An overall random question but do you guys find it difficult sometimes to watch movies or tv because all you can think about is how it was made in production? If that makes sense…Like the effects they might’ve used for certain scenes, camera angles etc
Forever furious that the Nickelodeon rejected the reboot. From the little bit that Devin described it, it sounds exactly like what the fans have been asking for: survival guide for adulthood. It's the natural direction without it being weird or forced. I'm 32. I haven't watched reboots of my childhood/adolescence shows, but I would 100% watch a Ned's reboot. "Not right now"????? When, when they're 40?!? THIS RIGHT NOW is the perfect time.
THIS!!! I feel like it had potential to be a cross between The Office (in terms of the environment/setting/tales to tell in a work environment) & Malcolm in the Middle (in terms of the environment like home, the area & tone) it could’ve even pulled in a lot of people that haven’t watched Ned’s. It’s literally the perfect time right now to tell a story with the trio navigating life in their early 30s and we could’ve seen the journey of getting their shit together while others around them already have it together, seeing Ned & Moze rekindling their friendship and then romance, and seeing them actually be a couple, and even seeing their lives change near the end of the series with them starting a family and Cookie becoming a CEO by the end after struggling all throughout the series. I hate that Nick turned it down and won’t let them buy it. I’m gonna be extremely pissed if they’re only keeping it to reboot it as a legacy kids show where they’re teachers and there’s a new trio of kids or if it’s about Ned & Moze’s kids in high school or something (I wouldn’t hate that, but I first want to see Ned’s Adult Survival Guide, after that series ends they could do the second reboot where it’s about their kids or something)
I'm sure there's a demographic for as show, but personally I think these types of discussion-oriented content are what I actually want. There's been reboots of shows I used to watch, but I honestly never really bother to stick with them. I maybe watch one ep, go "that's nice", and then tune out. Like, as an adult, I'm less about seeing the laughs or the conflicts of a conventional show, and more about hearing what the people have to say from their life experience cause it's honestly so refreshing and sometimes surprising.
I remember it was around 2017, I decided to rewatch the show and after I did I went on a "where are they now" spree, kinda thing. I remember reading something about how the pitch he had at first was Ned actually stepping up as the new science teacher and passing on his survival guide to a new generation of students and maybe having some focus on the life of the faculty too. It seemed pretty interesting at the time, but like they stated themselves, Nick doesn't seem to have much of an interest for any live-action property that wasn't handled by Schneider
@@jadedheartsz Oh yeah yeah yeah, I remember that too. I'm just saying, even past the point where a sequel series or spinoff would have made sense, it seems like the people involved have been trying to get something off the ground for a while. And it doesn't even seem like this pitch they talked about recently is the same one he was talking about 5 years ago.
The golden era is correct, I watched shows like Ned's Declassified constantly. Tons of laughs and fun watching those shows. Love seeing them together again.
nah those corporations have ruined enough of the old TV shows... a reboot just destroys the good nostalgia of them.... almost every single reboot has been complete trash recently...
@@brithevirgo I'm so sad that it all went like that, i would've loved to see those two make a podcast and get that chemistry back, but then Drake had to fall off as hard as he did, ruining everything, Josh acts like he didn't exist now
Ned has the same face but def older and Moze looks exactly the same, but the nerdy friend guy is fiiiiine af and totally different. And he is even more fine after hearing him talk
I used to watch this show every day after school, it's so neat to see Devon, Daniel and Lindsey reunite. I'm crossing my fingers for a potential reunion or spin off down the line!
I've been binge watching Christy's youtube channel, Wizards of Waverly Pod & Neds Declassified Pod for the last week lol. I am a very nostalgic person so I love Disney+ and just listening to everyone you bring on the channel talk about their experiences
I’m really glad Christy followed up with Daniel at the end re: did you have a good childhood on set. Prompting him again so that he could share his experience with micro aggression (the weird internet thing). You could tell he had something more to say & she made sure to check in ❤
I totally relate to Devon. I was vegan/vegetarian for a while. But I began struggling financially to the point hunger kicked in and I could only afford a McDonald's burger. People don't realize this, but veganism can be an expensive dietary choice, especially if you don't have many other stores that offer vegan varieties around you. It also takes a lot of time and dedication.
