He could however respond or at least like a comment here and there from time to time. Also I wrote him a couple of emails about something I was interested in. No response. And I get it, we're all busy. But it wouldn't hurt to show some interest and appreciation here and there.
Same here! I think this is the first new video from him since I found the channel. Great content, isn't it? I would love to see a full day live stream from them.
The classic "I know you gotta make money" and then they want top dollar. You want top dollar, go through the trouble of selling it yourself to the end user.
If you can sell it new open box on ebay then it's as good as new, at least on that selling platform. I have done so many times. If they've truly never been worn then they can be sold as such. Yes, resale is always going to be higher with original packaging. And as to them being stolen. People get boots, shoes and everything else under the sun like that all the time at yard and estate sales without the boxes. It's very common to see if you're a reseller.
Awesome to hear about Ruby! I should have given you more credit Pete! I want to apologize. She was just really squaking in the last one and I could tell you were getting frustrated. Getting frustrated doesn't mean getting rid of her. So again Awesome to hear and she's a great addition.
You know when Pete asks a customer how much they want for something and they stare off at their item with the look of longing, they're gonna say something crazy 😂
Great episode, the chap with the trumpets made a fatal mistake giving you the price he wanted, you 100 percent would have gone more, I could feel Peters heart dancing with joy at the price, but always to remember to look disappointed but shake his hand and agree to the price like you helping him out, amazing stuff, oh and Kevin doing great work also in this episode, he drank coffee and swatted a fly, give the man a raise
The description he had about subscribing in respect to the RU-vid algorithm was spot on. It is because in my perspective that Peter has a logical mindset which he exemplifies in his negotiations and success in business. You can apply logic to many things to explain things more correctly or improve outcomes. Underappreciated trait.
WOW Ruby is 51 years old?! I forgot how long they can live. That's truly amazing and what a well loved bird. I hope she has many more great years with you!
Absolutely love to see the love and bond you and Ruby have together!! It was great hearing you confirm that her days at the shop are not numbered. As a fellow bird owner, I totally understand the frustration they can cause at times.
The wind-up, vibrating safety razor was reputed as being "a lady's best friend" back in the 1930s -1940s. The razor unintentionally started a brand new niche market which need not be named. On a different note, did you know that squirrels actually only remember where 20% of their hidden cache of nuts were buried? ...so squirrels are actually planting trees. 🤯
I found your channel randomly. I am so glad I did. And I subscribed instantly. I have watched over 40 videos so far; I have learned a lot from you. Thank you for keeping the videos simple and not having sponsors take up 5 minutes of our time, like some other channels do. I have a feeling I will end up ordering an RC or something from you in the future. I am editing this as I watch lol. Micro machines were way smaller than the one's he had, I know bc I still have mine from the 90s, I also have Cool Tools; kids tool set. RC's, computers, any gaming, toys action figures, trading cards, I love those things and I work on pc's and rc's all the time at home.
No matter what anyone can say, a man who loves his pets as much as Pete, can't be all that bad. Keep your videos coming I have been a subscriber for years and tell everyone to watch and subscribe.
I'm surprised by how unrealistic some people are - expecting full retail price? How entitled are these people? Nobody cares how much you have into the item.
Nothing wrong with shooting for the stars lol. However, if you're selling your items to a known re-seller you can't expect much...but that also doesn't mean it's right for the re-seller to screw over the customer. The customers should be educated on what the items are worth as well that they are selling
@@TheBridgesYouBurn well that’s why I like watching Pete he doesn’t just laugh them off and say no and let it be at that. He takes the time to explain the nuance of common sense. I wish I had that much patience with people lol. Hi fellow RE and reseller enjoyer 😃
PS: I played trumpet and that guy had no idea what he was talking about. That blue one is junk. The mouthpieces are worth a little $$ if in good condition.
