The NEC CLASSIC CAR SHOW 2023 

The halls at the NEC Classic Car Show 2023 (or "Classic Motor Show" to give it its proper name) were rammed with an amazing collection of vintage & classic cars, motorcycles and several wonderful old commercial vehicles, not least the stunning National Benzole Mixture Austin K-series tanker shown in this Old Classic Car video's thumbnail.
The NEC Classic Car Show is one HUUUGEE indoor event, and as with previous shows I've been to at the NEC in Birmingham, I spent the day photographing as many old cars as I could (well over 900 photos) and then whittled that set down to just over 300 images which make up this video. I did wonder about doing a walkaround video but a) it would have run on for hours and b) this way I can feature just the cars that I want to, skipping those that aren't a match for the channel. Also the background noise in the halls is very noticeable once it gets busy, another reason I chose to cover the 2023 NEC classic car show this way. A regular walk & talk vid would have been a lot quicker to put together though!!
There were many highlights - don't miss the fabulous trio of Austin woodies on the Austin Counties Car Club stand, the 1000bhp Sunbeam land speed record car of 1927, the FIAT 126P and Renault 4 pickups, Graham Hill's Lotus Elan +2, Lloyd Alexander, Scootacar, 1959 Morris Oxford Traveller, barn find Rover 10 and BMW 20002ti, Sunbeam Venezia x2, Wolseley Mudlark, Peugeot 504 Break Riviera, Ford Zephyr ute, 1949 SAAB 92 prototype, Austin A40s a-plenty, AC Greyhound, the first Triumph 2000, Panther Rio and Solo, 1954 Kaiser Darrin, and a super-rare Singer SM1500 saloon car. All in all, an astonishing gathering of classic cars to savour, hopefully this video which features just a percentage of all the cars that were at the NEC, give a good flavour of what turned up.
If you plan to visit the NEC Classic Car Show in future - bring good shoes, and plan your route if there are specific clubs and stands you really want to visit.
