at the hawks roster, they essentially have the DJ replacement in Kobe Bufkin that is not a bucket like DJ but is a better defender. DJ is essentially Jamal Murray but more ball dominant or George Hill on crack, you don’t build your team around Jamal Murray. DJ has had 20-5-5 games but his impact on the game is mostly not there. Atlanta has construction issues but Trae is a guy you build your team around, he impacts the game as the engine of an offense and he has carried this team to a run.
apparently orlando is trying to get Dlo as well this offseason. who knows how that rotation would work. maybe clay and cole coming off the bench for dlo and suggs starting?
@@willjackson4354I hate him as a person and kind of as a player too but he’s a good shooter who can space the floor. That’s night and day different from Fultz. I might prefer Grayson Allen over Klay tho
Aside from Sengun, all the others you mentioned are the victims of their own contracts. They are famous and super highly paid. Too highly paid to be desirable for any team to want to acquire them. I wouldn't want to be a fan of any team that gets Thompson, Draymond, Young, or Harden. Their return is not worth the cost. This is the hangover of their previous success. Sengun and, to a lesser degree, Mitchell, are still young enough to be worth pursuing (unless they completely disrupt your present team in the process). Wiggins is okay, but just being okay has always been Andrew's problem. Had he not been the number one pick, his level of play would be much more tolerated. He was a "star" for Golden State simply because he is better than your typical fourth option on a team. The problem is, he has always been paid like a #1 option.
That article about Sengun is terrible. Trade Sengun and picks for Devin Booker, why not trade Jalen Green whose role is similar to Devin Booker. Golden State has nothing for Rockets, Bulls thing is Derozan is similar to Devin Booker why not trade Jalen again but Derozan is old why do it at all. Only Trae Young makes sense a bit which is still stupid. Also the article has Alperen's name written with a typo so...
the fact that sengun is in brookyln jersey in the thumbnail is so clickbaity. there is no chance sengun would be traded to the nets if traded at all. the rockets own brooklyns future pics and swaps why would they help them get better?
honestly this season is the best chance for rockets to get in play in and not next year because year memphis will be back, spurs will have to improve, lakers and warriors always in the play in so this season is the best chance for rockets
@Sporting Logically Brotha, be a Rockets fan until new ownership hits BKN! Honestly feel bad for BKN fans due to organizations past decisions. Hopefully y'all get a good GM one day.
I mean I don't think you can even really blame the nets front office this time that much like maybe they traded slightly too much for harden but the harden trade was a logical decision to make atleast it's somewhat defensible unlike the pierce/KG deal because ultimately you can't predict how disastrously wrong the KD/Kyrie/Harden big 3 would go due to injuries + the ego of Kyrie and Harden causing so many issues it was a unmanageable situation (maybe you could predict the ego issues but not to the degree they happened but the sheer amount of injuries couldn't be predicted)
@@oliverparrish5470 The Harden trade was certainly comprehensible, and objectively more promising long-term due to Harden, Irving, and Durant still being in their prime; however, was really referring to the KG, and Pierce trade -- where it resulted in Boston receiving Brown and Tatum; and the most recent proposal from Houston, -- where BKN rejected a package around Green and their draft rights back from the Harden trade. BKN's front office generally just doesn't make the best decisions; more often they make ones that cripple their future, which must be infuriating for a Nets fan .
I really wish people would stop trying to break up the Rockets. Did people say hey let's trade Kareem because Magic is coming along or let's trade Shaq at his prime as soon as Kobe clicked or Pippen when Jorden became a superstar? Makes absolutely no sense at this point. Some fans are pissed that they missed out on Sengun and try to create these make-believe scenarios 🙄
Is there really that much of a Trae Young market? I mean sure someone will want him, but does anyone want to give up a big enough haul to make it worth it to Atlanta?
As a Hawks fan, I didn't like the trade of Luka for Trae and while I respect his talent, I've never loved his style of play. I actually enjoy watching the team more with Dejounte as the focal point instead of Trae. I don't know what they could get for Trae, though. I'd like to see them get some future first round picks to make up for those they lost in the Dejounte trade.
Ah yeah Dejounte Murray leading a sub .500 team to a sub .500 record. Let’s trade Trae Young. DJ is solid but nowhere near the engine Trae is. The only person that will get Trae Young out of Atlanta is Trae Young.
The rockets brass have been historically lower on sengun then the rest of the league/players since his sophomore year so I expect him to be moved this off-season
Off the court, Trae don't got an ego. And even when hes got an ego on the court, he's still the definition of a team player. Don't know where this stupid narrative is coming from.
Trae Young gets traded to the Spurs for Picks and matching salary Donovan Mitchell goes to the Magic or Spurs(No Tax State) Klay gets a good deal from the 76ers after they get rid of Hield at SG Sengun gets traded during the summer for a Big Name and late round draft picks(something like Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson and picks)
It would be much worse trade due to Sengun is already considered a future star -- where Harden was seen as a potential borderline star and elite 6th man.
1:35 he definitely takes 4 steps … he picks up the ball ..resets his feet with two quick steps to the side ..then takes two big steps to the basket… it’s crazy how much he gets away with traveling… 🧳
@@lenzoltanit’s the play before 1:35. I hit the timestamp wrong. He’s at the top of the key…. He steps around the defender and then takes two steps to the hoop. The same way Harden used the step back, defenders tend to freeze up because they think it’s a travel🤷♀️ The allowance of “gather steps” is where the discrepancy is. Calling steps after dribbling stops by a different name in order to allow 3-4 steps instead of 2.
@@lenzoltanthe play I’m referring to is at the top of the key Vs. Turner. He definitely picks up the ball steps to the side and then takes two steps down the lane.. watch it in slow motion and it’s definitely a travel
