@@leephilips5781 no it isn't, there's many improvements in ck3 that I think make up for the losses from ck2, as much as I would love to see more of the content in the old game return

Unlike with Elder Scrolls games, CK3 has its source code available in the loose files, and modders are able to literally type up .txt files in Paradox's coding language, put them in the game folder, boot up the game, and watch their mods take effect. It's a modder's paradise.
This mod is great. I had a run where I started as bloodskaal in solstheim I proceeded go unify solstheim then I converted to the worm cult and became a lich after which I continually raided vivec city I also had like 20 children because of all my concubines. Real madness.
I've watched pretty much any Lets Play of Elder Kings 2. But with your amazing knowledge about the Elder Scrolls it was the most fun to watch. Please play more Elder Kings on your Channel

I’d been eagerly awaiting the release of this mod for a very long time and was not disappointed by the result. The attention the detail is astounding and the sheer variety of customization gives the mod maximum replayability. There are so many interesting nuggets of lore hidden in the descriptions of the different ethnicities and religions that I was hoping someone from FudgeMuppet would come across it - so I’m glad you enjoyed the mod, Scott!
Scott I love your role playing style and I would absolutely love a CK3 series from you and a dynasty. I love watching CK2 AGOT let’s plays, but a Elder Kings narrated by you would be amazing!!

Hey guys! First time commenting on one of your videos but I just want to say that your builds and content has helped me tremendously through my mental health struggles throughout the years. Whenever I feel really down or like I’ve been stuck in a rut there’s nothing that will get me out of it like a good fudgemuppet fallout 4/skyrim build to try out. I commend you for continuously breathing new life into the games we all hold close to our heart, y’all will always be legendary in my book
I have about 540 hours on Crusader Kings 3, I actually found this channel when i downloaded Elder Kings and waa trying to figure out what the hell this world was. I'm glad to see this video!
Thanks for making this to get the word out to people. Probably the best mod I've seen for any game, just based on pure ambition that it took to complete. Idk how easy moddding is in the game but this must have taken such a coordinated effort to incorporate so much rich lore then also some suggested paths to take it from there. Really impressed by Elder Kings ngl lol such a pure rpg feel
I swear, EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE loves Morilye. She is literally one of the most played non customs in the mod. I guess everyone loves the swamp Ayleid mommy. Real talk tho, her start is literally perfect for returning or veteran players. Her position between Cyrodiil and Black Marsh is perfect. But provides a challenge as everyone around her wants to kill her. But still. Love her, and love Loriasel.
I started playing ck3 because of this mod (I'm not the biggest history fan but I LOVE the elder scrolls) and I am LOVING ck3... its fantastic. Its just a deeper civilization game
I've been playing EKII for about a week and I played in Morrowind as I had never played the 3rd game of TES, With a few friends explaining the lore to me I had made a character with the sole goal of wiping out the Tribunal and bringing Morrowind out of the hands of the false gods. Starting as a Barony(Custom Character) of Hlaalu and working my way to dismantling Hlaalu as they worshipped the false gods and Didn't grant me my independence. After dismantling Hlaalu I gave fealty to Indoril, dismantled them and made my own house out of the Kingdom of Stonefall title(I changed it to House Hleran) and then Converted to the Nerevarine cult. Now I lead the Armun-Ani Culture and I have Taken Vivec's Metropolis from the hands of the Tribune, leading a Holy wars as Azura's wrath manifested.
It is would be awesome to see another video like this about elder kings. Not a full play through or anything, just like a 20-30 min recap. Loved the vid

@@DBswag_ You totally should! Ck3 is very beginner friendly, if you first play the base game. Which case you can play a vast aray of different things that is being developed.

Honestly I’m so glad you did this. As someone who only played oblivion and Skyrim but LOVES the lore and watching vids like yours or epicnates on it, this mod like… added a whole new perspective on the elder scrolls world for me, seeing it from a worldwide perspective like this was so freaking cool
I knew this was the Ck3 mod once I saw the thumbnail, I really do love this mod, played as a vassal on hammerfell and reunited the hammerfell empire and it felt so good
Oh yeah, Elder Kings 2 is a jewel. Been playing it since launch, and have been utterly adoring it ever since. The team making it may as well have made a whole new game by this point. Already conquered Cyrodiil twice by now. Have yet to play elsewhere.
The great achievement of this mod is that it makes Tamriel BIG again. And yeah, making the races have way less hard delineation, and just balkanizing the world in general, pretty much every decision they go with is how I was already leaning. Y'know a good chunk of early TES lore was developed by people on Bethesda's forums? Like,some of the Divines are named after people who's books got into Daggerfall. I genuinely wish TES was still like that. Because this is the most fully realized version of Tamriel out there.
I’ve had quite a lot of experiences with EK2 already. My favorite is when in one of my playthroughs, Bruma was going to conquer most of Cyrodiil but I didn’t want that because that meant they would also eventually conquer me. So I assassinated the entire royal family over the course of a decade. Bruma lost multiple wars and had multiple revolutions and virtually collapsed from the inside.
I had no idea a conversion for CK3 was out already -- good news! I've been playing around with the Elder Kings for CK2 for years and have had a great time. Thanks for covering this... any chance of an in-depth coverage, or even some actual play?
It's an extreme coincidence that over the holidays I have also spend an obscene amount off time playing the same game, check out the lord of the rings realms of exile mod pack, starting a goblin play through with my friends
i love how diverse black marsh is with the kothringi and lilmothit, and it all makes sense in lore since this is a few hundred years before the khnaten flu wipes out most nonArgonians from the province

I've been playing this mod as Harkon. I've made a custom religion about the prophecy in dawnguard and ive conquered and enthralled high rock, skyrim, and hammerfell so far, about to take the imperial city.

