As a Ford fan boy I was ready to complain at first sight but I’m really impressed by all the steel that’s been added. The rear recovery points look great and the screens and animations along with the overall design have cleaned up the look! Looks like they finally bumped the outlet power from 150W to 400W 👏👏
I still wish we got the FORD EVEREST TREMOR in AMERICA...... this bronco sport isn't too shabby either but the FORD EVEREST is the true 4 runner competitor
@@waynelion-cachet35yet Ford will not bring over probably because Bronco Sport sales will get a hit. I would get the Everest in a heartbeat if they would bring it to the US!
I just bought a 2024 Badlands and I'm quite amazed how smooth, quiet, and refined the 2.0 liter engine is. I intentionally wanted a 2024 because I wanted to have the physical buttons that are being eliminated on the 2025.
I hate that Ford is killing physical buttons in this most recent mid-cycle refresh. First the Maverick and now Bronco Sport. I know that a screen is cheaper than physical buttons, but they have the very real benefit that you can learn muscle memory for real buttons.
A few nice tweaks, but I will be keeping my 2022 Badlands, which I love! Only thing I was surprised they didn't upgrade was replacing the fabric EVAP line shield with a metal shield. That's the only glaring deficiency in an otherwise well thought out off- road vehicle.
I've obliterated mine on trails too many times.. I am thinking of buying JRC Off Road's metal skids because it's just such a weak point in the underbody. Everything else holds up pretty well
@@AnabolicRick915 I plan to make my own. The JCR ones stick down too far and need to be modified for the Badlands. I will taper mine to the center like the felt one is.
@@AnabolicRick915 I bought those for my Maverick Tremor. I absolutely despise the fact they put that fabric crap on vehicles clearly marketed for more than your mundane gravel road....
Not a fan of the all digital gauge cluster. I like the combination of digital and analog gauges from the previous model. Also from what it looks like more of the A/C and radio systems are being transferred to the touchscreen. I like the touchscreen but it doesn't need everything diverted to those systems cause if the displays fail you pretty much lost use of your entire dashboard.
Analog Speedometers and Tachometers are so much better. These digital ones are going to age so badly, I don’t care how good they can make them look today, they’ll all look outdated in 5 years. I don’t mind the bigger infotainment screens, but they should only handle infotainment functions. Keep HVAC and other important functions on physical buttons and dials.
They got rid of all the buttons and dials forcing you to use the touch screen for A/C control. I hate that so freaking much. I also would have liked to see them get rid of the little 1.5 liter, it's pretty wimpy, especially if you go to the biggest possible tire size. My 2021 big bend with 245 65 17 tires feels sluggish.
I wish they gave an option to not get such a giant screen and all the tech. It'd be nice to get a bare bones package save money and not have all the pointless stuff some people don't want.
What comments like yours repeatedly miss, is that the big touch screen _Is_ actually them saving money. A big touch screen now is much cheaper than having to design button panels and knobs and such for new vehicles. One touch screen that costs them just a few dollars saves them so much more than the physical buttons they know you'd like more of. The reason the price is high is not because of the tech, its because they want more money, and they think you'll give it to them. They are oh so happy when people believe that this stuff is expensive for them.
Touch screens ain't expensive. Most auto companies would prefer everything was in the touch screen. Less pieces to break.Less complicated. And a much cleaner cabin which is what they want. Also more simplistic to fix. Not chasing wires all over. It is cheaper to put it all in the touch screen, but people still want hard buttons in places.
They should have to gone to 245/65r17. That would have given about 29.5". As I understand it, Ford says you can install up to 255/65r17 without any clearance issues.
I see they kept the crappy dials in the center console where you could use alot more room if you put in a colum shifter and dash switch. And take out that huge screen that would make more room on the dash.
I think the Bronco Sports are really cool little vehicles. Great for everything you dont NEED low range 4x4 for while getting good fuel economy. That gap is closing however. My Dads Badlands gets ~25-27 and the new midsize trucks are knocking on that door. Would like to see an option for lower priced offroad trims as for these prices, you can get almost the same mpg and much more capability.
2024 Ford Maverick Tremor is the last truck worth getting. Has a higher lift and manual buttons. I do wish it had better skid plates but nothing the aftermaket can't fix.
I have a 2021 bronco sport badlands and a 2004 ranger and love them both. The bronco sport can handle some real stuff nasty trails and terrain especially with those goat modes. I just wish it had a little higher lift
@@poprdog The escape has nothing in common with an "og" Bronco if, by "og," you mean the '66 to '77 Bronco. What on earth makes you think that a front-drive, unit-body car is based in any way, shape, or form on a rear / part-time four-wheel drive, body-on-frame, quarter-ton truck?
Andre great review of the 2025 Bronco Sport! You mentioned that you are 6’3”. Were you comfortable in the driver’s seat? How is the space in the second row behind you? I ask as I am 6’1”.
I'm 6 ft 6 and I fit in it fairly well as long as I put the front seat all the way back, which doesn't leave much room in the backseat. Test drove the full size Broncos too and found these to actually be roomier and more comfortable. Only negative is the seat cushion isn't long enough which you notice on long drives.
As a 21 Bronco sport owner for a couple years now im overall pretty satisfied with the vehicle for what it is. I didn't get it expecting a race car or a true rock crawler. It is meant to be a commuter vehicle in Montana where its nice to have all wheel drive but still get good gas mileage. Which it actually gets better than advertised as long as you don't have a lead foot. I've gotten about 31 mpg avg from mine. The negatives i would say are the still questionable longevity of a small engine being turbo charged, i haven't had mine long enough to know the answer to that. Its fairly roomy for a small vehicle but its still a small vehicle. The seats are not long enough which gets uncomfortable after awhile. And the ground clearance is not as good as it should be imo. Im also not a fan of everything being electric like the emergency brake and what not but other than a few minor glitches the electronics seem to be doing ok. Overall id recommend it to anyone looking for an awd with decent mpg.
Looks great, but price is matching a full size Bronco as soon as options are added. Just priced a Badlands Sport with the mini-quatch package and it’s 45k. I paid $49,995 for my two door V6 Black Diamond in 2023. You can get discounts on the big Bronco now.
Great Video Andre!!. I appreciate the Informational aspects of the questions you presented to the Ford Engineer.👍👍. That Bronco Sport Sasquash looks like a capable machine..
I just bought a 2024 Bronco Sport in March & I'm definitely a little salty haha. I'm hoping you can add the tie down points to older models. One thing that didn't transfer over well from my old compact SUV were the hood anchors I used to tie down the nose of my kayak on longer trips. The increased towing capacity/tongue weight would have been nice too in a pinch since I took a hit there from my old vehicle too, but oh well haha. Gah, Ford!
that underbody looks pretty much like a jeep patriot from 2007 with the trail rated package. that's not an insult, those things are great and the added power from the turbo motor options is welcome. i wish automakers would stop integrating everything into the touchscreen - everybody has been asking for real buttons for years now. keep infotainment in a standardized package that's the same size across all models so we can affordably replace it WHEN it goes out of date and keep vehicle controls physical. Please and thank you.
One thing I just remembered Andre😄Next time you meet some FORD people, please ask if there will a Mavrick with the Sasquash Option!!!!. Mavrick and Bronco Sport come from the same family tree!!!, the Escape..
I sold my bs 2022 badlands because the turbo failed at 7500 miles--Ford replaced it. The paint on all four doors wore off down to bare metal due to a poorly designed bottom door seal, and the battery hold down tray paint started peeling off. My Ford dealer told me that the issues "were normal as compared to other similar bronco sports". Ford's quality and customer service needs a lot of improving before I ever buy another Ford vehicle.
Yep hahah. I guess to be fair that bike has a huge head tube and a really tall stem, so its kind of a worst case scenario. I doubt an MTB would fit though since the wheelbase would be way to long and the bar would be too high due to the long fork.

These vehicles would suit the vast majority of people out there!!