Some of the cheapest foods are vegan. Pb&j, beans and rice, pasta, etc. Burger King has carried a vegan burger for years now. You don’t have to get the expensive vegan subs, but even those are becoming easier to get.
I love how Daniel is so surprised by the questions Christy asks, like "My favorite word?!" I've never thought about that. "When did I learn to read??" This is nothing like any interview I've had before! What is this podcast?
@@Xeroforte Actually, they were really smart questions, designed to ease them into the podcast format, opening up and relaxing with simple personal questions, nothing too deep. They felt comfortable for when the heavier topics do come up.
@@Xeroforte No opposite, lol. It was good because he went to pursue education and it placed importance on how he got interested in the field he studied as if it was asking an actor about their first play or first favorite movie. It valued his stuff with the entertainment stuff which he may have had less to talk about with.
Nostalgia being a strong medicine in the storm that is all this anxiety and stress the world gives us, cannot be understated. We look back on nostalgia because not only does it make us feel good, but we know what to expect. Compared to this world shenanigans and ish be flying in left and right. These 4 I would just love to just hang out with. Chill, forget the fame and fortune. Everyone here keeping it real.
this engagement between them, especially Christy after being an avid Kim Possible AND Ned's Declassified fan... has me so happy. it's pure nostalgia, thank you for getting together!!!! 🥺
I’m assuming once the rewatch of Ned’s is done. Lindsey Daniel and Devon will start having guests on their show because their chemistry is so good they can continue to podcast long after the premise of rewatching Ned’s for nostalgia has run its course
This brought me so much joy! Man I would LOVE for Devon’s pitch to happen, fingers crossed they come back around or they can sell it to a different network. I would watch the hell out of that
I remember seeing commercials for neds declassified and feeling like this show was made for kids like me. It was such a comfort show to watch, and I think it was so important in how the writers handled the personalities of the characters. Everyone had dimension, it really examined stereotypes and flipped them upside down.
Hey, us English majors don’t correct people all the time! Oh wait... shoot... Love seeing them all back together. Awesome that a Ned’s podcast is happening.
I LOVE this! So happy the Ned's crew is doing their own podcast. They brought my best friends and I closer in middle school--we even had our own Killer Bees (IYKYK). Now that my best friend has passed Way, I still have those memories to look back on. Thank you.
We hear so many stories about how awful sets are for kids. It's so, so refreshing to hear all three of them reflecting positively on the show, the experience, and the creators
As an English major (BA & MA), we’re taught to let people use their own Englishes and not do the uppity, grammar nazi thing. I think that stereotype comes from a dying generation of English teachers. A lot of today’s English majors who don’t go into education aren’t taught much grammar at all 😂 they’re taught primarily literary analysis or technical or creative writing. Half the time when people ask me grammar questions I just say I’m not a linguist so idk.
Yes, I remember it was early 2020 and I sent in a video to Devon wherein I gave reasons why we loved Ned’s. He acknowledged the video I sent and I was so excited bc even tho he never said what it was for, I felt it was for a reboot pitch (and I was correct !!). So I was excited and was hoping it would happen but then we got the bad news
Kim possible got a revival movie live action with sadie stanley and sean giambrone since christy and ron are adults so since its live action they cant do it.
I dont think Kim possible needs a reboot. It pretty much ended on a finale with all the characters having their arcs wrapped up. Theres no real story to tell at this point.