I love to see the paradox games getting more recognition by outside communities, yall should check out Old World Blues for Hearts of Iron 4, one of the most detailed and gamechanging mods in all of gaming not just HOI4.
This is awesome. I would love to see you guy do podcasts about regions on the map and talk about them in depth. For example, any discussions about Morrowind and Vvardenfell and start in that area. Doing this with live gameplay sounds like a nice dynamic.Thanks for showing the mod too.
To anyone who may stumble across this video and comment if you like the idea of this but don’t have Ck3 I would recommend you try the older ck2 version of this mod. Ck2 is free to play but it has a lot of dlc but you can get a subscription for $5 month that lets you play all dlc and it’s worth it over buying Ck3 for this. Elder kings 2 has had more Dev time obviously so it’s more feature complete and has a lot more depth (such as the ability to interact with various gods like deadric princes. Overall elder kings 3 is fun and will get better over time but if you don’t already have Ck3 and are willing to spend $5 for a subscription then elder kings 2 is the more complete experience.
In my game as whiterun, Atrebus immediately died of explosive diarrhea, the potentate was vassalised by House Hlaalu and Daggerfall migrated to Falkreath. So i united Skyrim and married my niece, the Queen of Bruma. I also reformed the dragon cult on the latest character and established the Empire of Keizaal
Just a heads up for anyone new to CK3 and is looking to buy it. For access to cool things like the Royal Court, you need its dlc. The rest you can manage without, but Royal Court is kind of a must have. Before downloading EK2, try giving vanilla CK3 a try and play the tutorial, it'll help you get settled into the various systems of the game. A major mistake Fudgemuppet did here in his Ayleid campaign, was allowing anyone to become a Knight. The game automatically selects the highest prowess characters to serve as Knights, but that also includes your spouse and heir, which gives a chance of dying or disfigurement as was often seen here.
And protip: Don't found Holy Orders Might sound baffling considering they're essentially free soldiers, and yes they are useful that way. But Holy Orders will take over a barony holding like a city and provides zero income or levies to you. Not to mention, Holy Orders can't build or upgrade its holdings, which is especially detrimental for City holdings as the Guild building is crucial for developing your counties. And the worse part? Holy Orders *spread* Either they'll ask you in exchange for gold, or they'll bribe your vassals for theirs. Which would eventually turn many valuable money making cities useless. The free troops just ain't worth it most of the time.
It's also a good idea to limit the spread of your culture. Basically, the average development of counties that have your culture has an affect on your research. The better overall development the better your research would be. But if you go around converting counties with like 1 or 3 development, your overall research speed will be hampered. Only develop counties if it's the de jure capital of a title you intend to give to a vassal of your culture, or if it has high development, like anything past 10.
If anyone's been interested in something like this for fallout Old World Blues for Hearts of Iron 4 is a great mod. Funny enough last weekend I was talking to a friend about how cool a RTS mod for ES would be after we got done playing OWB.

CK3 is already one of my most played games, so when this came out I actually changed the files and background and logo of the game on steam to rename it to Elder Kings 2 since it is basically the only thing I play for this game (for the most part)
I hope you start doing walk throughs on interesting custom made characters, cause I love how detailed this game can get, but I have a hard time immersing myself!

Wow, I was waiting for this back when I played CK3 but I took a break and missed its release. Used to love the mod for CK2 and this looks even better, so much work must have been put into this by the modders.

I have been completely consumed by this game for a week now, so I'm here to say I'd love to see more of this haha. Also well done at the end when you were talking about the Year and how she died and it lined up with the music like the oblivion intro
Took over Tamriel and established the Empire as the ruler of Daggerfall and it actually started the 3rd Era (I was surprised the game didn't end). My PC is slowed down to a crawl. Uniting High Rock was the hardest part, it took me almost 400 years, but once I finally became High King, I used intrigue to marry off my daughter to the heir of Western Skyrim, and make it a matrilineal marriage (They had about 90% of skyrim conquered) Once my grandson became High King, I used my position as house head to claim his title, so I simply waited until they were weak, since they were still constantly at war. Once they only had about 17k troops and no allies I declared war for the entire territory of western skyrim, which was about 85% of Skyrim at this point. I was OP. After Skyrim fell in 2E 809, it only took me about 150 years to fully conquer the rest of Tamriel, since I could now conquer entire kingdom tier realms from having so much prestige. Alinor and Elsweyr were already united so they fell in just a few years in a single war. Thankfully, Primogeniture succession laws + the ability to choose an heir ensures that the empire will never fall apart unless me and all of my children die.
