Honda invited us to test the new collection of bikes for the Year 2022.
Among them, the most requested NT1100 and many others like ADV 350, Gold Wing, CB 1000R, CBR650R, CBR500R, Africa Twin, NC750X, CB 500X, X-ADV 750, CB1000R (Black Edition), CB500F, Rebel 1100, Rebel 500.
Here are my first impressions about this scooter, a newcomer for the 2022 Honda Motorcycle Collection. After the succes of the X-ADV 750, Honda decided to make this ADV 350 to complete the city/off-road scooter that can get you through the town and why not outside the town.

Honda got it right , raised wider bars good feet forward and lock into backrest for twisties, once used to the CTV it works very well in power delivery. Surprisingly quick at junctions and roundabouts v usefull top speed 90mph cruises at 70. Looks bigger on the road bikers acknowledge you.its really rather good. And screen, perfect if you like riding.

Appart from plastics, dashboard, windshield, mirrors, handlebars and suspension, the ADV 350 and Forza 350 are the same thing. Same frame, same engine, same transmission, same wheel dimmensions, same brakes, same storage, same fuel tank, and electrical harness, etc. If the fork is better, I would say the non adjustable rear shocks on ADV are quite a step back. Honestly, I would prefer a Forza for lower seat and electric windshield, but also I like ADV for its design. Unfortunately, as for 2024, they changed the colour range. So, the red colour, which was more visible on road, and more pleasant for me, is gone.

Nice test! Its real advantage comes out on the poor quality road, not on the perfect race asphalt. :) Good controllability is, among other things, because the engineers put the cooler, fuel tank down. Good bike!

Hello, I'll give it soon another try on a real life roads, perhaps some gravel also. I just liked this bike : slim enough for struggling in the city traffic, very comfortable suspension, decent power.. I would've preferred a narrower 16 inch front wheel though

What is your feeling about CVT vs DCT? Can you post some feedback, pros vs cons and just general impression.

There are two totally different thinks. CVT usually it's used for scooters, the acceleration it's smooth and slow progressive, not brutal, it's maintenance free (no chain to lube) due to the belt, the engine brake does not exist or it's almost missing. The DCT it's a dual clutch automatic transmission, you get feedback when changing the gears, it's more fun when you get through the twisties, you have a good and fast engine brake. I would like the acceleration, the speed and power of a dct and the smoothness and maintenance free of the CVT belt transmission. Perhaps the cardan transmission it's a nice compromise I suppose.

DCT accelerates faster, CVT you need two full throttle twist to get to 60mph+ DCT better for higher speeds

Yes, I like the look of the ADV 350. I already have the Forza 350, but I’m thinking of swapping for the ADV next year. I’ve also just bought the new 500X which I collect next week after waiting 4 months here in the UK.

@@Borderman47 I like them both actually, the Forza is a great tourer, plus I like the instrument panel, but I like the look and style of the ADV a little bit more, although I’ve not seen one in the flesh yet. Maybe I’ll keep both!

Hello Ivan, I like the Yamaha 300 a friend has it looks great with lots of features. You have to make the price balance, and the 4 year Honda warranty see if it worth it. I like more the suspension from the ADV, it's a big plus. I don't like still the price from the Honda... More than 7000 EUR it's quite enormous for a... Scooter at the end.

To be honest the windscreen doesn't offers too much protection, there is quite a lot of buffeting, you can travel even with 50cc scooter but I would go with the ADV 350 on any roads except highways and national roads. Go for the secondary side roads

@2old4allthis I use my ADV150 to go long-distance riding! 4 hour highway drives. 4 hour general road drives. 2 hour mountain road drives. etc... ADV150 is perfect for me!

Nowadays scooters are more powerful than before, we can say that they are somehow hybrid bikes. According to our law anything that passes 50cc it's considered a motorcycle 😁

dude what a stupid thinking is that???so what the difference between scooters and bikes??? coz scooters are automatic are not considering bikes???so the automatic cars are not cars are 4 wheels scooters. the adv 750 have the option for full automatic and manual so when you are at full automatic you riding a scooter and when its not you riding a bike. dude all 2 wheels machines considering motor bikes and without machine are bikes 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂
