Those pyro Ruin knights actually give their allies shields when they attack your character who has shields. So Zhongli is the one giving them pyro shields

I don't know if you'll read this, but here are some notes about the game mechanics: - You really should hold Nahida's E more often, as a lot of the enemies aren't marked - When the ruin knights hit your shield, they gain a pyro shield, so don't bring a shielder for that - If you already beat a floor and got 3 stars in a chamber, you don't need to get 3 stars on it again. It stays, so you could just get 1 star then get 3 stars on the chamber you still need to. And to be honest, I think any healer could've been better than Sayu, such as Kokomi who can give amazing heals and some hyperbloom, Kuki for aggravate, even Jean, etc Anyway those are just some things I noticed, have a great day!

I’m surprised, there’s so many people that don’t know the husks get sort of “passives” when hitting a shield. The pyro husk when he hits a shield gives all his teammates a pyro shield, that’s why everyone had a pyro shield, so yeah don’t bring a shielder haha

Moga.. 😭 you already had 3 stars on 12-1, you didn't have to keep getting 3 stars every time when you changed teams! The stars stay! Also, most people don't know that the Thunder manifestation has a transformation phase, when you get it down to 80% HP, the lil anger bar fills up and it becomes immune to damage temporarily, kinda like Maggu Kenki.

for me, the first floor is definitely the hardest one, i always hated the thunder manifestation, ppl just see it as much an annoyance cause something like the worm exist now, but that thing is so annoying with all of its teleport, swinging all around the battlefield, large AOEs, it was the original time wasting boss. The later floors i deal with much better, and i only got 3 stars on the first floor with good rng, where mfker didnt go to Timbuktu and back EDIT: i guess i should mention, the ruin drake in the abyss will always fly, so you need to his the eye or circle on both the wings to knock them out of the air, so a bow character is necessary, but i've seen other ppl use other things but yeh

Little tip for you Moga : The husk knights in 12-2 first half get a high amount of res if u use a shield

The thunderbird has an invincibility window at the start, thats why itto's slashes weren't hitting. Its annoying but it doesn't last too long

I don't know enough about Moga or their content to assume their mindset, but it feels like they made it harder on purpose. They put Zhongli on the Cyno team for no reason, put Kuki on the team correctly then removed her for Sayu (??) >.< Truly some Enviosity-esque moves to make things challenging

any abyss where you cannot reasonably run the same teams for all three chambers of floor 12 is just bad, it's not fun

I like that this abyss oppose a challenge at least a bit, one of the strongest if not THE strongest part of Genshin is the combat system and this abyss actually make you have to stop and think how to deal with problems and use the elemental system the best way you can.

I think having a CC grouper was imperative for me for the first half ;-; It’s really hard fighting the smaller Rifthounds when they’re spread so far apart! Kazuha is a godsend

OMG! HOLD NAHIDA'S E! They made Nahida so you won't need a lot of CCing and you just keep pressing Nahida's E! HOLD IT then AIM it to all your enemies Also, first floor was easy to decimate with a freeze team - never had issue with Diona-Kazuha-Mona-Ayaka in the first half. My Nahda Aggrevate/Hyperbloom team Nahida-Xingqui-Fischl-Kuki had an easy time in the 2nd half

for me it was easier than the previous ones except floor 12 was a bit difficult. I'm f2p so my artifacts and weapons suck but i liked it. Though i forgot to check enemies for floor 11 and had to do it twice 😅 I usually get 32 stars but got 33 this time so I'm satisfied haha 😊 National with Raiden and Kazuha carried btw

This is like the old abyss days where you might change parties.

I used a Hydro Dendro Nilou Nahida team for the first half. Couple that with corrosion and the fact I'm using Barbara instead of Kokomi, and you can imagine how much she was sweating.

I found that Childe hyperbloom with Nahida, Kuki and Venti (for cc/ shred) absolutely trivialized the first half of floor 12. Venti's ult was the best imo for grouping the knights together and the elemental applications this team brought was second to none. You see absolutely NOTHING with all the reactions going on but its one of the most satisfying comps I've ever played and completely destroyed these floors. Highly recommend.

For a Cyno team I'd actually recommend a mixed team (aggravate/hyperbloom) with Kokomi as a healer. With enough EM his hyperblooms hit quite nicely and due to dendro consuming Hydro there's still often some dendro aura for Cyno to aggravate. Kokomi doesn't apply hydro super quickly so aggravates aren't much interrupted, and that interruption gets covered up with hyperbloom

Me, looking at the teams Moga first chose during floor 12: this abyss is harder than usual, but why are you doing this to yourself?

