It's all starts from the Engine name SHERPA - a member of a Himalayan people living on the borders of Nepal and Tibet, renowned for their skill in mountaineering.
2.75L is definitely a worthy price tag for this Himalayan. As both Adv390X and Himalayan are now almost same in terms of performance and price, its interesting to see what one chooses !!
@@xghost4469besides, experience has taught me that I shouldn't get first Gen of any bike. Wait atleast a couple of months till they sort out the issues
Stunning video from Team PD as always.. Presenter Painter hope to see you later soon... The Best Aniruddh award goes to the team who recorded BGM for this video and many more.. One suggestion would be to mention the team members who contributed to the video so that we can appreciate their dedication.....loads of love and gratitude.. shubh deepawali team PD... Keep up the good work..
HIMALAYAN deserves this kind of Vireo!!❤ 🎉❤ Definitely on my list along with 390ADV.....! Waiting for sea level performance n review.....😊 Great video PD....keep going!!❤
Great video as always. I agree with Varun, that this bike needs cruise control for those super long rides, specially with 17 litres of fuel tank and more than 500 km of range.
This video is far better and professionally made than the official RE :). From script to the perfect background number and even editing you guys nailed it.
A wonderful video, what an amazing blend of shots, cinematography and my god, the music and beat synced transitions! For the bike, i think i’ll wait for the tubeless spokes to come in, and hot swap once they’re here. Looks quite promising so far, waiting on a test drive now!!
@@powerdriftofficial RE raising the bar🔥. Himalayan is going to be the benchmark for single cylinder adventure bikes all over the world. And the screen mirroring 👏👌. I think the militaries all over the world should add Himalayan to their fleet.
I will surely pick one up only once the tubeless spoke wheels are made available. Now I am thinking what can RE do in the next version. This has everything one would need. Maybe add adjustable suspension (maybe will be offered as an accessory in this model itslef), Traction Control, QuickShifter and even these are really not that important. Anyone reading this, feel free to chime in with your thoughts on what RE could add in the next version. Functional stuff and not cosmetic like new paint scheme etc.
Well, RE doesn't have the history of adding a lot of features once the bikes are launched. So I am a bit sceptical. They took 5 years for adding alloys on 650s and other bikes in the portfolio haven't seen anything substantial either. So this is what you will get for the next 5 years. RE will quickly move on to the next launch now.
This video credit goes to editor but well done, its always team work, as far as RE they are unbelievable and we as a consumer heaving more better options.
More than the bike i loved the background score of the video..Simply Lit ❤❤..Whoever it is ..he deserves a healthy raise on his paycheck..not many out there who can do this and that too this well..🎉👌
Varun, one doubt, how smooth is the engine ? On a scale of 1 to 10 as compared with CB350RS for reference. Coming from a Honda fan, this will be my 1st RE. Didn't like the vibrations of earlier RE engines. Thank you.
VP says the new gen Royal Enfield's are quite refined. We saw a dramatic shift after the 650s rolled out. Even the J series platform is exceptionally refined. There is a buzz around the bar ends and the tank at higher revs but nothing too problematic.
Was always longing for a better designed front fascia... Like the European or Sweden bikes with fairing and creases.... Although functionally round doom does work, but a better design could have been great....
Since RE motorcycles have been torque monsters for quite some time now, I don't think city commute is going to be much of a hassle. The new Himalayan might just deliver a stupendous amount of low end torque but then again that's wishful thinking. So, fingers crossed. Let's wait and watch!!
Hi @powerdrift team. Really helped me analyse my choice but honestly I’m still confused over Himalayan vs KTM 390 Adv SW or Standard. Would love people’s input and thoughts on my decision making. To give you a background, I’m 40, I’ve learnt riding on my dad’s Bullet 1980 model, still running strong. Never owned an adv or gone off road. But would love to try. Please help
New engine, new design however same old old RE... Unworthy of the trust... Still has all the lag issues, you cannot fit anything on your own as it will cause all sorts of hidden problems to arise.. For the money that they are charging, the light is worst, the design of the light is worst, side stand looks like the bike is about to fall.. Even in the video, they have used stones to make the bike stand upright... If you take the bike to the showroom, the showroom mechanics cannot fix any of the issues because they have been asked by the RE area managers that the issue must be escalated always for them to come and have a look (that's it, just have a look and not fix it)... And what a waste to be called an instrument cluster.. The whole idea to have it is so that we can avoid using the mobile and save battery but I need to keep the mobile on always??? Not sure what the designers were smoking while designing... It looks like Apple 2.0 where company folks wanted to launch something new but did not have the brains to know what to bring new, so they just changed the way the engine looks and still thought we'll make the customers look like A&&H@1&s by charging them high on the paint job and everything else I'll keep it dumb... Way to go RE...