I own an electronics store in Kentucky. Car audio, gaming computers, game systems and everything in between. I understand everything this man goes through lol
Good call during the intro, I thought I subscribed because I always see your videos at the top of my feed and have been watching for awhile. Double checked after the intro and was surprised I wasn’t subscribed. Just subscribed today. Thanks for the great content!
why are so many people buying brand new things and NOT using them - then head to the trading post??? it doesn't make sense. that guy with TWO new pairs of boots - 300$ he paid and never wore them once?.......and he says he doesn't have the boxes?.....none of that sounds right to me.
Hi Peter and Team. I absolutely love watching your channel. I have learnt so much from watching. I live in Australia soooo wish you would come over here and open a store. Ali xxx
So glad you show cased that shaver. Any idea how much you now want for it. I collect shavers, have about 40. Never seen what you have ? Love your show....
You’ll still probably make a little money on the instruments but he was upselling them like crazy that blue trumpet is $119.99 branddd new and the others probably around the same
He sure spoke with confidence. It was a long time ago when I was in school bands, but back then I never once saw a cornet (“coronet”) in person - not in seven years of orchestra, jazz, and marching bands. Maybe things are different in Chicago. 😬
400 bucks on the instruments was a solid deal. i appreciate how honest you are with everyone when they come in pete believe me id have made so many more deals if the reseller were just more honest with me. im about 2hrs from your shop ill be up there eventually and ill drop you off some goodies to sell.
12:00 Those no name brand mini compressor/inflators are not reliable. I had one which burnt out after the third or fourth use. I had to then fork out decent money for a Milwaukee one.
Amazing that people think they can sell stuff for the same price they bought it for. Did yellow shirt guy seriously not even think about the fact that the store has to make money? Mind boggling.
Really don't feel the need to sub anymore, I still check my sub feed every now and then and haven't seen a single video it missed I was interested in for a very long time now But just for you here's +1 sub
Subscriptions are one of the ways Pete's channel generates revenue so it really is important to the channel to subscribe. I make sure I also like all of his videos because that helps the channel as well.
Been here for 8 years! Cant believe its been that long. Never missed a video. How much life has happened on both sides of the camera and screen is bitter sweet. Go forth and prosper!
I work in the refining industry, so guy with the steel Toes , I know he was regretting coming in there. 😂 I know Pete’s game, but I also know you could throw those steel toes on marketplace and get $150 a piece easily, maybe $120 to sell quicker. Basically gave Pete the Stihl and model car for free🤣 I know Pete has to make money. But some things I just wouldn’t take into the flea market for money. Too easy to sell on your own.
love how some people still dont understand how a "buy and sell" store works, and ask peter stuff like "this is like 100 bucks new...how about 100 bucks? i dont want to loose money on it"
Dam Pete the person who told you that they don't need to subscribe because they watch your videos aren't real fans. The point of subscribing is also to help the channel grow. ❤
On youtube the subs matter way more then the views. Everyone give a quick sub to peter and his employees. He goes above and beyond. Owning a business and still editing and uploading content
Been a sub for a long time i remember when i came across your videos it was wen u went to buy sum old apple laptops the bird pooping should be a thing in this channel
In this economy, will vintage collectables ever sell again on ebay? It fell off so hard. Is it worth holding for a future market if capable, or dump it all for cheap loss while possible?
If you want normie regards to pay normie regard prices you need to keep up. Create some sort of social media page advertising only your vintage items. eBay is a place for deals not a place to window shop junk. And if someone is looking for something specific they will go on eBay but still expect to get a deal. You should be selling to antique stores if you don’t/can’t sell it.
As a collector I would like to bring a collection into a shop like this just to see what was thought, but as a collector I can never sell. I'd bring in my Great Eastern Cutlery knives and want $30,000.
Expects Pete to pay full retail plus fees! These people are insane. Had to bust out the calculator for 110 + 26 😂 so confidently thinks he’s about to get 136 what a joke
Please don't pick on your "non subscribers" they will come around in due time. I think close to a half a million subs is a dream for many RU-vid channel content creators. (Count your blessings)
