For me this is easily one of the most memorable scenes in video games for me. It's funny how robot bill a character you only know for a couple of minutes can have a sadder demise then aeris from FF7. It's just over kill that willy is also killed in the process. I think it's because the animation is so smooth that the characters are just believable. And Bills reaction to bear is strangely human. It's cool how it can be comical and sad at the same time. such a great game.
I like how the game's atmosphere changes after this cutscene.Everytime I play the game and it gets to this part I have that "ok,now the stakes are rised" feeling
Not to mention the point where Klogg solidifies his credibility as the Main Antagonist at that point. Heck, the notes in that room beneath the Nursery get changed to taunting ones from him, complete with a change of music too (from WIllie's "Dum Dum Dum Doi" track right to Klogg's "Lowdie Lowdie Lowdie Low Low" bit), just to hammer it in that things aren't the same from here on out.
@@axualkubbur4004 Okay there’s being an exact copy, and then there’s forcing the player to hear a baby cry while doing a boring minigame SEVERAL TIMES IN A ROW
Sorry to be so offtopic but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
This 7 minute cutscene is packed with so much charm, emotion and gut punches, there's absolutely zero excuse that 11 minute TV episodes, 2 hour movies or 60 hour long games can't do the same.
@@belofost Not 31 yet... But the same. The guy making the music for this game is the type that literally seem like they put their very soul into what they do.
IS THAT WHAT HE'S SAYING?! I have always wondered, thought he said some jibberish like "Mibeo" haha. Always loved the way it sounds though and now I know what he's actually saying, wooh!
I've seen this animation so many times that I saw a fail when they did it : at 5:52 BIL opens the door. At 6:08 klayman gets out of bil and the door is open. At 6:11 THE DOOR IS CLOSED ! and BIL re-opens it Fail XD
:D yeah lil' fail . I've been noticing such things in video clips after many views as well . Hell , I've made one clip 9 years ago and I've noticed such mistake just few months ago
I spotted that as a kid, always seemed weird to me but I guess they wanted the dramatic effect of the door opening right in front of Klaymen. There's also an error in the pulling of the pin scene, the half of the Neverhood that WASN'T attached to the chain and pin is the side that starts moving when the pin is pulled. Surely it should be the side held by the chain that closes in once it's released? That one bothered me the most as a kid.
@@EhrenCG yeah, that one also bothered me. Especially because the bit with the two tree halves joining together doesn't seem to follow the correct movement of the halves.

A teď si představ, co by se dělo, kdyby robot Bil nepadnul a všichni napadli Kloga.. :D Takový alternativní ending by byl popiči :D now imagin, what could happen if robot bil and willie didnt die. That alternative ending could be interisting.. :D
I just watched a play through of this game yesterday. I am impressed by the ability to make me love and then grieve over a character in a little over 5 minutes.
when i was i kid and when i had my windows 95 computer i used to play the demo of this i always got scared because how they made it but now it's funny as hell!!!
This was my favorite game back in 2012 when I was 2 years old and I still play this game and cry after this scene and also when the head of that teddy bear was gone also was my childhod
Yeah, that was a vibe. To play this masterpeace with your parents when you are still going to the gindergarten. I remember that I was litteraly thinking about this game in the gindergartan. WHEN I WAS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD
OMG this game is so under appriciated XD i know ONE person Other than myself that knew about it an now i spam e-mails with these youtube vids, thanks so much for uploading the =3
I was 10 when I got this game, I cried at the bit where Bil and Wille fall into the void (it's sad, c'mon) I didn't complete the game until 5 years later. (and I kick myself for throwing out the original game box). The game is original, but I found it too linear, it's more of a mildly-interactive story than a proper adventure game, which is why I'm hesitant to call it an awesome game.
A person with no experience piloting the robot, the robot falls down, the robot becomes sentient, the robot kicks on the monster and beats the crap out of it.... please tell me this sounds familiar. tho I love this scene