Moga!! Just a suggestion since I rarely even see you use Mona in abyss, you can go Raiden National on 1st Half but use Yelan insted of Xingqiu and use Mona as a buffer on the geo team. I hope you read this and try it out

0:14 That’s not International, that’s Rational. International is Childe/Xiangling/Kazuha/Bennett, and it’s harder to play than Rational (Raiden/Xq or Yelan/Xiangling/Bennett) but if you play it right it deals better damage and is one of the best team comps in the game

The reason Itto's charged attacks werent hititng the electro oceanid is cause after you reduce its health a certain amount it gains invincibility for a few seconds before attacking again.

first half of room 1 and 2 venti works really well. I think I ended up using a freeze team. ayaya + mona + diona and venti

In the first half raiden hyper carry works pretty well, kazuha for grouping bennett for heal/boost while sara can shoot the aeon boss while also giving damage boost. While in the second half Hu tao, xingqiu, yelan, and zhongli also works pretty well, as hutao can easily vape with double hydro units.

I think the stronger abyss this time was because of Nahida's release, when I got her on her first banner, the next spiral was just insanely easy. I literally did the entire thing first try with her, all while my f2p eula was on the other side against phys resistant enemies, meaning she had a gigantic handicap (I used her with Yelan and Shinobu)

watching this was actually harder than comleting abyss myself...

I recommend a bow dps for those who are struggling with thunder manifestation. Nilou bloom is also really nice here because all of the skills follow you (in the case of barbara) but even if you do use kokomi instead xingqiu and nilou have enough hydro to supply consistent blooms.

I actually used moga's usual team of zhongli, bennett, yelan, and yoimiya in the 2nd half of floor 12 😂 What i found really worked for me in the 1st half of floor 12 was kazuha, kokomi, yae, and tighnari all of the off field damage really helped, also a plus that its a hyperbloom team!!

I used Childe National in the first Half and Raiden Hyperbloom in the second Half of Floor 12. It worked really good.

About the husks. Those guys get a shield when they hit your shield. Thats why you suffered more when you used zhongli vs them. I think they get extra upgrades like the bow guy transforms his bow to a shield-bow

I had my Yangfei for the second half and she is amazing against electro oceanid because of her range. She was my main dps for a long time before Tighnari, so it was nice to remember again, why she was my favourite for so long))) And for the record, Tighnari with Zhongli's shield can kill oceanid in time just fine as well :)

Dendro MC is much better in 12-1 for Cyno since their dendro application stays for the latter waves; unlike Nahida who needs to reapply Tri-Karma marks for each waves. And every Husks will receive buffs if they hit you while you're shielded: Pyro Husk: Sacrifices HP to create Pyro Shield for all nearby Husks Hydro Husk: Sacrifices HP to heal all nearby Husks Cryo Husks: Sacrifices HP(?) to enter defense state (blocks incoming damage) Anemo Husk: Sacrifices HP(?) to enter enhanced state (dodge incoming attacks & attacks more furiously)

Electro-charged is also a form of CC, and offers a lot of healing options :) Just as a reminder: Floor 12 is usually catered towards to the characters featured on the current banner. In this case, first half was for Yae teams, while second half was for Yoimiya teams.

Freeze teams work really well in first half of Floor 12

The first half of floor 12 is literally anti shield,12-1 has wolfs and 12-2 has the knights that get stronger,shield themself,heal themself if they hit a shield

I managed to duo this abyss, it didn't feel very hard compared to past abyss. But I am glad to finally see the knights in the abyss! I think your struggle came from bad team comps that you fixed in the end so all gg!

Actually, nahida hyper bloom can completely clear floor 12 second half. Against the electro boss and electro hilichurl, you trigger a bunch of spreads with nahida along with bloom. Against the frost hilichurl, you actually trigger more blooms than usual because of fridge mechanics. Dendro damage also goes through the frost and electro shields. For those without nahida, the electro boss will be a struggle, but the other chambers should be just as easy

It was challenging enough to warrant me putting Zhongli over Kazu on the Cyno team, but thats about it, good difficulty but could definitely be a bit harder.

Yoimiya + Xiangling is surprisingly good for the second team

Venti made the first half really easy for me. Using him in Ayato hyperbloom with Shinobu/Nahida and Ayaka freeze with Kokomi/Rosaria worked well.

I ended up doing a Nahida team with Raiden, Yelan and Kokomi first half and A full geo team with Zhongli, Arataki, Albedo and Gorou. That cleared the whole thing pretty comfortably.

