TheLU83 Yeah I can’t believe it. Kia and Hyundai where ugly back in the days now. They are seriously making me think about getting one. But then again all the soccer moms will be driving it soon
@Random Autonomous Drone Pilot All you have to do is Google it. It's right there! While you're at it, check out Honda's 1.5 liter engine with oil dilution issues.
It a damn shame that Honda and Toyota have been in this game for years and Kia completely embarrass them in style. This is one sick looking sedan. Thumps up Kia!
I wrote off Kia for a long time but after starting to look for my next car I began leaning towards getting an Optima. It has aggressive features that gives it a sporty feel, is loaded with great technology, has low road noise and all at a great price. I'm really impressed with what Kia is doing!
@@Nobody-tr2dj in the UK a BMW 3 or a Mercedes C will cost about the same as this Kia, at £34k ish. I've no problem with the price as the KIA is a quality car but as their quality has increased so have their prices, they are not cheap.
For real, i remember in 2009 seeing an Optima on the road and saying "I would never get a Kia..." Then I saw Griffin dunk over an Optima and I bought one the following year... I was looking into a Charger Scat Pack, but I'm debating between the Stinger and the upcoming Optima N series (or what ever is called).
@@tavo3234 haha buddy... I spent a year over the same debate. I was eyeballing an SRT 392 and CTS-V. But with the winters here... I wanted AWD. Ended up with the Stinger and it's completely surprised me with how much I love it
I’ve heard they hired Audi’s previous head design engineer or something and judging by this interior and this back lights, I see a lot of Audi DNA in there
@@jay-uo2bi I don't buy it. I find Mercedes interiors aren't all that in terms of creativity. Yes, they're mostly high quality. But this car has a different presentation and feel than Mercedes. In the auto industry, they all are going to have trend and you'll see some things that may remind you of other cars. But combined together, the Optima is its own car.
@@Seelh ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ🤣😂 How do u know that?? u r baby. u can't drive a car. I can't understand your opinion. First of all hyundai and kia's quality, durability is higher than most Japanese car. According to usa jd power's survey genesis's durability is higher than lexus www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2020-us-vehicle-dependability-study
I'M THE MAN Mercedes Benz look like Nissan? No, come on. Mercedes Benz is more luxury and more expensive than Nissan. Nissan is great too like the 350z and GTR
well, according to the latest JD Power ratings, Kia and Hyundai are toe-to-toe with BMW and Audi and are a couple ranks above Mercedes when it comes to reliability (they actually beat the German 3 in the 2018 rankings) with BMW’s obsession using plastics instead of hard-wearing materials in its cars and Audi & Mercedes’ constant push for new electronic equipment, it will just be a matter of time before the Koreans are out there battling it out with Toyota/Lexus/Porsche at the top oh, and Kia/Hyundai has been beating the American marques for years for reliability
But they still have nice high quality interiors and the honda accord is always the top of the class in regards to safety, reliability, interior space MPG , handling , resale value .
Toyota is trying but they're overdoing it. Honda interiors could use a bit more pizazz. Not immature pizazz, but something more interesting than what they are doing now. I like Mazda's interiors. I like how they do minimalism.
Im an old Mopar man, first Mopar was Dodge Dart -65, i had that car about 1972 or something, then - 71 Challenger and after that -71 Barracuda! And now i have a Kia Sportage! But i allways remeber my old Mopar cars with love!
i have a 2018 optima s. i really like the changes to the exterior and suttle changes to interior. like slightly bigger infotainment, more digitals on the dash and wider armrest / center console. good stuff kia!
KIA is definitely stepping up the ante, 10 years Engine warranty ad designer flaw, with design are tweaked with continental flaw and speaker cover in sheep clogging, I bet it's blessed to own one.
I'm so happy that our country brands are now having great rating :) Yes, I agree that 80's hyundai are cheap cars that quality is not very good, but nowdays Hyundai and Kia are known as pretty nice brands with affordable price. Sry for my poor english, I'm Korean
Make your brands enter the exotic car scene by adding coupes and sports sedans to the line-up and pretty sure car enthusiasts and tuners would give your brands their love. Kia Stinger GT is a great start already.
KIA and Hyundai are taking the automotive market by storm. Their cars are getting really advanced nowadays and really good looking. Can't beat the warranty either.
Yeah, because you'll need every bit of it. There is a reason Honda and Toyota don't have to offer that kind of warranty, is that not obvious? If they had to they would offer then same warranty.
2001COUPE The days of Hyundai/KIA being cheap cars in the 80's and 90's are long gone. The Kona won North American Subcompact CUV of the year and the Hyundai Sante Fe is one of KBB's Top Buys. I've had a Hyundai and had zero issues.
@@2001COUPE erm what? How much sense does that make? Why would manufacturer offer a long-term warranty, if they knew that the car is going to break? They want to earn money and that's not how you do it. You offer a long warranty only when you know your product is solid. Or at least it's solid at places warranty covers.
Kia in Korea is holding out on the rest of the world. The Korean models are legit the best interiors you can get, the materials are even of a higher quality. Wow.
Rick Dawkins Even though they are sister brands. There’s nothing to compare, if one wins the race. So would the other! Kia is for the younger people and Hyundai is for the mid to older people! Both brands are awesome!!!
Both are great and are sister cars. It's up to the consumer to choose based on price in their country/trim they want to buy and which they prefer the design of. I like the really cool exterior of the Sonata but much prefer the interior of Optima and still really like the design of the Optima, it doesn't stand out as much but looks much more premium/expensive.
@Tristan HanI have a 2017 Q60 that the lease is up in November. I looked at the new Q60 it looks the EXACT same! Why would I get the same thing? I want a Kia K900. They're hard to find. May start talking to the Kia dealer now so they'll be ready for me in November!
We Are Collective Went to go inquire on a used 2019 Stinger and while test driving the salesperson told me that the 2020 is not going to be much different. The GT trims change a little but thats pretty much it.
@@misskia5810 nah, people wont change their opinion on KIA. They will never be seen as upscale brand just because they offer 'affordable' vehicles. I know so many people who refuse to buy KIA just because it's a "KIA". And once KIA starts charging more, people will still avoid buying KIA because they'd rather spend that money on vehicles with proven "status". Its dumb but that's reality.
Optima body with Sonata interior for me. But since that ain’t gon happen, give me the Optima. That LED lighting they have going on is SWEEEEEET. Plus I love their exhaust layout better than that on the sonata