Great introductory video on the updated Bronco Sport. Really like the Badlands with Sasquatch Package. But I'm disappointed in the low load capacity, needs to be 1,100-1,200 pounds.
I’m glad that Ford are iterating a model instead of killing it off when the interest dies down. Maybe they’ve figured out that constant improvement, not novelty, drives sales.
It’s cool for the segment to get more capability and maybe scratch that starter off-road vehicle itch, it just blows my mind that my Bronco 4 door, Sasquatch base model was $40,000 and here we are with the wild track Sasquatch sport hitting that price point. Lol
I test drove these and the Rav 4's and I did not fit in the Rav 4 at all where these little sports are actually roomier than the full size Broncos imo.
UOWWW! This upgrade is very good. I still miss the central lower protections. I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival from Brazil, ready to paint this front and gray rear black.
I'm shocked no hybrid as the 25 Maverick gets hybrid with AWD.... The Bronco Sport is now the only one on that platform that does not offer hybrid AWD as an option.
Big mistake on Ford. A hybrid would be a lot better, it would have low-end torque it needs instead of the clunky 8-speed with a turbo-4. Buy the maverick hybrid AWD instead of this.
@@DrewcardelloI have a ford edge with the 2.0t that you get in the upper trims of the bronco sport/ escapes. I have 60k miles on my edge and never had issues with a “clunky” transmission or engine. It has the 8 speed, is quick and drives great. So do the mavericks with the same setup. Almost bought one of those and loved them. I just preferred the interior of the edge.
@@ZACH_95_ I have a 22 Maverick Hybrid XLT and it's been fantastic. I will be ordering a 25 Maverick AWD Hybrid XLT with tow package. My wife has a 23 Bronco Sport Big Bend.
@@ZACH_95_ I’m glad you like it! I have a 2004 ford with a 5-speed with 183k, but I have my doubts though that the 8-speed, hunts for gears will last that long however. From what I know the Edge has a different 7-speed than the one in the bronco. If you like it, it's good, I guess.
I know that this is a budget off road SUV, but they should have changed the taillights and rear turn signals into LEDs for '25 model instead of keeping them halogens, at least in the upper trims.
Does anyone else have a problem with this "off-road" package only available on the top two trims and pushing the price of these compact crossovers up in the $40k range.....
Get the maverick hybrid AWD instead, much more torque it needs for this kind of driving. Huge mistake on Ford imo. I would kill for a box-SUV that gets 50mpg.
@@Drewcardello Not everyone wants to then have to buy a CAP and a bed organizer with drawers to be able to get what could have been reached from the inside with a SUV. Including Car Camping.
I would like to get a more in depth review of what is added, but it looks like it more than just a few stickers and a name badge, which is good. Oddly, I don't see a Wilderness version of the new Forester, but maybe it is just late to the party (which seems odd, considering they seem to sell every one they bring over). Factor in the up-model engine and assuming it is very capable as a soft roader, it could be a very capable competitor to a Forester Wilderness.
To me $45,000 seems like a lot for a small “crossover”. You could get into a mid size SUV that is just as capable at that price point and offers 100% more, like a Ford Explorer or a GMC Acadia🤷♂️
At $45K what does an Explorer or Acadia offer more apart from size? Are those as capable off road w/o having to put extra money into them? Looking at the Ford website it does not look like they offer any kind of off-road capability that the Bronco Sport Sasquatch offers. If you don’t care about that, but just want more vehicle, then yes an Explorer makes sense.
Not everyone wants midsize (which is 5+ years ago full size). A current Forester is larger than my 2007 3 Row Highlander. I have no need for the size of an Explorer.
@@husshardan3511 To be fair there's a limit to how much off road worthiness you are going to get without a locking center diff and a low range. I imagine the bronco sport is going to give you the "4wd overheat, temporarily disabled" just like the Explorer and Acadia will. I think these tiny little offroaders are neat and I like that they are encouraging people to get out there and do some exploring. I also think they are way more capable than people give them credit for. That being said, for 45k I'd be making the choice between something larger and equally limited by a clutch based AWD system, or something much more capable off road that isn't as good to drive. If the bronco sport gave you a locking torsen center differential and a low range, it'd make a LOT more sense to me.
