The NEW 2024 TaylorMade Qi10 Driver - Crazy Good? Or TOTAL DISASTER? 

After watching Rick's review on this lineup, he actually got as good of distance with the main driver as the LS but with a lot better accuracy overall. Would have rather seen some numbers on it and not just the Max and the LS.

great review James I think this years Driver lineup is gonna very competitive across the board will be tough to choose which brand to go with just wish the prices were not so outlandish 800-900 canadian for a driver is getting pretty steep cheers all from Vulcan Canada

good quality as usual, you should know me by now James lol never to put down just wonder if these tests could be better with bits added maybe get a 10hc and a20 hc to hit ten with theirs and then the new club , you could speed the footage keeping your vids the right time i know that might not be possible until released as your information is very detailed be nice for some average info like yes its more accurate and longer or not lol 😊something else i aways think is we see ball reviews and are told they wear, do clubs and would old for knew the same brand bring back strike distance etc

Yay! So i can find stealth 2 plus on ebay now :).

The Qi10 LS seems to sit flatter than the Stealth 2. This really helped toe shots when I tested it. Didn’t get that knuckle hook shot I’d seen before with the stealth. The lie angle could just be my imagination or the particular head I got to try though.

This club lives up to the hype. 2 rounds in on mine and off center shots perform amazingly. The feel is so good

That is very true about the face cracking it’s scary. I’ve been playing around 50 years and I’ve only cracked 1 face in all that time. Funny thing it was a T.M. Rocketblzz driver but having said that it was after about 4 years of play.

Only swung Callaway drivers since started golfing (x2hot) then Maverik and rogue last model. I am getting fitted for this excited to see how it does and the price.

Definitely looks better than the stealth 2. Will have to check it out as I am in the market this season.

When you said that you'd show the numbers, well, mostly you didn't. Only 2 of the 13 or 14 strikes showed total, carry and 1 shoed offset and they didn't stay on the screen long enough to actually "get them". When you do a club review I liked everything you did in the course but would loved to have seen offset, ball and club speed and so forth. It "looked" like every shot went way left - true?

Will you be comparing with all the other brand releases ? Found it interesting that the ping spin rate was massively lower than the taylormade.

Will you test the Takoma driver and fairway woods?

More forgiveness is great. Other than that there does seem to be that much difference between all the big brands. All down to personal preference and a good fitting. Sure the TM's will sell well.

James, I tested the keratin was on track to replace my original stealth driver chose the Callaway AI smoke triple diamond the Callaway got me into longer distances more consistently than the TeleMed. James I’ve been watching your videos for at least three years now. It does seem a little alarming, but you’ve put on quite a few extra pounds concerned for your health

what was the highest MIO on previous drivers?

Nelly has been using the max going for a fitting with in the next week or so. Ready to pull the trigger on new driver. Been using my sldr and it’s money so hopefully one of these beat that if not keeping the sldr. Only thing I don’t like is that it sounds like I’m hitting an Easton baseball bat.

It's actually 10,000 MOI, or 10,000g/cm2 (also expressed as 1g/m2). One of the ways that TaylorMade got the MOI higher on the Max version is that it is a little shorter, making the head a little close to the axis of rotation of the club. The same shaft length in a QI10 or QI10LS will sit lower (shorter) in the Max head, by design. The MOI of these clubs will vary; a taller golfer will present an axis of rotation that is farther away from the club head than say, someone of James' stature, which would make the MOI for the taller person lower than for the shorter one. (The axis of rotation for a golf swing has to be at the shoulder or at the neck of the golfer swinging the club, so r2 is going to be the length of the arms/stance plus the shaft length, plus the height of the club from the heel.) 10,000g/cm2 sounds a lot bigger than when you reduce it by 10,000 (10,000 cm2 per m2). It's marketing, of course, but it also should demonstrate the effects of a very small amount of mass added or removed from a club head connected to a shaft 1.2 meters long.

I still got the sim 2 max it's time to upgrade and one of them new Beautiful heads with a new shaft in my bag here soon but not yet it's cold and got some snow in ohio 😢😢😢😢😢

James, love the content! If you’re continually missing the middle of the club face you may want to have it fitted a half inch shorter. Usually gets great results

It looks better than the stealth and from what I can tell sounds better. I was just never a fan of the red face and felt like it was a step backward in TaylorMade's reputation for quality drivers

So TaylorMade say the new face secures better to the head, an acknowledgment of a design fault in the Stealth? Seems like in light of all the faces falling off the Stealth. MOI at 10,000 in the max, Stealth max was 8500, and that’s the MOI of the LS version in the Qi10. All of this renders the Stealth well and truly redundant, resale value? Suspect it will drop like a stone and all the residual stock in retailers, good luck with that. The obsession with annual release rather than bi annual, means redesign for redesigns sake, this might be the first real improvement since the SIM

One thing, I love the head covers 😍 would be happy "upgrading" from Stealth2😅 probably won't be upgrading from my Callaway 2014 driver 😁

Having been interested in golf club releases over the years I think those new to golf might reflect before spending £500 on a club this might be the most forgiving ever but by what percentage if it means that you will be only 10 yds into the rough rather than 15 money better spent on lessons I wish I had taken my own advice over the years

The drivers the pros use are not the same drivers you are buying at the retail store. If anyone has any different information, I would love to hear it.

The test is to compare the qi10 to the titleist tsr range . Titleist is the benchmark on drivers

I think any driver or even club tests should be done by a 5-18 handicap rather than pga pros because we don't hit the ball as good as you guys

Love TaylorMade, I have gone thru a few of their drivers, M1, M5, SIM and a SIM2, this one might tempt me into trying one with a carbon face, love the look of it and they didn't put that logo up near the shaft like the new one from their competitor.

once again a big difference really between plus and non plus......forgiving with less spin fits me.....taylor made still on forgiving means 3000 spin..

Completely disagree on looks stealth looked alot better. The big boys of golf testing Txg Ian Fraser said the ls was the worst driver ever in terms of dispersion. The price is ridiculous as well.

Taylormade back to the drawing board, can see the second hand price of these being lower than there spin rates come summer

Unless aliens land from some distant planet and give us some unknown alloy I think we have reached max. performance from all manufacturers of drivers. + - 5 yards is not worth worrying about because you still use the same club on your next shot. Not trying to kill the thrill but ...

I don’t think TM has made a decent driver since the original SIM, ironically that’s when KPS purchased TM from Adidas, they kept it for 4 years and sold it on to a Korean investment firm Centroid for $1.7BN a massive profit. Common denominator between KPS and Centroid is they are profit incentivised and short term profit at that. So the annual release policy suits the short termism and asset stripping works by reducing quality R&D. Net result, you get the truly dreadful Stealth, Qi10 yet to be assessed, albeit that the LS version is Stealth in wolfs clothing. TM are now so bad that their playing staff struggle to use the equipment, if Rory can’t use the equipment with any consistency, what chance do we have

I think most people will wait to see if these clubs start falling apart like the stealths… Taylormade just aren’t competitive with Callaway, Titleist, Cobra or Ping in the driver market.
