I think it would be a good idea to allow us to load into a new map since the current one is sort of complete. After completing and doing everything in one yard we go to another where there are possibly new bugs, dungeons and bosses.

I think that there should be a completely empty map where there’s no grass assets or cave and labs just a flat land of dirt and a wall is the only thing and I think there should be a sculpting too so you can make your own caves and you can put every asset from the story but except for some things like the pond shed tree head and you can make labs and they can snap to a grid and clear dirt where the lab pleases need to be

2:45 in my testing I've actually setup a Mant fight in one of the boss rooms. I put an Ash door in because it fits the doorway well, with half wall in the gap above. Door starts out closed and locked, but when a player walk up it unlocks and opens, then closes and relocks when the player leaves the immediate area. If you go in there's a meal on the floor set to spawn the Mant when grabbed, and the door is set to unlock and open after his defeat. I did all that just playing around trying to figure stuff out, I can't wait to see what someone with a plan and a good understanding will be able to make.

You can make your own story in the custom map wich is very COOL ❤ You can add whatever bugs , items , anything And i think that you can even add The Bosses for your custom map its really COOL ngl ❤ Grounded is becoming better and better every year ❤❤❤

Best map editor ever was far cry predator you could set the ground level water level ect so you could have a flooded map or even one with sky islands

This might be kinda controversial, and I don't want this to come across as negative as I LOVE this game, but: A part of me really wishes they used this type of dev work to develop the core game more. With the time poured into this update from the team, they could've easily added a few bosses, more enemies, more locations, and just made the midgame / endgame just *that* much more better than it is already. The reason I'm saying this is because I have a gut feeling that the team will cancel future updates for this game and move on to future projects soon... And to be honest, with the tease of this being the "biggest" update they've ever made, I don't want to say it's a let down, but it certainly wasn't expected and I don't quite see the use of something such as this. Either way, I'm still excited to play this update, but I am a little sad there isn't more content in the actual game I can really be excited to hop back in the game with like how the Infected Brood, Wasp Queen, Mantis, etc. were for me. I just don't see myself having the urge to play this update again after I find everything out about it... Just kinda like a cool thing, I guess. Anyway, I hope there is more content coming down the line that adds to the core game... Another update with similar time poured into this one, but with something like a DLC or entirely new area / Tier IV would be awesome, there's also some really awesome suggestions I've seen on the Discord that would be awesome to see implemented. But yeah, I think this game already gets enough hate as is, so I'd hate to add to that, just throwing in my own two cents

@@JadePGC just watched your other videos going over the door & the interview, and to be honest, i still feel quite mixed. though i do feel a tad upset that they're pretty much done with the backyard, it sounds like they're going to add new content to the game THROUGH Playgrounds, which, could be cool. unsure of how they'd implement this, but if they could directly make Playgrounds directly accessible with modding (like an advanced option to be able to create your own mods), then i'd honestly be pretty excited for that. they made it sound like they were limiting the core game due to the prior consoles not being able to run it, so i think itd be cool if they added an option for players to be able to kinda add onto their own experience through the same backyard... like quite literally easily create and test their own content THROUGH the game that can be shared with others. that'd open the door to possibilities of a group of people / person to kinda create their own take on what they want added to the game, and i truly think that there is a LOT of potential with that direction.

@@asuramp3that last bit you suggested is actually exactly what's happening with playground mode. People can use it to create whatever they want, be it mini games or even a whole quest line of their own, and then share it with others via a map code. Unfortunately there's no in-game browser to view other people's creations, but iirc I heard mention that they're working on getting that up too. Currently you'll have to find the codes elsewhere and input the ones you'd like to try.

lmao smallands never even got more then 5k players at launch, its done ok but nowehere near the popularity of grounded, console sreleases wil help a little but grounded is 10 time sbigger game in quality and scope

its not just size and actually mr game dev lots of games have this issue, conan exile sis most famous for it having their dungeons located mile s away that you teleport to to save memory, grounded is 10 times more complex with its systems than most survival games too, it has better ai massive amount of functions, and they are optimising for older gen consoles, i think if your gonna be crotical in futre 1. know what the f ya talking about 2. as above

@@JadePGC they could definitely incorporate some area that have u teleport somewhere else or have far away parts of the map not be rendered in like when ur in the undershed the rest of the map doesn’t need to be loaded in…also it’s a fact that they are terrible at optimizing this game😂also why worry about last gen jus have it be a next gen game