@Hannibal Rasberry wow, I didn't realize characters just stopped growing and evolving at the age of 18, fuck thanks for the news that's great to learn, guess I can stop striving to change and grow since I'm over the age of 18. I guess when Ron and Kim went to college just nothing happened, there were no new temptations or angles of their relationships they had to deal with. Amazing how people story just ends because they graduated high school /s
@@Scribz1212 Ask yourself something, what story is there left ? Where exactly do you see their characters going at this point ? The reality of the matter is, the arcs of the characters have concluded. Theres not much else you can do with them. Kim Possible was always meant to be a coming of age story. And that age has come and passed. 🤷🏾♂️
I remember first watching Neds Survival Guild when I first started middle school. It helped me a lot when I watched it as a kid. Much love for you guys and thank you
Podcasts like these hit different in so many ways, makes you appreciate the golden era we lived through with the nostalgia of it.. but also feels odd knowing theyve grown up meaning we have too
I’m so sad they rejected the reboot. Out of all the Nick shows, Ned’s is the one that makes the most sense to bring back. I know the iCarly reboot is doing fine, but even as a fan I didn’t really see a point to bring it back (same thing with Zoey). Ned’s thesis would be so cool to see updated to todays audience and cast. Common Nickelodeon L to purposely leave out the one non-toxic show they had 🙄
I never knew I needed a Kim possible/Ned’s declassified podcast. Chemistry was so good I watched the whole video😂💯 makes me happy to see them doing good, they fam fasho
this warmed my heart, i am looking forward to watching them. i had a hard time during Jr high and i honestly think the show kept me from hurting myself
They're looking great growing up! I've watched Ned’s Declassified for a long time and am happy they got back together: I couldn't wait to hear more from their own podcast. ❤❤
I enjoyed this one! It was like hanging out with old friends. I used to watch Even Stevens and Ned's Declassified on repeat as a kid! So many great memories of watching those shows.
on the topic of podcasts at 26:27, i like listening but i'm like lindsey where i need a visual. i'm a visual person! but what i often do with podcast videos like this one is that ill have it on in the background, and then i'll glance from time to time. so... it's a bit of both, haha! but not 100% only watching or listening.... just both at the same time :')
What bothers me the most is that it seems the shows that are getting reboots and the support do not have the same wholesomeness as Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. Correct me if I’m wrong but it was one of the only shows I cannot recall suggestive jokes like the gross content from Dan productions.
I love how Daniel has a degree in language, and I have NO IDEA what he's talking about. And how their producer took care of them. I'm lucky enough to say the same about my general manager; in retail, which is even more rare.
I remember being in 5th grade and I literally had a notebook that I remember I wrote all the tips to prepare for middle school! Great podcast! Excited to watch theirs 😊
In a world full of grown ups, insane people & gross poop stories… Ned Bigby, that’s me & my 2 best friends try to do the impossible; create a guide that will help you survive adulthood.
Loved the show and the cast and glad it's gotten the recognition it deserves over the years Back when Nickelodeon was going through their rebuild unfortunately it sandwiched in between a bunch of shows like Drake & josh
All four of these people are so very interesting it's so crazy. Hollywood "ate them up and spit them out" yet they're here on the other side as seasoned adults; these are positive examples of adjusted Millennials... at least on the surface 😅
Dan Schneider still gets paid for the reboots they are owned by his production company he wrote most all of it with his other weirdo friends and unfortunately they let him go in public because of the rampant allegations coming out but to think hes not getting paid for that is insane. He made like 10 mil off the icary reboot alone. He still collects royalties. And he himself is still worth upwards of like 60 million id say more now. The only Person who could take him down at this point is Jaimie Lynn
Love seeing them together❤ I watched nickelodeon all the time and still love a lot of their old shows but the more time goes on the more they piss me off. I'd much rather have a Neds reboot than a zoey 101 reboot. It really pisses me off too that they won't do it but they also won't give up the rights so they can go elsewhere.
@@pleaseshutup7053 They all do, it’s just biology. Everyone’s voice changes as they age. It is usually deeper, unless they have voice issues than it could be somewhat raspy sounding or a higher pitch due to voice coaching. Some people have to change their voice for health reasons. ✌🏼😃 God bless you everyone. 🙏🏼❤️
The vibes of nostalgia are strong & present. Christy you are so amazing as are Lindsey, Devon & Daniel. This is such a gift. God bless you everyone. 🙏🏼❤️✌🏼
