From Wiped Out!, (2015), The Beach by The Neighbourhood
Back again with another one!! The Beach has always been one of my favourite NBHD songs that gets me in the feels. From the depressive undertones to the bone-chilling melodic riff, this song is pure raw emotion. Easily one of my favourites from Wiped Out! and I look forward to covering more from this album.
I had a lot of fun shaping this guitar tone. After covering Daddy Issues, I found some similarities between the two sounds. Both songs have a very faint, dirty, heavy reverb, and muddiness to their sounds that can be difficult to capture and make them challenging to learn. I think I’ve finally dialed in that true Neighbourhood tone😎 If you would like to follow my personal music, follow me @StevenBanasMusic all things social media
