Great review, ordered my R-Line last weekend to replace my old Tiguan

Has this got 1) Heated & cooled seats? 2) sun blinds? 3) electrically adjustable seats for front co passenger?

I hope to see a more basic trim soon, like the "S" trim here in the US. I can see some Porsche lines in this new 2024 model, but that HUGE screen is going to have to shrink down for me to go VW. Love hearing your voice!

Glad I got my new Mazda CX5 a few weeks ago…..now that is quality finished. Previous car was a Tiguan 2.0TDI R Line got new in 2020….rather too many niggles with that car and of course my version was refreshed shortly after….losing a lot of standard equipment in the process. Price didn’t reduce though 😉 Hope this one’s better.

I wonder who will produce the biggest infotainment screen and how big it will be?. I love tech, but I just think we are starting to get into overkill territory. I am almost pining for old style analogue dials; speedometer etc. They added more character for me. And the manual heating controls of course… but we all go on about that.

That infotainment screen is huge. It looks like it could be a big blind spot for the eye line for some. Cool though but just a big distraction IMO.

I ordered the older with 1 model But retailer said it’s number plated 2024 soo which model will it be??? Does anyone know smth about it?

Interested in the 272bhp hybrid version, will keep a look out for that.

Ill just hope they release the electric version soon. Hopeless to have an hybrid when they have so small batteries

Really like it. So many shit on it but once it's out they'll be shitting on whatever else is new cause haters gonna hate. The rest of us will actually buy one and enjoy it. Great video even though you missed the luggage space and more on the displays. Lovely voice to hear!

I have a passat alltrack, but this actually looks very tempting for my next buy. Passat alltrack 2022, or the Tiguan 2024 .Hmmm......It really depends on luggage space in length, not just volume.. We`ll se.

I think this is one of the best cars in terms of the ratio between interior space and exterior size. It is almost like a tardis. The Mercedes B-class is another one.

They need to improve the ride quality over the last one. Way too bobbly for the type of car. Do you get Apple maps on driver display yet in new VWs?

the knob in the middle console is for volume, when you click it allows for drive modes to be picked but you see there is another circle there. Does it also slide? This button can obviously do something else too. Do you know what it is?

As an advocate for SUVs, i fully approve of this video. Right off the bat: the colour! Looks like a dark moss green finish, not my favourite but it is eye catching. Love the LEDs at the front. Would've been nice if the badge was also LED like other VW cars. The rear looks spot on, but that exposed wiper needs to tucked underneath the rear roof spoiler so that's a zonk. But that interior though❤ spot on!! The Tiguan is VW's best selling compact SUVs, but my gosh the competition is fierce. We're talking the Kia Sportage, the Mazda CX5, the Honda CR-V and of course the Toyota RAV4. So that bega the question: does the VW Tiguan bring enough elegance, technology and performance to the table or should buyers go with one of its competitors? Only time will tell.

I thing VW should have listen customers and brought back physical controls and knobs for heating/AC.

Hi, great review, looking like it's a China car. All cars should have the r line front.

After Diesel gate my confidence and trust was totally lost with VW, backed up with woeful dealer experience, it’s not a manufacturer I would put on my short list to buy from.

I am not much happy with paddle shifters on the current gen. passing back to auto mode is not practical. also when turning corners it is almost impossible to find paddle shifters. instead gear lever much practical. but we don't have gear lever anymore.

Don't like the large screen. And no gear stick just tip tronic ?

That drive mode slash volume control is dangerous. Imagine being on the motorway doing 70mph or 110kph and you go to turn your volume down but accidently push it down and select reverse instead. Boom your motors ruined. Not good.

Volkswagen is bloody awesome. I love everything about the new Tiguan, both the interior and the exterior is absolutely perfect. What's the price of it?

I think a design overhaul and some fancy gimmicks can no longer hide the outdated drive technology of an ICE car, tbh.

Tech will be glitchy, the volume button is just a gimmick and changing drive modes looking down is lousey. If they truly were listening to their customers they would have reintroduced physical heating knobs. The 15 inch screen is ridiculous and I'll guarantee that the new prices will be a huge increase on current prices and vastly more expensive than key competitors. That said, it will continue to sell extremely well.

Have VW reverted to high quality reverse cameras they had until about 2020? The current gen facelift Tiguan and my T-Roc R have horribly grainy cameras. Huge disappointment.

The screen in the middle looks like a flight schedule board. I don't need to fly, I want to drive :) Remove this terrible screen. Please.

German engineering at its best.. Difficult to improve over previous generation buts a great vehicle vws been building cars for year s. Nee tiguan is restraint sophistication as only VW can do

An R version of the Tiguan MK3 is on the works, believe it or not.

I'm not surprised most people ran to see the Passat as I'd say a lot of motorists are fed up with (almost) every new car being a SUV (i.e. Silly Uplifted Vehicle). On another note, while I enjoy your reviews, some of the comments you get are Neanderthal in how they comment on your looks rather than the professional way you review cars. I guess some men haven't moved with the times and still judge a woman on her looks rather than appreciate her intelligence.

Good review...but is the VW head of design an anti- buttons and swivel wheel person? 🤔...what's wrong with having buttons for the heating & cooling? All these touch screens (Mercedes in particular) & screens are doing my head in...😢...nothing wrong with a bit of old skoool...tech overboard.

Would have liked to see the arm rests as the ID5. Test drive the ID models but waiting for the Tiguan as I simply love my current Tiguan

Hi Tish as a Volkswagen owner now I think the new Tiguan looks a great improvement over the old one and I can see the quality is higher I love the green colour on the show car as well hopefully they have backlit the heater controls which was an issue on golf 8 and similar cars

The middle screen size is just stupid. Just looks horrible with 10 icons with oceans of space between them, no way to find something fast without taking eyes of the road.

I remember when this girl was a skinny young lady doing reviews from her mothers drive, now she has filled out beautifully and is doing super in depth reviews at motoring launch venues , very pleased for her . She is like a fine wine who aged well unlike the ex wife who was a sold piece of chedder that went full on Stilton nice enough but you have to shut your eyes at the varacois veins !

A VW Futuristic lol. I do not think so. The only person who know what is futuristic now is whoever has been 20 or even 10 years into the future and came back here. So no one then. Its a stupid word to use. One thing is fir sure whatever cars got it right it's not VW also yes a 15 inch screen us just stupid. That's as big as my laptop. So it's basically a laptop on the dash stupid.