The video echoes my thoughts at the price point, i got mine delivered recently and finally i feel absolutely comfortable, at my height adjusted to the max seat height, at this price RE has hit the proverbial bulls eye, only thing is tube tyres but that can be taken care off, having said that i have all the double cylinder from RE and and the Singnal series and newly launched the cult bullet, yes all of them have RRPs and performance air filters, the beauty about RE is every motorcycle has its own character, but guess the GTs will be my all time favourite, but that might just change with the new Himalayan, another 2 gems from RE is the Interceptor and Super Metoer, now the wait for the Shotgun!
390 adv now with adjustable suspension, is a far better machine than new himalayan, but i don't like the 390 adv looks ,and i really like the looks of new himalayan specially with this colour
is it comfortable for long rides and how does it perform on sharp curves when we take turn. some bikes skid. how is the grip ? Though i did not take test ride but i tried sitting on it and i did not feel seating position comfortable. whereas the sitting position on scram 411 was much more comfortable than this. have some suggestion please reply
What a great review..even though the bike might have some shortcomings based upon the observations. The way it is presented in the video makes it more desirable. Keep up the great work team PD👍🏼
Absolutely Amazing Product RE Just Amazing The Design Is A Proper Adventure Motorcycle Power Figures Are Also Check Gadgets You Got It Now Just Provide Tubeless Spoke Wheels And Ot Will Be BOMB 💣 Very Well Done Proud Of My Desi Loha.
Great video guys. PD rocks as always. Suggesting "again " Music volume is too loud. Atleast when varun is talking, reduce the music volume a bit guys. Cheers 🥂
Aww dude that's a bummer with the Google Maps thing. So if I understand correctly, we open GMaps and connect with the motorcycle and keep the phone in our pocket but cannot turn off the screen? Am I correct in understanding this? Could be fixed via firmware update easily. Surprising no one else has mentioned this. Also someone mentioned the gold rims are from Excel Takasago. Is that correct?
That's absolutely right. The screen once locked makes the screen resort to turn by turn. RE's counter to that is a charging port below the handlebar. Its not the best solution but its what we get for now. Needs fixing for sure.
As a Himalyan BS6 owner for 3years my honest thoughts would be that the fuel tank tooka a bit less masculine and the instrument cluster with a single round meter looks a bit less classy.Probably a TFT screen like the 290adv would have been a good option.
Its a cheap carbon copy of Hero Xpulse & was startled to find out that they even copied the sound ....they could have restored the previous launch Himalayan body replaced with the new engine...the previous macho ness is gone ....Hence it looks quite Gay
Boss for a foreign brand you boast a bike even if there lot of issues....but when a local brand come up with such a fantastic packed bike u mellow the whole review....such a cheep things
Can u tell me the name of the song u used in this vedio… it was amazing and the Himalayan review was literally perfect…tym to purchase the bike right away
I strongly dislike the look of the new one. I feel it has lost all of the charm of the original. It is starting to look like all the other adventure bikes. I hope we will still be able to purchase the old ones.
Hello sir, Mera ak confusion hy ki KTM adv 390 or Himalayan 450 kon jada bhetar hayy, Aap na in dono bike ki drag race karbao tab samajh me aur Jada bhetor hojayga ❤❤❤
Pillion comfort? Considering if I'm going to bring my wife along and strapped with side luggage, would that be more comfortable than, say... a Meteor 350?
Hello Team of Power Drift India Happy Diwali, Please update about the Royal Enfield 452 (Sherpa 450 Engine) Roadster SCRAM day to day lifestyle commuter motorcycle India launch plan other than New awesome Global Unveil RE ADV Himalayan 452 Made in India products for the World.
1. Bike looks amazing. 2. Reviews say its promisingly. 3. But RE taking to much time for pricing. I say, just make sure its On-road price for top variant doesn't cross ₹2.99lakh (Pune).
A tutorial will help. Plus way too many videos on the internet for people to learn. FYI - The suspension will never get damaged, the ride quality gets affected.
@@powerdriftofficial that DIY youtube tutorials are the actual killers, everybody wants to be everybody, it's like jack of all and master of none. We may not have the right tools to tighten it enough after adjusting, resulting in wear and tear damage more faster than actually anticipated
