@@Karolomen Acually you can swith it off. Go to friends on steam (i mean chat) and you can choose - offline, online, away etc. and there is one option 'don't disturb' (or something like that. Hope that will help ;P

The overgrown foliage kind of reminds me of those Unreal Engine overgrown maps. I remember a guy remaking a section of Dust 2 in Unreal Engine and I want him to do the same on this new Cache.

0:07 the mushroom on the tree is a wild mushroom called "Chicken of the Woods" or Laetiporus. Its very edible and tasty :)

I just hope there isn't a lot of radioactive cesium inside of the mushrooms - here in germany ( 30 years after the chernobyl accident ) there are still places in Bavaria etc. with radeioactive soil :^)

0:55 that's what they did in Halo 3, but you could only see the additional details when you are close due to low antistrophy. It still blew my mind when I looked at it again a few years ago how good it looked

I guess I'm the only one who enjoys the 1.3/1.6-like simplicity and emptiness of the old maps. It is so satisfying to play when no texture can distract you from seeing opponent. RIP old cache, you will be missed.. just like a lot of other maps.

4:16 it’s somewhere in settings of the Shift+Tab place. It’ll take some digging but I promise it’s somewhere there. Try checking the settings thing next to the name. Sorry for not being as helpful as possible, away from cpu atm. Hope you find it!

Quick tip if you stand on the truck on T spawn you can barely see the head of CTs that are standing in the new window in connector.

Philip, you can disable steam overlay in the properties of the game, though this disables *all* popups and the alt-tab menu. I don't think you can disable friend request popups themselves, though. Just trying to be helpful.

TBH those transparent detail textures are tech from 2007 (introduce in Source in HL2: Episode Two). That said it's crazy that more people haven't been using them creatively. Maybe one day Source will finally get support for such advanced and groundbreaking tech as parallax occlusion mapping.

Negev isnt worth is when you passed MG. I dont think you can use it for actually killing purposes. Stopping enemy rushing is the only thing its useful. Which is not so useful compare to deagle and armor or scout. Much better.

There is a "huge" bug on B that you can bang through the louvres with the grid in front of them. But just one way (from the CT side) and you do like 23 dmg per shot of an AK. You only can shoot back from Garden a bit in specific angles. Hope it gets fixed soon. And on the wooden palette behind the new box on A is kind of a small step on it. You get slightly elevated when you move forward on the palette around the middle of it. Doesn't make a difference, I guess but yeah I just noticed that. Otherwise it's a really nice rework.

Same. Tho maybe it was only cranked up for the the reveal to forcefuly make it "new". Judging by how these oversaturated awful graphics mods are popular with GTA V and with comment sections full of 10 year olds awwing over how much "better" it is - It works. Its not the first time when oversaturation and excessive reflections were *"better graphics"*

You can jump ob the garage doors in sun room and the sun itself becoming a sun a god (glad I found that jump myself this morning). Another jump I found is new box on a site near truck to red apc. The mid jump can be done two ways, the easy way, or the old way (you can still show off your amazing kz skills) I had a really fun time trying different jumps, nadea etc :)

I used to only play dust 2 because it was the only map I could play without experiencing too much lag, then when it got updated I switched to cache and mirage because those were the second least laggy maps. Well shit.

Me and my friend tried to find good spots and we noticed if you crouch at the edge of the apc on the right side, as far left as you can, you wont ser main but if someone crosses you will se the red ”enemy” tag.

Literally nobody thought that CT side in mid needed another advantageous spot. Mid is already CT sided to begin with. And those two new camping spots at B site. Good god. As if trying to take B site wasn't stressful enough already with how many angles you have to check, they decided to ADD MORE. This new Cache feels heavily CT sided. People queuing up for cache in competitive gotta pray to be on CT side for the first half now to win. If this is gonna be the future of map redesigns, then please leave Mirage alone. Mirage is the last safe haven for people who want a balanced map.

It's interesting that they made the mid self boost easier on this map (which as someone who can do it on the old map, I don't think i like), but on inferno the self boost from porch to the awning next to boiler was made much harder. Obviously it's two different map makers but I still find it interesting.