I think the Ford has extra coolers and their system I believe does a good job of not overheating, I think its the best midsize off roader for sure (with Subaru slightly behind) excited to see what jeep does when they bring the Cherokee back (which had a true low range and locker)
@@Brotherhood676 There was an interesting article on Jalopnik about the press bronco sports overheating, I honestly don't know if they've addressed that or not since then, or if those were just teething problems. I agree with you though. The bronco sport probably is the best midsize offroader with Subaru being the only real competition, and the Cherokee was absolutely the segment leader when it was in production. Honestly if Subaru would transplant the old STI powertrain into an outback wilderness I'd be down at the dealership tomorrow though.
Ford loses billions in EV market and now offers a 1.3 liter? What a joke! $40K for a vehicle that will break down from turbos crapping out most likely supporting a pea shooter of an engine.
Why does the maverick, especially the lobo and the tremor, not get the bigger gauge cluster screen like in these bronco sports. That would look cool and much better than that smaller screen.
Disappointing that there is no hybrid model with the 2.5 L 4 banger. Ditto with refreshed Explorer and Navigator. Farley talks a lot, but so far short on action.
Not one review mentioned the rear seat under-seat storage in the Badlands. Was this removed in 2025? Update: I did find that the under seat storage is still included in the Badlands. It is shown in the order guide.
That front chin spoiler on Sasquatch has limited clearance, and exposed nuts and bolts on the guardrail. Fit and finish still lacks from the big 3. Bolt on touchscreen, looks like a tray charger for your mini tablet from Big Lots. Great video André.
I agree. Why do they add these bumpers that ruin your offroad capability? I wouldn't mind so much of they made it super easy to remove, but the other vehicles that claim its easy to remove have a pretty involved and scary process to remove them.
I own a 2022 Auto Bank, Area 51 Color and love it. I curently have 33,000 KM. I definitly love the big sreen and might trade for the same color Sasquatch. Good work Ford.
Do you folks have that much off road driving locations available? Do you have to drive a couple of hundred miles to find some off road areas? Northern Illinois here and the closest off road is in Northern Wisconsin.
Poor quality? I have had lots of Fords and lots of Chevys snd I can assure you I’ve had way more issues with Chevrolet. Plus, when it comes to work trucks everyone uses ford super duty. You hardly ever see a Chevy work truck above a half ton. If you want a real truck then buy a ford. Not to mention Toyota and how many issues they are having with the new Tundra. The truth of the matter is that ALL car brands have issues but Ford gets a bad rap cause they saturate most of the work truck market. They are used for work, hard work, get abused.
I’m confused because my 2021 bronco Sport Outer Banks had front recovery hooks. It also had a tow hitch and it had full skid plates. Plenty of pictures on my social media feeds document this. My Outer Banks had the MOLLE loops on the back and it had the zippered pocket and also had the 110 outlet within inverter and the 12 V outlet so far. I’m not seeing anything that my 2021. Outer Banks didn’t have other than that .6 inches higher and they’ve upgraded the technology. And I’m pretty sure that rating on my 2021 was 2000 pounds so I’m not sure what happened there. The front skid plate on my 21 Outer Banks didn’t wrap up over the bumper and obviously the bumpers were different. They had prig protrusions on the front quarters. It stuck out, but it did have a plate.
Honestly, i never liked the Bronco Sport, but now at least it seems slightly more functional! BTW, The Granger ESP warranty is well worth the price if you need one!
I feel they did a good job in some places and missed in others. THey went too small on the tires and lift, everyone that modifies their Sports already goes to a 245/65R17 so I dont see how people are goingto be willing to pay $3k just to go up one tire size.
I hated these from the get go. They are the “Bronco II” of this century. I have to admit, I am eating crow now. That badlands Sasquatch package makes that small Ute an absolute beast and quite capable. Great job Ford. (Vomits in mouth a little)