Tbh this abyss is hard not because the enemies themselves, but because they're really tanky for some reason

still much easier than most old abysses especially the lectors and herald ones... I only started 36ing the abyss like few months ago and this one was a pain but still manageable in my opinion

I 36 starred this Abyss using 2 sets of teams: 12-1a: Bennett, Ayato, Fischl, Beidou 12-1b: Ganyu, Xingqiu, Noelle, Hu Tao 12-2a & 12-3a: Bennett, Nahida, Sucrose, Ganyu 12-2b & 12-3b: Amber, Xingqiu, Sayu, Hu Tao Yes, I used Amber. Her burst can destroy Lawlachurl shields quickly, and she is in the cheapest burst bracket meaning Hu Tao can easily charge her burst passively to spam it quickly. Cheap Noblesse build used, and no real investment needed.

Only the big rifthound boss left at 09:09, and me, chuckling forebodingly, "oh you're in danger"

Honestly i found floor 11 easy this time around . It’s the very first time i 9 stars it . However floor 12 was a pain .

Wait Am i the only one that isn't struggling with it? I beat it with Yoimiya and aggravate Keqing, it was kinda easy

After using Hyperbloom (Nahida now but used DMC before, Raiden, Xingqiu, Zhongli) for so long, this abyss had me going back to using my good ol' Raiden Hypercarry team. Lol this was the only time I had to go back to using Raiden Hypercarry since Sumeru came out. Hoyoverse definitely made it more anxiety inducing than before. At least my Raiden got her 4pc Emblem set back after being built on EM for months.

The only hard part was 12-2 ngl, even that was pretty easy after the first run bc i knew how much energy and all i gotta have

For me, this cycle is easier than the previous 🤣 I didn't 36* the last one. I don't want to waste time and stress about it haha. But this cycle is a breeze. The least battles I did ever: 15, rather than my usual 17+ . For the Husks, I just realized I didn't use Zhongli. Just a powerhouse team of Hu Tao, XQ, Yelan and Venti 🤣

I'm actually glad I saw this. Besides Nahida, Nilou, and Cyno and Besides me using Albedo instead of Bennett, my teams the same as yours, but I've been hesitant to try floor 12 because of the Ruin Drake...now I know that's not a problem but the small wolf's and the knights definitely are so ty for the info and giving me the knowledge that there's no way in hell I'm beating floor 12 this patch 😅👌

If anyone is wondering what team comps are good for floor 12 I had a pretty easy time when I used Childe International on top half and Nahida Hyperbloom on bottom half

I thought it was fine, some meatier enemies are more fun to take down and it didn't even impact the time that much. As a F2P non meta player, I still had 40 to 50 seconds remaining on Floor 12 rooms, which has been the standard for a while now.

For those wondering you have multiple choice i did the abyss with different team : first half : Ayaka shinratensei with diona instead of shenhe (for last chamber) OR Childe international Second half : yoimiya + hydro sub dps (yelan or xinqiu) + flex pick + zhongli shield OR Eula team with raiden Rosalia and zhongli (my Eula is c1 + signature weapon so it might helped me tho)

Those ruin knights do take ur energy and they generate sheilds when the banner one( pyro ) hits u with his skill. However they r quite prone to cc not completely tho. Which also makes it difficult since they stagger a lot same as this vishaps lol. I used raiden national and nahida hyperbloom ( with kuki as em bank ) and Jean too since she is Uselful against those wolfs and heals on auto. I generally use catalyst users as main dps so that elecrtro bird is not much of a threat to me but boy he teleports around a lot ha ha. He he it's fun to see others suffering lol cause I only was able to get like 7 stars instead of nine sadge. (´༎ຶ ͜ʖ ༎ຶ `)♡

Personally I actually like this abyss as the somewhat answered our request and gave us harder content, this one actually made me wait and think than the usual just do damage lol.

Sekapoko the youtuber has a video doing this abyss with mainly 4 stars with literally level 1 talents, I wish i was joking. I won this by running Kazuha, Xanling , Melt Ganyu and Bennet on the 1st half and Nahida, Zhongli, Xincho and Kakomi on the 2nd half (I know I spelt the name wrong don't care). It was super easy. All my 5stars are C0 and my 4stars are C6.

I can't do abyss myself bc I have trash artifacts 😭 so watching you makes me feel like im doing abyss , keep it up moga! ♥️

My Nilou and Yoimiya teams absolutely smoked this abyss so I was surprised to see people struggled this hard lol.

hi idk if you know this, but if you have already gotten 3 stars on one floor, you can leave and start from the beginning with another team (that is better for the next chamber) and you wont lose your 3 stars because technically you've already earned them. i hope this makes sense, i dont know how to explain it properly 😭

For my first team I opted for no healer so Cyno, Fischl, Nahida and Kazuha. I may or may not have made an opsie when I forgot to dodge the big rifthound but still managed to live. Second team I just went full geo coz of the lawachurls and it worked perfectly fine. A tip though bring healer for the first team but not a shielder. Those husk will give shield to their allies if you use your shield. Also you can take down the drake if you use Keqing or Zhongli's pillar and even his meteor. I tried it just for the fun.

You could just attack the cube with Nahida at the end to help fill the bar as well

I use nahida+xq+raiden+koko hyperbloom on the 2nd half and it was very good, it melts the thundering manifestation as the hyperbloom chases it even when it moves around.

If it helps (I know everyone's team is going to be different or dont have certain characters). For floor 12 first half, I used kazuha (can use sucrose), Kokomi (or Barbara), Tighnari (or collei), and yae miko. For 2nd half, I used Zhongli, nahida (or dendro traveler), yelan (xingqiu), and klee (yanfei, yoimiya)

the wolves hitting you while in burst animation, unlike every other enemy in the game, drives me nuts. it took me 4 tries, but i was super proud of finishing this abyss. i have NOBODY's signature weapons and c0 for everyone lol.

For me I used Childe, Fischl, Kazuha and Nahida for first half and Raiden national team for second half. Childe's riptide comes in handy with the Serpent Knights together with hyperbloom DMG. Managed to all star them floor but yeah it was hard

16:55 that happened to me before on a Mangu Kenki in abyss hitting him with Itto charge cause no damage mid battle with him just standing there. I need to record it to make sure. That's why I never finished it on time so frustrating.

I used Ayaka freeze in the 1st half (Ayaka, Ganyu, Kokomi, Kazuha) and Yoimiya double geo on the 2nd half (Yoimiya, Yelan, Yunjin, Zhongli). Struggled the most with cryo lawachurls, bc Yoi doesn’t apply enough pyro to melt their shields as fast as i needed, swapped Yunjin for Bennett and got my 36*. Ayaka and Yoimiya hard carried me through this abyss rotation, it’s harder than usual, but i actually like it, had so much fun!

I had fun in this Abyss, my teams were HuTao double geo on first half and Tighnari, Fischl, Yanfei, Kazuha on second. The dendro cube isn’t as hard as I initially thought, but I will say that my Yanfei shield carried since I had no healer.

For anyone struggling u need a CC and bow unit (kazua sucrose fishcl etc) for first half. And quick damage characters second half (ayato, yoiymiya, hutao basically anyone with an E skill that does damage)

I would love to see moga experiment with albedo in more em teams as a burst support, as his burst gives a decent amount of extra em

what i did for the second chamber of floor 12 was bennett, kazuha, xiangling, childe 1st half and raiden, nahida, barbara xingqiu. the thing with the first half is that your dealing with 2 waves of 4 medium heavy enemies (enemies that are hard to group but easy to displace) that are fairly tanky, that means what you need above all else is to accept the fact that your not gonna hit them all at the same time with every attack and instead try to take out 2-3 of them at a time, leave the others alone and they'll try to use their moves and go back into your attack range. second half is fairly easy, as long as you have 1 minute to a minute 30, you can take it out with a hyperbloom team (trying to use pyro here is just going to make the other floors harder)

A few tips for everyone that is struggling at floor twelve- Venti for the first phase is amazing. Sucrose(If built right) can be good too. A powerful Healer is necessary, and if you want to kill the Aeonblight Drake faster, bring in an Archer to down it when it is airborne. I saved 40 seconds over my original tactic which was pretty much brute forcing with Raiden-Nahida-Xingqiu-Kuki, by simply bringing in venti with Shenhe, Bennett and Ayaka. The manifestation is fairly simple if you get enough practice and have a good Vapourise team comp, Cryo is also suitable. I used Xiangling, Xingqiu, Albedo and Sayu for the second phase(Just to test it out) and made it through after 3 attempts with 6 stars(Had to dodge like a maniac at the lavachurl phase, but Albedo came in clutch). With a mediocre Dragon's Bane Hu Tao Build, 9 stars were somewhat manageable(She died like 12 times on the lavachurl phase. Skipping Big dong Zhong was a mistake.) One more thing. In my experience, Phase two of the last chamber is harder than phase one. Do not underestimate the Sumeru Mobs(Fatui are a joke like always).
